Baltimore's spending board approves MONSE's federal ARPA funding shift

Baltimore City’s spending board approved re-allocating federal COVID-era funding as the city continues to decide how to spend the infusion of cash.
The Board of Estimates is chaired by City Council President Nick Mosby, along with Comptroller Bill Henry, Mayor Brandon Scott and the mayor’s two appointees - Department of Public Works Director and City Solicitor. Wednesday, the board approved a $9.5 million shift in funding away from the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement, moving the money back to the Mayor’s Office of Recovery Programs for future allocation.
