I do not only love to listen to the music you're playing! But I am also mesmerized by seeing your smile playing the music, it's soothing and makes me so happy to see you actually enjoying it!
Great work.We can tell from your expressions how much you appreciate and lose yourself in the music. It´s a pleasure to hear and watch you play. Kudos.
Stellar. I love this. THIS is what makes me want to learn classical guitar; the look on his face and that happy bounce. Thanks for all you put out, man! What a motivator and a joy to listen to.
This is great. I like how it's in the style of the original and not the newer remake one. Remake one is nice in it's own right, but can't beat the classic.
Man after playing the FF7 remake dlc this hits differently. It's crazy how such an upbeat sounding song can turn into something bittersweet. Love your stuff!
I'm really glad i discoverd you. This cover made me play guitare again ! Do you happen to make some tutoriels ? I've got the tab for this one, but my fingers don't know how to do it :'D
Thanks for being here! I don't make tutorials, but I may do them in the future on Patreon. My advice would be to work on it slowly one measure at a time. Most of the measures, you would hold the bass and chord notes for as long as possible.
Something that has bothered me for YEARS is that this song reminds me (and everyone I play it for) of some other song from our childhood (born 1987) but no one can put their finger on it. I think especially the end motif, when it kind of builds up towards the end, and before it repeats
I saw how you were sitting and thought you had decided to do a flamenco rendition. Maybe it's cuz Paco always sat like that... idk, either way, fantastic job, my friend.
another great arrangement! :D grats on passing 15k subs. btw john, you may want to consider changing your tabs link every month so only active patrons can access the new tabs. For example, I'm no longer actively subscribed to your patreon but i can still access your google drive tabs folder. most patreon guitarists change the link each month or require a password that updates each month, something like that. I usually become people's patron every few months to download their new tabs. I just wanted to let you know in case you weren't aware and want to change it.
The rhythm and tempo are very folksy for sure, but this song has always felt distinctly japanese to me when it comes to the notes and chords chosen. I don't remember enough about notation to really explain why though lol
@@jamesbrooks9321 there's always one lol Yes, square is a japanese company, nomura is a japanese artist. But that is not the question here. What is being asked is, "what is the artistic direction and influence for yuffie's character and background"?

I like how he is in the woods and that's where you first find Yuffie
I love that you're just some dude playing awesome music in the woods.
One of my absolute favorites, I really enjoyed how they got yuffie singing to it in rebirth.
One of the happiest FF songs ever. Awesome job!
@Dale Macarena I hope your doing better now
Things are kind of dark at my house lately….. this song brings a lot of positivity to me. Thanks for your music, john.
Hope your doing good bro
The crashing waves of Nostalgia, thank you so much
This song just makes me smile :)
You bring the best out of my childhood game music. Im speechless. Amazing talent keep up the great work!
1997... sweet memories... thanks dude :)
Anyone playing this tune can't resist the fun it seems to evoke! Great voicings!
This is so great. This wasn't even one of my favorite songs from final fantasy, but this arrangement is just so fun
I do not only love to listen to the music you're playing! But I am also mesmerized by seeing your smile playing the music, it's soothing and makes me so happy to see you actually enjoying it!
Same! My kids love it too. 😄
One of my favorites from that OST. Excellently played here.
ありがとうジョン。この曲はまさに隠れた名曲というイメージの曲です。
The song is a little known masterpiece.
Love this! That percussion element is a nice little addition!
VII just hits so good! What a lovely little Diddy, expertly arranged!
I've always felt that this, farm boy, and parachial town were Uematsu doing a mid-60's Beatles impression
What a joyful location to play this tune!
One of my favourite song in the game!! ❤❤
この頃のゲームミュージックは名曲の宝庫ですねw
Yes, I love it
I'm a simple man - I see FFVII, I smash like ☝️. damn man you brought so much life into this track !! 🔥🔥🔥
Superb!!

why does this not have more views? AMAZING!
Magnifique !
Do you played the games? The passion that you put to the songs its evident. Great version! ♥
I love how he is so into it, Thank you
You are my guitar brother. Keep up the great work!
Man, this just makes me so happy. Thank you!
Why can you play such many songs without a score book!? How incredible!!
I always enjoyed this being titled Descendent of Shinobi when it's such an American folk arrangement.
congratuilations!! just emotioning
You’re amazing for this. Thank you.

Great work dude!
Besides calm, this one brings happiness yay
Dude. Sick.
Beautiful.
Beautiful interprétation, too much souvenirs 💖💖💖
One of the first FF7 pieces I've ever learned on guitar... LOVE IT !!!

Love your covers!
Very beautiful take on that loved FF7 theme
Made my Monday, John. Nicely done.
Juste trop bien ♥
Awesome! So relaxing
This sounds happier than the original. You can tell he put a lot of happy feeling into it. this is good ofc :)
Very well done!
Nice job enjoyed it

Top !

Thanks! Yeah, I like to sit classical or flamenco style. When I'm just hanging, I go back and forth between both.
I think of Yuffie when hearing this song, I want a PS5 so badly now!!
Did you chceck your materia and wallet upon returning from forest? 🤭
Love this! On your tab its says swing where you usually have your tuning. What is that? 😅
Instead of playing normal eighth notes, you want to 'swing' them so that the first eighth is longer and the second shorter. Hope that helps!
@@JohnOethGuitar thanks for the reply! You rock!
👍
hi, can I use this music for my video on final fantasy VII? obviously quoting the author 😍
Fine with me! 👍
@@JohnOethGuitar thank you 🙏

Already did 😉
@@JohnOethGuitar sorry, I think I miss the video 🤣🤣, Thanksss it was really great 👍👍
Please do FF7 Farm Boy please
that was one of the fastest likes ive ever given.

Don’t use the Save Point! Yuffie will steal from you!
I am so, so bored... Bored right out of my brain...
It sounds more folk instead of Japanese considering that Yuffie is depicted as Japanese. I like it regardless though.
The rhythm and tempo are very folksy for sure, but this song has always felt distinctly japanese to me when it comes to the notes and chords chosen. I don't remember enough about notation to really explain why though lol
I always thought Yuffie was depicted as Chinese...my memories have betrayed me lol
@@ouichtan shinobi were japanese. Wutai has that old kyoto feel in FF7 OG. So, I think I am assuming she is japanese based on those things.
they're all japanese

Sometimes I wish I was raised a musician. Instead of being a working class grunt. Monies not everything..
It's never too late to learn :)
this song always makes me hostile for some unexplainable reason............
It just makes me want to run off with someone’s Materia haha.
