Nice kaayo ang dumaguete ky dghan gwapa like beaches and mountains
Yes,,yes
Dumaguete and the complete parts of Negros Oriental has really its own unique natural flair, lots of waterfalls, beautiful high green mountains, Volcano, hot springs and lots of beaches and resorts to visit. Maybe incluse Canlaon City also in your travel list, also Bacong, Dauin. Maybe you will find your future second home :-) Negros Oriental is full of natural resources and here is not yet so expensive to live then you have closer access to many other Islands like Cebu, Bohol, Siquijor, in Mindanao to visit Dapitan City, Cagayan de oro, Davao etc...
Envious for the people living there such a paradise...I love nature this is my dream to live, so tired living in a chaotic city of Manila..in GODs grace soon I will move to the province somewhere where there is white sand beach .❤
Really is a ridiculously beautiful pkace
Right I can’t wait
@@ThatPhilippinesLife That's probably why many expats love to come to Dumaguete and also credit to Forbes Magazine that put Dumaguete in their list as one of the seventh best places to retire in the world in 2015.
That bridge is like on the movie Indiana Jones, because you are there also.😂😂😂
Mike, you weren't kidding ! what an amazing video ! I've seen Dumaguete videos for over a year, and haven't seen those fabulous places before. I was amazed at the geothermal hillside. That's a huge amount of energy!
Because most of the vloggers of Dumaguete don't go around Dumaguete. They just sit and interview people.
@@wavemaker2077 🧐
💯
This geothermal plant supplies electricity to other islands too, including Iloilo, Cebu to name a few.
Great video. Nice to see what is beyond the city. So many are just doing interviews and the same topics over and over. I like it here as it is an easy place to travel from and lots of nature here. It is nice to get out and explore. I just have be careful and keep track of the kms I put on my scooter so I don't run out of battery.
This place is incredible. Love it. Good stuff Michael that you featured it.
Welcome to our hometown!!! My lola has a house near that place ❤ glad ur enjoying ur stay
Beautiful place
Very nice subdivision.
I have been enjoying the content of your "new" channel
Alex is so good at touring you to places we haven't seen from other vloggers who live in Duma 😊 Manong Alex, we salute you!!!
Alex was such an amazing host/friend I was so lucky he came up to me the first day I was in town and he recognized me from the vlog and been friends every since
Love Ur content so informative
Michael - Sometimes you have to slow down to heal. You need to follow the ice-heat pattern WITH consistency. You KNOW this. You need to wear protective and supportive footwear. Ibprofen to reduce the swelling and help with pain. Keep up on vitamins and your maintenance meds. I am younger than you but not young - lets make sure our health and bodies get the attention deserve.
Nice place , it's very relaxing 😇🙏
Awesome Dumaguete
Cool nature shots even with your busted toe you were out working 💪
That Tierra Alta place is known for holding weddings.
I went to Dumaguete last year and didn't have a clue! Must go back
Explore Valencia are so many hidden gems there. visit also Balinsasayw Lake and apo island.
Hello Michael you take care 👋👋❤️
love the daily content W
Another Dumma area to check out ! 👍
Random Notes =
* What did you call the BEER, Michael?
* Injured Toe should be bandaged. Neosporin, an anti-bacterial / antibiotic ointment, is also recommended. Exposing an open wound to the elements is not wise, esp in the Tropics. imo
* The views from the resort/ park are breath-taking. Stunning!
San Mig? I think that is what I called it. I can't even lightly touch my toe so bandaging would be so painful. It's still too swollen. I can't even wear a sock without it hurting this day
@@ThatPhilippinesLife You are right, short for San Miguel Beer.
Soak it in epsom salt water
Amazing clear video.
By the end of June you will be hitting 40,000 subscribers. Another masterpiece from Mike. Keep it up bro❤
I hope I well see you back in Iloilo city you the reason I when back to Iloilo city to how beautiful the iloilo city is I been gone for a long time my husband and I are first time back to Iloilo city thanks for your channel
I'm back Monday and on for the rest of the month it's festival time
"It has to be ILOILO" 🙂
I love watching your videos. My bf Rick from Arizona is the one who introduced your channel to me. ❤❤❤
Tell Rick he is the man!
