Neuvillette zoom out his seat. 😆 Which is interesting , bc it could be oart of his gameplay. Probably so far the best of Childe scenes in the Genshin storyline if I have to say so myself. Something I just realized is that Childe does sense Neuvilette coming right before, he tries to look back and does a surprise sound, he just didn’t believe someone except the Traveller in that room could match up to him during his transformation.
The reason Neuvillete NEED to attack Childe during transformation is because he IS WEAKED by foul legacy, if Childe succesfully transform, even Neuvillete can't stop him. Yes he can beat Childe, but at what cost, the whole court will be destroyed by the impact. I know a lot of players are hyped for Neuvillete and he is fcking OP, but Tartaglia is not that weak.

I’m reminded of the fact that childe’s vision seems to be malfunctioning, or in other words, not as responsive. In the past, the shogun locked away people’s visions, rendering them useless. Although childe’s case seems like something that happened randomly, could it be that the hydro archon subconsciously deemed him unworthy of his vision somehow?
The Archons don't have any control over who does or doesn't get a visions, but their decisions can likely influence how often their respective element is given out. Instead, interfering with vision usage is far more likely since we've seen Ei do it before and now there are reasons to suspect Furina can do it too

Idk why everyone is clowning on Childe. Childe is in all likelihood stronger than the new guy. But that's not to say he's weak. He made the smart move of knocking Childe out before he became a menace. The guy was made the 12th harbinger at a young age because they know his potential and either want to control him or groom him into power. Even with Childe not even thinking of attacking him, he cut his face.

@@Mamjamshamnot his abyss power per say, it’s stated in the namecard that it’s his combat style that was taught to him by “that solitary girl” who we know is named skirk and iirc during a cutscene it also emphasizes that the martial legacy he inherited has a dangerous secret to it. But another thing I would like to point out is that foul legacy means “demon kings armament” and we know he doesn’t get any armor or appearance changes until he uses his electro delusion(which we see during his weekly boss 2nd and 3rd phase including this cutscene) so if he does have the abyss power it seems to be drawn out by his delusion and we know that neuvillette didn’t decide to sneak attack him until he was about to enter his 3rd form so it’s safe to assume that the 2nd form didn’t have as much or any abyss power compared to the 3rd form which was seen as a threat. The weekly boss mat shard of a foul legacy somewhat supports this too. Although it could be what you said with it being his “transformation”(the base one at least) since he keeps foul legacy without us having access to his delusion. But it seems like his delusion amplifies it a lot as he transforms using it. Edit: forgot to say it’s highly probable that the foul legacy we see him use despite it being mentioned to be a combat technique(not a transformation) is a combination of his vision, the martial arts he learned form skirk and the delusion he has.

If you notice, Childe has no vision and only fights using delision not bestowed by the gods... and him back to Neuvillette was also knocked unconscious before him transformation was finished. If the abbys transformation (3rd transfom is like an Abyys Herald-Lector mix "learn from skirk" but he cant be like abyys herald, he need hydro vision) had taken place, there was a high probability that he would attack Hydro archon and try to take genosis.
Defeated tartaglia with a plunge attack without any transformations or boosts in base form sure tartaglia was not at full power but still, it was a base Neuvillet against a buffed tartaglia compared to his base form and he defeated him with a plunge and a nerfed plunge since the wasn't trying to kill childe just knock him out. My buddy here is strong as hell. Hoping for a rematch in the future with both of them fighting seriously at full power. Maybe then tartaglia will resist the first hit LMAO.

I’m reminded of the fact that childe’s vision seems to be malfunctioning, or in other words, not as responsive. In the past, the shogun locked away people’s visions, rendering them useless. Although childe’s case seems like something that happened randomly, could it be that the hydro archon subconsciously deemed him unworthy of his vision somehow?
The Archons don't have any control over who does or doesn't get a visions, but their decisions can likely influence how often their respective element is given out.
Instead, interfering with vision usage is far more likely since we've seen Ei do it before and now there are reasons to suspect Furina can do it too

The guy was made the 12th harbinger at a young age because they know his potential and either want to control him or groom him into power. But another thing I would like to point out is that foul legacy means “demon kings armament” and we know he doesn’t get any armor or appearance changes until he uses his electro delusion(which we see during his weekly boss 2nd and 3rd phase including this cutscene) so if he does have the abyss power it seems to be drawn out by his delusion and we know that neuvillette didn’t decide to sneak attack him until he was about to enter his 3rd form so it’s safe to assume that the 2nd form didn’t have as much or any abyss power compared to the 3rd form which was seen as a threat. The weekly boss mat shard of a foul legacy somewhat supports this too. Although it could be what you said with it being his “transformation”(the base one at least) since he keeps foul legacy without us having access to his delusion. But it seems like his delusion amplifies it a lot as he transforms using it.
Edit: forgot to say it’s highly probable that the foul legacy we see him use despite it being mentioned to be a combat technique(not a transformation) is a combination of his vision, the martial arts he learned form skirk and the delusion he has.

If you notice, Childe has no vision and only fights using delision not bestowed by the gods... and him back to Neuvillette was also knocked unconscious before him transformation was finished. If the abbys transformation (3rd transfom is like an Abyys Herald-Lector mix "learn from skirk" but he cant be like abyys herald, he need hydro vision) had taken place, there was a high probability that he would attack Hydro archon and try to take genosis.

Defeated tartaglia with a plunge attack without any transformations or boosts in base form sure tartaglia was not at full power but still, it was a base Neuvillet against a buffed tartaglia compared to his base form and he defeated him with a plunge and a nerfed plunge since the wasn't trying to kill childe just knock him out. My buddy here is strong as hell. Hoping for a rematch in the future with both of them fighting seriously at full power. Maybe then tartaglia will resist the first hit LMAO.
