It was bad enough that even my husband could tell it was bad. I went home and tried to style it, but ended up calling the salon to see if there was somebody available who could fix it. As soon as I said “Hi, I was just there for a haircut...” the lady on the phone said “Oh I was hoping you would call. Please come back and let me fix it for you! I was a couple of chairs over and could tell that you weren’t happy with it and that it needed to be fixed.” So I went back and she stayed after close to fix me into a cute A-line cut and I will NEVER let anyone else touch my hair for the rest of my life. If someone is willing to fix another stylist’s mess, you stick with that girl! 🙌🏻

Hey I just wanted to ask why did you stay? Why let her inflict all this to have a bad result that you expected? Gosh what a rough experience I'm sorry for you
I'm not even a nail person, but my grandmother went to cosmetology school for hair and nails, and she always stressed to never cut the cuticle area, it can open and you can get some serious infection.
Haha Sarah you ARE good at story telling, this was so funny 😂😂 I’m sorry you had such a horrible experience but I’m glad your nails look beautiful now! 👌🏻💗
You are being so nice about the situation it could have turned out so bad. So many different infections, oh my goodness. When I was 16 I had the same thing happen but with a pedicure, a nice place, and a nice girl but an awful experience. It hurt so bad! I still haven't gone to a salon to get a pedicure since, I'm 35! I'm sure it's happened alot but it shouldn't. God Bless!
Oh my goodness you poor girl. I’m sorry to hear about your experience,, it’s tough enough that as a Mama your along time is far and few, and to have spent it like that. You are such a good sport
Maybe it comes with age, but girl you need to trust your instincts! I have learnt that the hard way as well. If something doesn't feel right, get the hell out of that situation - whatever the situation is. Sidenote: Hydrogen peroxide works pretty well on nail bed infections so maybe try that if it still not getting better. What a horrible experience. :/ And also, your nails now look fab. :)
omg!! horrifying! I'd like to say I would've ran or not paid, but I bet I would've reacted the same as you. I seriously think you should report this salon though, it doesn't even come close to following regulations by the sounds of it, let alone anything else that could be going on... :/
I’m a nail tech and this is genuinely DISGUSTING. I have definitely accidentally cut a clients cuticle before, but NOTHING like that, nowhere near that bad. Her cleanliness gives me genuine anxiety. Your hands should never hurt after a nail appointment. That’s scary!
As a fellow hairdresser and wannabe nail techI could never condone such sketchy practices but it is good to not soak your fingers before using gel polish. The moisture can prevent the polish from curing correctly.
Sarah, I had to laugh, you crack me up! But jokes aside, ugh, what a crazy story/incident, wow! So sorry, but again, hey it made for a funny story to share with us right?! ;) Praying your finger is better!! Keep the stories coming, you're good at them, and everybody loves a good story! Love ya girl! God Bless.
Oh Sarah!!! I am about to cry for you! I hope you’re okay. Seriously. I went to school for esthetics and I’m so freaked out for you. Run next time, trust your gut!!
I totally agree with you on the fact that if you're doing a service for someone you should look the part or like you know what your doing! How are you supposed to have confidence in someone when they look like they can't take care of theirself??!! I got a fungal infection from the nail girl I was seeing! Made me so mad that I'm in the process of learning to do my own nails! Got all the equipment and everything! Every time I do them I get a little better lol and I KNOW my drill bits and so on are clean!!
PLEASE report this establishment to your local health department. It's their job to keep people safe! Let them intervene and protect any sisters who are just looking for a safe and relaxing manicure♥️
I have a had a similar experience getting acrylics once. I went to an hair and nail academy with my friend to get acrylics just for fun. The place was clean and looked professional but my nail results were horrible. She didn't soak my cuticles before pushing them back also. When she was filing the nails down to the shape I wanted she made me bleed on several of my fingers. My nails were red and swollen for several days after that. The acrylics were stuck to my skin. The nails themselves were thick and not shaped right. The polish job was also horrible. At one point the acrylics were so thick she was trying to use metal nail clippers to trim them which can seriously damage your nail. Even though I was at an academy with students I expected better results.
I get why you didn't leave. I would have done the same thing then went home and cried. I would just not return rather than complain. It's just how I am. I expect the best intentions of everyone so when something goes wrong I'm in shock and don't know how to react so I just go with the flow. I'm glad you're usual salon was able to fix the colour. Hopefully there won't be any permanent damage.
You need to report that the place to the health department!

Sarah, I'd be concerned that this place is a trafficking hub. Like for real this girl could be in danger. I didn't see the place, just heard your description, but it raises some serious trafficking red flags. You can have someone at least check in on it.
Hahahahaha omg I cant believe this!! How terrible yet some what funny. you tell great stories! I’m glad you were able to re do them
Haha Sarah you ARE good at story telling, this was so funny 😂😂 I’m sorry you had such a horrible experience but I’m glad your nails look beautiful now!
God Bless!
Oh wow! I would be worried for more serious infections like hep B... sorry you had to go trough this!
Wow haha!!! Your pink nails are very pretty ❤️ Love story time!
You look stunning in soft pink!!! 💕
As a nail tech, I’m actually dying watching this video...omg I’m so sorry 😭🤢🤮
Omg Thankssss for the laughter! This made my day but I’m also so sorry for this horrible experience 🤭❤️😂
I am just so thankful that you are okay!!
Oh my goodness you poor girl. I’m sorry to hear about your experience,, it’s tough enough that as a Mama your along time is far and few, and to have spent it like that. You are such a good sport
omg!!!where in the world did you find this place
So sorry this happened to you girly! That salon doesn’t need to be in business smh!
Where are your sunnies from?? Love em!!
Blood exposure from dirty instruments can be very dangerous.
Holy crap! I can’t believe you even paid for that!! As a former nail tech, I would have pitched a fit. You’re too sweet.
Thanks for the story time!! So sorry you experienced that!
This story gave me an anxiety attack. Lmao. Noooo. I can feel the bad vibes from that place, just from your story. I'm uncomfortable. 😬
I'm so sorry for your experience.. I can't believe this gal was a licensed & trained nail technician. Thank you for sharing!
As others have already mentioned - PLEASE go see a doctor!
Oh girl!!! That is bad!! Your new color is GORGEOUS, though! Loved story time! Can't wait for your next one!
I can’t believe you ACTUALLY paid for that service!
Okay that nail job looks like a job of a beauty school student that has never painted nails in her life😰😰😰
Where is your shirt from? It is so cute!!! 💜💜
I had a really good upbringing and my mom's the one who sometimes feel like "I want my daughter" 😂
... you didn’t look on yelp or something?
Sarah you're great at telling stories!
😂If I open a door and have to go down dark stairs I'm walking away. The rust is scary too 😭
So glad you got them fixed and hopefully they feel better
First!!💗💗💗. I love your channel so much!
Christina McGinnis what?
I get why you didn't leave. I would have done the same thing then went home and cried. I would just not return rather than complain. It's just how I am. I expect the best intentions of everyone so when something goes wrong I'm in shock and don't know how to react so I just go with the flow. I'm glad you're usual salon was able to fix the colour. Hopefully there won't be any permanent damage.
