Incubus from Silent Hill 1, The Conjurer from Silent Hill 4, and Phantom from Silent Hill: The Arcade are notable exceptions, though they all get a pass due to being the first game and wildly different in game styles, respectively.

Kinda parallels the caring father-daughter relationship that harry and sheryl/heather had contrasting with the vile and heinous Dahlia-Alessa abusive relationship thus i saw incubator as the "demon" of bad parenting
If I remember correctly, it doesn't have a final boss. Spoiler: It's like the 6th sense movie, where the dude didn't knew he was dead. That's the end for Shattered Memories. You find out you are dead and is just your child's imagination. But I finished that game long ago, I may be mistaken.

Only alessa's nightmare isnt that creepy, but it has most dangerous abilities. The longer travis fight it, the stronger it will be.
It may not be the best of the series but Homecoming had the best boss fights and some of the best music, only not as good as SH3
