Stay warm & healthy. I’m in Az so it’s not a sunny as normal, getting rain in my parts with cold air. I’m sure not as cold where you guys are. I love your recipes. I so recommend tela health/ virtual all appts being that cold. I refuse not to during our winter just cause it rains & most Arizonans don’t know how to drive in the rain.
There is nothing I don't like more than being cold. I live in Denver, Co. and it can get pretty cold. I usually hide. No sub zero temps should ever be allowed. But! Nothing will warm your soul like a nice slow cooked crock pot meal! Good call!
I have always wanted to visit Denver! Besides the airport. It seems lovely from afar and I want to come ski and 4x4 there. We made friends with a couple from Denver and they moved away before we got a chance to visit them. I guess I'll just have to come see you!!! lol Stay warm!
We're finally out of the deep freeze. I finally got my patio door open today and my cat was so happy! I could let her out the front door but she's not smart enough to return to it to get in. She just sits at the patio door and yeowls at us. haha
It's 40C here today! I make a "beef strogonoff" recipe where I substitute the mushrooms with eggplant. It works really well since I can't eat mushrooms. I'm gonna give yours a try with eggplant.
Woooow!! Ladies!!!❤❤❤ That’s 60 degrees in difference from Greece.🇬🇷 I’m from Norway, so know the concept of “plugging in your car”. Although I’ve never experienced more than -25*C though.
Someday, I would like to hear the story about how you ended up living in Greece! I'd love to visit both Greece and Norway some day. I grew up in an area with a large Norwegian population, so I definitely appreciated the baking but was able to avoid the lutefisk! lol
There are recipes for making your own canned cream of soups. I wonder if those would be good in recipes. I used your Red Sauce for homemade pizzas this weekend too. They came out awesome!
The Red Sauce is great for pizza sauce! I've often wondered about using from scratch soups for recipes. Some people will have to do something if they have allergies or something to canned soups. I'm sure it works. It might not be the same but close enough...
I've made cream of mushroom soup for the stroganoff, but it was a bit more liquidy because I didn't manage a "condensed" soup. It worked though. I do miss the convenience of a can of soup (we have flour allergies).
I am a horrible person because all I could think of when you all said it was -40 was " The Rodeo song". Which is pretty much wall-to-wall very, very bad language, but now it's stuck in my head.
Bahahaha! It's been a year or two since I've heard that! I'm off to the rodeo! 🤣🤣 This is Christie by the way. I can guarantee Sharla has never heard that song. Hahaha. Maybe I'll play it for her then next time it gets 40 Below. It's warmed up to -13C and feels rather balmy now. lol
Your cornbread muffins would pair with the chili very well. Also, I have a question for Kristy. Do you add celery when you get your meals home or day of cooking or are you and your family good without celery?
Oh yeah, cornbread of any kind would go well with the chili! Typically, we leave out the celery and I don't bother add it in at the time of cooking. As we've previously established, I (Christie) can't taste the difference between the different colours of bell peppers, and I can assure you I can't tell if chili has celery in it or not. hahaha
Yep! Going in the hot tub at -40 makes for interesting frost halos on our hair. Haha! We don't do that much anymore, but we did when we were young and foolish.
My dil won't eat anything with cream of chicken soup, she hates the little bits of formed chicken. I'm allergic to mushrooms, so we can't eat that either. So yeah, we can't do "cream of soup" recipes.
Blessings from sunny Arizona! Stay warm!
I’m sure you’re enjoying the sun! Thanks for tuning in!

Take it easy!! Hope it warms up for you soon. Thanks for watching!
N. Illinois, USA here and yes, we also have vehicles that use block heaters. We do not have garage and it keeps the vehicles going.
We made it to 25* c today after being in the negatives all last week and over 12 inches of snow. I feel for you girls. Thanks for some great recipes.
Oooh! Nice! Where are you??

I really like that you listen to what users/viewers are saying and create content around that!
I hear ya on the weather, it's been brutal! I'm in Saskatchewan.
Finally it has warmed up today, -8°c.
Thank God!!! 😊

Ladies, I live in Florida and it’s been in the 20’s here!! Highs in the 30’s. I need these!❤
So I hear!! Stay warm and stay safe! Is this going to mess with the orange crops?

Oh I bet that's good! You can use your slow cooker to keep your kitchen cool when it's that hot! I wouldn't want to turn on my oven.
Thank you for the vegetarian/vegan option!
You're so welcome!

Christie, I knew that we would be friends!🤣
@@FreezerMeals101 Christie, I get the feeling that you would be really fun to hang out with.

How well do your meals freeze dry?
We have never freeze dried our meals so I couldn't say. Sorry.
Now! that is way colder than your freezers! Time to freeze some expensive proteins!?😂
Woo hoo
I was in Alaska 10 odd years ago, my hair froze 😆🇦🇺
Yep! Going in the hot tub at -40 makes for interesting frost halos on our hair. Haha! We don't do that much anymore, but we did when we were young and foolish.
Wow your weather is ridiculous. I couldn't do it.
I love that you had a FM101 marathon! (and yes, the weather here is sometimes unbelievable even to us 😂)

How lucky for you then that this video came along! lol Freezer meals can be so much more than casseroles and canned soup concoctions!