Thanks for coming and featuring Dumaguete and its neighborhood.
Of so many vloggers i watched this is the first time ever i've seen this side or part of Dumaguete i mean the Subdivison inside with the breathtaking view overlooking dumaguete ❤❤❤ Thank you Sir this is so informative!! ❤❤❤
Fantastic video....great job!!! I will be checking out Duma in March and put this place on my list. Hope you are feeling better and heal quickly.
Thank you
thanks,,,great vlog sir,,,
Not many people know but above those waterfalls (pulangbato) around 1k there is another amazing waterfall, locals just call it red rock falls. Nice video cheers.
So glad to see your channel growing quickly. You deserve it. Great content!
The places you went are absolutely fantastic! Thanks for sharing them 😊
Wow.❤❤❤
I saw that place in Dimitri West vblog , Russian young guy married to pilipina bought land and build his simple house ,
Interesting video. Loneliness gets you a bit more laid back and creative 😊
Easier when it's just yourself to get up and go for sure
🚌🦶 🏥. You should change your thumbnail to your toenail. FYI, there are multiple geothermal power stations in the vicinity. Unfortunately, Cebu built them and has dibs on the power. Thus, the frequent brownouts in Duma. Lastly, put a dressing over that toe. You're in the tropics and the bacterial load and composition are much greater than you are used to in Canada. It's going to get infected if you are walking around outside in the rain with it exposed
Nice travel vlog... Having been to the Philippines I can appreciate the beauty of the islands.. both the good and the bad. We live not far from Dumaguete but its still a world away for most of the people in the province.
We have been to this place Tierra Alta back in 2019 few months before the pandemic. It has progressed a lot. It's beautiful residential area with zip line for fun.
Beautiful place 👍
Putting that on my list of places to see. Victoria secret bag with ,looks like tools from Canadian Tire. What drone do you use? Keep up the good work! 👍👍👍
I have a DJi Mini 2 but it's been broken for about 2 months, two attempts to repair has failed so will need to save up for another at this point
Nice bicycling up to that area...
That's some real work!
I been lazy last 2 years in Nashville. I'd have to build up to be able to cycle up that hill. The trick to cycling in the Philippines is to leave before daylight, then head back when the Sun is coming out and getting warm. When I cycled to Tanay I timed it to arrive there when Jollibee opened at 6, get breakfast then cycle home. Going to Valencia was my shortest ride and only half is up hill. LOL I'd cycle 35-40 KM. Going North or South along the coast I'd cycle 75-90 KM. Rainy days I'd cycle Behind Airport past all the Sibulan Resorts, often several trips around, then scoot home if raining hard. D Corner Bikeshop is the Best in Dumaguete, but I'd buy a bike in Cebu...@@ThatPhilippinesLife
Nail fungus, what worked for me... I used a pumice stone and ground the nail down paper thin. Then I soaked it in 4/1 water to bleach for 10 min. twice a day for a week. Tree oil a common fungus treatment doesn't work because it can't soak down to the fungus through the nail, but maybe would work after grinding nail thin. I have no idea if I could have soaked my nail less than 2X a day and for a week and it still would have worked. Toenail fungus gets its start by wearing shoes too tight and wearing without socks.
It's painful to even touch my toe so I think the nail will have to wait
@ThatPhilippinesLife. That was what was amazing to me about that lovely nail tech who treated me just once in Philippines. I had been running & fell with my foot going into an uneven pavement & my foot & toes were kinda crushed, pretty bad actually. All swollen top of my foot and my toes. The big toe hurt like the dickens. But amazingly she manipulated my foot & did some stuff with the nail (didn’t remove all the nail, but part; & truthfully I didn’t feel any pain. It was kinda unbelievable to me. I am not stoic. & like I wrote in my first comment about this on the prior video, Michael, here in USA nail techs can’t do anything like that. You have to see a podiatrist or MD or chiropractor.
@@ThatPhilippinesLife try tea tree oil (Vick's Vapo Rub). I wouldn't file it down though.
