ESP has been absolutely KILLING IT with the E2 lineup. I own an ESP E2 Horizon NT2 in see-thru black and it is honestly the most well built guitar that I have ever owned. Worth every penny. They have been doing better with the E2 lineup than they did with their old Standard lineup. The quality of these guitar's is amazing. ESP are true craftsmen.
Esp is an amazing company, my first real guitar was an LTD and it set a high standard for me, then i touched an actual ESP and my erection didnt cease for hours. Figuratively that is
I honestly think the E-II logo looks better. On most models it’s a very high quality inlay rather than a cheap decal like the old standard series. The font is more aesthetically pleasing too.
Rammoshe I own 4 E-IIs and 2 standards and I can tell you that they’re identical in quality. I’m even about to get rid of a standard and plan on replacing it with another E-II soon. They’re made in the same factory by the same people with the same process. No difference whatsoever. They feel exactly the same.
Rammoshe they’re sought after by morons like you who are being stubborn and hard headed about the logo change for really immature reasons. The E-II models have better finishes and more modern features and THE QUALITY IS THE SAME! I don’t care about the ESP logo. It’s on the back of the headstock and it’s on the 12th fret. The quality speaks for itself and I don’t need the logo on the headstock to know I’ve got a nice guitar in my hands. I resell guitars for a fun hobby and the standards are going for the same prices the E-IIs are going for on eBay and Reverb. The resale value is the same which means that plenty of other people have no problem owning an E-II.
I also have the Black Turquoise Burst M2 and it is energized like no other. Bare Knuckle Aftermath. Reverse headstocks are the bomb. 24 frets ease of access the whole way. One of my all time favorite guitars
@@joshbarnes6759 I plan on doing the same, I like sound of the neck somewhat, but the bridge just has way to much high output. I was think some SD's or even some DiMarzio's.
I have the E-II Eclipse BB and a LTD EC-1000. I don’t know if the E-II is almost a $1000 better, but it does feel nicer. They’re both great playing guitars for their respective price points.
I’ve got me an E-II eclipse. Seriously fantastic guitar. People bitch and moan about E-ii being inferior to the old ESP standard series but honestly they are seriously good guitars and great value - I own other more expensive guitars and its as easily as good as any of them.
@@victimology7761 Eii is the rebranded ESP standard series. They are being built at the ESP factory in Japan. The logo /name is not ideal but the quality and sound is there
@@Laponea I hear ya, but I don't wanna pay Porsche money for a 911 with a Skoda badge on it. I may be weird that way, but all of my ESP's are from the 90's and say ESP on them.
@@victimology7761 I totally get it and that rebranded logo put away a lot of existing and future customers. Possibly a stupid thing from ESP but EIIs are ESPs indeed, as ESP builds them in their factory
@@Laponea I just find their marketing totally baffling. Let's build ESP's in the ESP factory and then call them something else. All businesses strive to have that kind of brand recognition, and ESP actively resists it. It's like they don't want to sell guitars. That they already built. The price point is still the same, but without that logo, the resale value tanks. I understand not slapping their logo on absolutely everything (I'm looking at you Jackson and Ibanez) but to make thousands of guitars a year but only have your name on a hundred or two is just bizarre.
If I see someone holding an E-II series guitar ..... I'd be like wooh That's an ESP man!! Won't mind the logo going from ESP to E-II and the guitar also says ESP on the 12th fret too.
I've got that horizon and it's awsome ,I've also got 2 USA ESP ECLIPSES,,Not to sure if the USAs are worth it over the E II because the E II ARE SPOT ON,,,
I mean c'mon Esp, look at that Horizon fretboard, u see it? U do? Well I don't 'cos it's not there! The white binding (which over time turns beige.......) is missing which should be implemented on more models, like that M-II they played with! Just my humble opinion... :D
Which would be your recommendations for playing Metallica,Megadeth,Sabbath, out of a Horizon with 57/66 pickups or m 2 with Bare Knuckles such as the one you played?
I was debating which of the 2 guitars to buy the horizon or the m2 NT but since the dildo comment which is totally true I went for the m2 NT in black turquoise haha thanks for actually pointing that out
ESP was originally a Japanese made guitar . So in my mind the E II line is the actual standard of these guitars. It would be like buying a Gibson from Japan. So buying a USA ESP is sorta a downgrade .🤷
An issue not only on E-II's but a lot of ESP S types is the volume knob is to close to the pickup. The only reason its not an issue for me on my ESP KH2 custom is the neck pu volume is what's closest to PU so I don't care if i hit it. If you're prone to hitting it (and OSD about checking to make sure its al the way up) this will be very annoying. Ive actually put one of those D Addario Lock knobs on my E-II M-II Camo but that's not a great fix for some people. Ironically it seem like all this is not an issue on LTD's, those knobs seem to be further away. In the end, my ESP's are more stable and seem to have better intonation then any other guitars i own they just seem to be great. I put Charvels second, fret sprout and all.
Love anything to do with ESP. Nice to see someone showcaing a few. I especially like the black Eclipse. Good job. Also I've seen the Horizon headstock referred to as the 'cock' headstock on a number of occasions 😀 P.S. I think you forgot to add the date of your ESP event in the description.
For the money of an E-II you can get a second hand standard series WITH the ESP on the headstock with change to spare! Don't understand why they ever made the "ESP" a premium only for the customs and Japanese models.
If i buy a Gibson, i don´t want "T7" on the headstock, if i buy a Fender, i don´t want "P3" on the headstock and if i buy a ESP, i dont want "EII" on the headstock!!! Worst marketing decision ever.
Josh Barnes Every Chinese guitarist knows it...Body, neck and paint are all done in China and they are great to play. Japanese just install pickups for E-II and Edwards lineup.

