Another great video. Thanks for this. Do you have any recommendation for the type of anchor rope to use? I'm using scotty anchor locks bow and stern. I'm in Kamloops if you have a local-ish source in mind.
Just curious on what your thoughts on anchors spooking fish are I'm want to try fishing chronimids vertically off my pontoon boat and am a bit worried about spooking fish and would anchor rope colour make a difference
Definitely plays a part I believe. I would know what to think as a fish if these giant chunks of lead were falling all around me. I don’t know how much anchor rope spooks them, but usually keep my ropes a pretty neutral beige or green colour.

I think the concern with the lead anchors are when you leave them at the bottom of the lake.
Definitely, have only ever lost one anchor and luckily it was a homemade one with rocks in a bag. My early years involved a lot of trial and error 😂

Jordan, why is a coated anchor not a good idea?
In my experience, the slicker coated anchors can have a harder time biting on some bottoms