Ty to Sir Alex for sharing his family history. To me it is like that place that waterfall is a kind of relative of his, too. Like Mama waterfall as instrumental in saving his father’s life. Ad majorem Dei gloriem.
…& May his Uncle RIP.
I’ve been watching your videos since you started in Canada. I’m in Cebu, Mactan Newtown renting a Condo as a way to learn the ropes, so to speak. I also watch a ton of Dumaguete Videos, but none like yours. You’re putting Ideas in my head. The place you visited seems like a nice place to buy property and build a house. Do you know if there’s any house rentals in that area?
I looked online and I didn't see any only lots for sale (prices were really decent for lots) but tomorrow stay tuned for some even better ideas maybe
Beautiful places.
wow ! one of the best videos i have ever seen !
Just became your new subscriber. Hope to see more of your videos. Fr. CA. Sunshine.
Thanks for your unexpected amazing vlog!
Thanks, Mike!
Your videos have improved. Keep it up . Wish you all the best.
I wonder if they have any plans for geothermal there, would be an excellent opportunity for electricity generation.
They do, search for power plants in ph, theres a couple in Negros and Bicol (Irosin) etc.
Correction
Search on "geo thermal plants" then you get the idea.
The ph isn't sitting on their hands. Of course the project has to be viable 😉
Yes, there is a geothermal electrical plant in the area.
The Palinpinon geothermal plant in Valencia had been operating in many decades. It supplies geothermal electricity to other islands e.g., Cebu, Iloilo even part of Luzon. This island is very rich in resources, untapped gold, silica and other minerals…no doubt oil too. Some day they’ll find the black gold.
It’s lovely you featured these places part of the Metro Dumaguete area. There’s more of Dumaguete- where we shop, dine on occasions then back to our serene peaceful private world less than an hour away. Another great vlog Micheal! Hope your toe gets better.
The waterfalls were nice. Would like to see more natural things outside of Duma !! Here is wishing you a speedy recovery on your toe 😊
Next video is coming in less than 40 min you'll see more !
fooking cool, Michael! Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
I was at those hot springs last March. Very relaxing. We also visited the falls you went to. Many Filipinas use this for photo shoots.
16:25 The best thing to do if the nice cold breeze in Valencia gets too cold, is to go to the hot springs, like the Red Rock Hot Springs.. Its great just to lay there and relax. Near the place you were, only a few hundred metres away
I've seen all those places but the beach: where is it? Take care Michael
Next video! And I think you'll be impressed
Now subscribed. 👊🏻
At 13:40 in your video that's the road to the Big Rock Hot Spring. It's not even a 5 minute drive to the hotspring. Restaurant there too, only 100 php to go in. Just past the sulphur steam vents you turn right.
Correct :)
Hopefully you stay in Duma longer and get to meet the local expats. Go to Ground Zero, get interviewed by Mark Thornton at his waterside mansion, walk the boulevard. The hilltop overlook in your video is absolutely amazing. What a find. Regarding your foot, please seek out a podiatrist regarding it as they can X-ray and can get you a soft or hard boot which you may very well need to expedite healing.
Thank you, I spent about 3 nights this week walking the boulevard, been to the coffee shops and bars but my timing isn't always the same I guess. I haven't met a single vlogger in both trips here. Sadly boots in my size is more than difficult, It can take me a long time just to find running shoes and they are too tight for my swollen foot at the moment. Will be back in Iloilo for the festival I can get it closely checked this week!
Good sport
To me it's the full moon 😂. This place is amazing!!
hi sir i am looking at your vido from guyana saturdaynight jan 20 2024 1144pm
Nice!! Hello
Ynah and I went to the lookout restaurant. We really liked Dumagete but I picked Iloilo because I hate trikes
Having taxi and grab car is a big plus!
"It has to be ILOILO" 🙂
Much better than the guy who sits in a chair in an empty home or the other one who sits in a sofa, most of the time. I subscribed. Nice views
I am Carl from Hamilton Ontario. I gave u this info before....not sure if u answered. ..i probably screwed up since i am no techno guy.... I like ur channel....all the Duma channels u r showing some really different stuff...
Ya....ugly toe"lol"
U have 9 left....where did u put that toe anyway"lol"....just Joking......have a good one!!!