honestly the esp decal looked ugly, i prefer the eii pearl logo tbh, it looks more sleek and real gearheads will know its a legit esp
I notice my ESP standard has more flame on the neck than the E-IIs i've seen actually (honeyburst Eclipse)
Gorgeous. SO much want. Love ESP guitars, and E-II's are fantastic. ESP is one of the few brands where I love all the models/shapes.
I have the same M-II but the previous model (black turquoise) and love the way it feels.
I also have the Black Turquoise Burst M2 and it is energized like no other. Bare Knuckle Aftermath. Reverse headstocks are the bomb. 24 frets ease of access the whole way. One of my all time favorite guitars
I have it too, but I took the Bare Knuckles out and put in a zebra set of Duncan Custom and Jazz. The BKs were just too mid heavy and throaty for me.

I have an Ibanez in Dragon Eye burst that looks very similar to the finish on the Horizon (though without the gloss). Looks gorgeous.
Have a ESP Kamikaze 1 (Lynch) on order. It takes 6 months to finish and ship. $4000.00+ later I’m stoked to pick up in a few more months. ❤️❤️❤️

Gotta ask, is the ESP Kami everything it’s legend to be? Always wanted one of those and an American Shop Warren DiMartini Snakeskin Charvel.
I have a "Made in Japan" ESP with the script logo on the headstock in Snow White. Much better guitar than I am a player! But an absolute joy to play!
Finally some real ESPs and not LTDs
They're not ESP's tho. They're EII's. :(

The old video about Eclipse was horrible.
Nice one!
Can anyone tell me if there is an issue with the volume knob being too close on this guitar? I’m looking at this one.

This video was way better in 2x speed lmao
Why can't they just use a double inlay on the twelfth fret instead of that fugly block bullshit?

That’s a lovely bit of misinformation. The E-II guitars are made in Tokyo, Japan. Exactly the same as the old ESP Standard series.

OOOOH boy am I fucking sick of hearing those riffs and chords. The talking was fine though.
Why does esp put that stupid esp on the 12th fret? It looks cheesy! I know its your company but come up to with a cool design..
Lol I hated the model numbers on the LTDs and how it just says ESP on the japanese ones, looks really shit
These guitars sound like ass. The player is incredible though. I love my LTD.
