The problem with sending modern equipment back in time is that modern equipment couldn't possibly be maintained back then. I spent 11 yrs in the US army (two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan), my older brother is a F-15E pilot and has flown and trained with a lot of British pilots. There are a ton of British pilots that come to the US and train with US pilots. But one thing my brother told me was that the British pilots he talked to were very excited about the F-35's they were flying and getting. While the Tyhoon is a very good multi role fighter, it's radar isn't the best and lets it down in some regards. So going from the Tyhoon to the F-35 is a huge jump in capabilities.

The professional way in which our RAF protect the Uk is why we have not been attacked from the air since WW2. Sure, it’s cost us billions and will continue to do so. Great article
I love how they get more aircraft ready as soon as any are deployed, just in case they need to deploy more. It reminded me of when I accidentally disturbed a bumblebee nest. I didn't realise until I was surrounded by agitated bees, circling me. Then I noticed a mouse hole or similar in the ground, with more bees coming out of it. As soon as I realised I'd accidentally entered their territory, I backed away, and the bees settled down and dispersed. This video was pretty much exactly that same drill.

I remember sitting at the end of the runway at coningsby when suddenly 8 jets took off in about 5 mins. ‘Twas epic
I can only hope that my dream to be sitting in the cockpit of a Eurofighter as the pilot is realised. Whether scrambling to intercept a TOI, or training, I'd bloody love every second of it!
same dude I really want it! :)
@Drew Peacock Target of Interest potentially. I'm not sure where I'd heard TOI from but that's an educated guess now.
Well did u make it bro?
I spent 11 yrs in the US army (two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan), my older brother is a F-15E pilot and has flown and trained with a lot of British pilots. There are a ton of British pilots that come to the US and train with US pilots. But one thing my brother told me was that the British pilots he talked to were very excited about the F-35's they were flying and getting.
While the Tyhoon is a very good multi role fighter, it's radar isn't the best and lets it down in some regards. So going from the Tyhoon to the F-35 is a huge jump in capabilities.
The F35 will replace the Tornado in the RAF. It will complement rather than replace the Typhoon in the RAF in the same way it does the F22 in the USAF
Maybe, but we HAVE Typhoons. How long before we see any F35s?
the newer tranches have upgraded radar dont they?
Luckily the Typhoon FGR4 is now getting a brand new CAPTOR-E Radar to solve this problem.
The typhoon is receiving an upgraded radar.
Each shift lasts 24 hours that must be quite an experience
Its beyond blessed to settle in this beautiful country and to be able to love everything and everyone in it. If anyone messes with her I will be happy to five my life in return.
Respect and admiration to RAF.
My favourite 2 planes are both used in British forces (RAF/Navy) - Eurofighter Typhoon and the Panavia Tornado - beautiful European machines.
@flip inheck the navy has Hawk T1's, Beechcraft king airs and f35B lighting
@flip inheck still they are fixed wing aircraft
Yep love the Tornado such a proven capable multirole aircraft
13:20 "Hold on let me move out your way, I gotta take a dump"
The professional way in which our RAF protect the Uk is why we have not been attacked from the air since WW2. Sure, it’s cost us billions and will continue to do so. I just wish recent (and the present) governments would have increased funding instead of this attitude of barely covering it with very sly financial shavings. Respect to all of these guys.
Such complex and beautiful machinery. God bless every member of the military
Our most advanced and important systems; running on Windows XP.
Dont forget bussiness still get updates for windows xp and support to from microsoft
Windows XP used in the military still gets support from Microsoft, don't worry
3 of these flew over my school and the teacher told us to hide under the tables cus he thought we were getting bombed XD
Your teacher is a fool.
henryvagincourt yep
Moat teachers are damaged. Most also partake in substance abuse. Let's be honest. It's a perfect job for getting off your titts and no one notices the come down.
Jackiechin that never happened did it though

@@asyraafroslan5924 she's a Brit,not.
It's good to know that our number one ally has their act together when it comes to the RAF🛩
Amazingly engineered aircraft with highly talented pilots
I live in Lincolnshire. There are so many RAF bases there.
Roman Williams there is about 2 mate, i live there.
Roman Williams take it your talking pish only 2
Roman Williams lucky bugger haha I would sell my hands and feet to live near one of them!
2? What about RAF Scampton, Waddington, Coningsby, Digby, Donna Nook, and Cranwell. Back in the day there was many many more.
My grandfather was in bomber command, rear gunner of a Handley Page Halifax. Rip gramps
I got goosebumps when the QRA alert sounded xd
Canad and the uk have the best piolts.
Gaming Highlights Germany has good pilots
Canad forces invaded Northern Scotland last week
@OceanBlue they do have an airforce
Pity Canadians can't spell!
This was when Jon Bond didn't know that he was going to be a Red Arrows Pilot
13:33 It is so top secret that we just narrowed down where it’s located 😂
😂😂😂
HAIL BRITANNIA
Dunno if anybody has seen the new red arrows series but the pilot ib thos video is Jon bond, recognised him instantly, he is red 7 this year. Lucky guy
Seems to me this will be the way of things for the foreseeable future. I'm grateful for all the pilots and support personnel who stand guard, US, UK, and all NATO. Yes, NATO is quite valid and necessary, now, as ever.
Interesting to see the UK's version. I live in Switzerland and work on AF base with quick reaction capabilities, where a lot of F-18s are stationed. We get these kinds of alerts every other day.
RAF has the most outstanding pilots always has always will My dad was in the RAF during Ww2
Amazing RAF people that keep us safe. The UK should build up its aircraft and its nuclear weapons. The UK needs the ultimate defence to protect against Russia, China and others!
We have your back. As always.
Arcuate
aryqtv
are f-16s and f-22 keep us safe
+Fredrick Rogers India is kinda neutral to NATO.
+Pube yes yes Putinista.
147 dislikes? Whyyy people?! Such a beautiful and legendary aircraft
Aryaki S they don’t understand what they are watching, they are probably anti armed forces.
147 Russians disliked this video.
Anti-west people. Theres plenty of them in the..West. Don't know how well they have it.
They probably got annoyed of the Air Control Commander's horse teeth.
Probably cause of the clickbait the thumbnail is an f-22.
Amazing, almost wish I perused something like that. Much respect, love my country 🇬🇧
Classic media…. Making a big hype deal of how they don’t want to reveal the pilots’ surnames but leave them printed on the side of the typhoons 🤣🤣🤣
"When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes a duty!!!"
Simple as that
4:31 - That point in the middle left just circling like *huiiiiiiii* xD
Probably a weather plane
I recall the same thing way back in the 1960s, when I was an Air Cadet. Then it was Cold War days with RAF Javelins and Lightnings on watch. The USSR dissolved 30-odd years ago, but some things haven't changed much. Today's Russia still likes to check our defences.
God Bless our greatest ally....England!
*the United Kingdom
Oki
This is the Royal Air Force of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, not just England.
And your from?
That alarm sends shivers down my spine
Our men are just Awesome. 🏴🇬🇧