I think the pea visited this place. It looked great. I'm totally down for a San Miguel. Alex is great. How long will he be filming with you,?
Almost there keep uploading and visit other islands
So you mentioned quite often that it was quite cool. Am guessing that its the time of year? It seems the elevation you were at is 200-250 meters above sea level, so is it cooler in June or August?
Nice video though, thanks for sharing....Jim
Dimitri is in Pamplona sir
I'd be using steel toed work boots because with a toe like that you're pretty much guaranteed to stub it a few times as it heals.
I would need a size larger than my size and I can't even get shoes my size very often as it is, glad after this trip I have some time at home to let it heal
Reminds me of banff during olypics you can go to sulpher mountain anx there is caves wigh hot spring pools inside cave its so cool
I wish I had an opportunity to go to Banff when I was in Canada but it was very far from Toronto
It's pretty cool there it was a big party there for calgary Olympics 88 , so many jobs get drunk hung over walk to door down get a new job next day, awesome restraunts back there everywhere but now it has changed every fast food chain and and chain restraunts back then there was macdonalds , a&w and Harvey's but if you get a chance definetley beutiful place
You went to one of my favorite spots as Pulangbato Falls is a nice spot to swim and have lunch but be careful of those Sulphur springs very Acidic and Liquid will put holes in your clothes. I like how you now put teaser of next video as this is where i plan on retiring with my girl as she is from Dumaguete Although she lives in Calindagan area as I love Bacong as most expats seem to like Dauin but too congested but we'll see once new airport comes in.
Only 40.more minutes from now the next video is up
hope your tow got better 😊 what is the handheld camera you used in this vlog? looked very good included the sound. best wishes from Norway
Nature, beer,Victoria Secrets and scantly clothed women great day!
Hahahaha. You are right. This could be the best title and in no time he will get the 25k subscriber easy.
A rare day indeed
🫶🫶🫶🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Michael, my goodness what's the price tag to live there?
I didn't meet anyone who knew the prices in that subdivision but I'm sure far more than the rest of the areas. As you'll see by the next video and prior ones to rent here is between 13k to 25k (what I would say are really decent places,)
Pulangbato falls=Red rock falls
Tierra Alta,
High land
The LGUs in Dumaguete should exert more effort to promote their place. There are hardly any tourists there because there are hardly any people who know of those wonderful places. If not for this video, we will not know that there are wonderful places to visit in Dumaguete.
I'm actually surprised I haven't seen more tour guide type things, I'm sure there are some but usually you can't miss them
Beautiful and can you let us know the name of the place
Pulang Baton (means red rock)
@@ThatPhilippinesLife= Michael, I think you mean "PULANG BATO," yes?
@@gg_Javier haha I don't know I had someone local type it 😂
There's a Korean family that lives there in Dumaguete there channel is Hello Philippines collab with them
😅Watch out for cellulitis.
Hopefully you're fine
That's a lucky toe , dont ever get rid of it. That's lucky. 🤣🤣🤣
stick toe in Salt sea water bro lol
do you just use your phone to record or a gopro / mic?
Just go pro hero 10
PULANG BATO means RED ROCK.
pers
quick diagnosis: felon of the toe. if that toe gets progressively more painful it may indicate a closed space infection at the tip of the toe. apart from abx it will need surgical drainage. hopefully just cellulitis that doesn't require drainage but that inflammation seems quite localized at the tip. maybe i am wrong.
Luckily it got progressively better not worse, pain is gone but will likely lose the nail eventually is my guess
@@ThatPhilippinesLife that is good that it is improving .
The "Backside" of Dumaguete.
Did you see the sign ? “clothing optional “You should have put on your own show at the falls 😂😂😂
Wait did it say that??? No way!
@@ThatPhilippinesLife sure did. It said “ No vehicles beyond this point and underneath said clothing is optional 😂
Likely a wedding between some old geezer and a young Filipina lol
Seen this on many vlogs......
That's the crazy part about TH-cam one person is fed maybe 20 regular TH-cam vloggers and another person gets 20.entirely different ones. Hopefully didn't waste too much of your time. next few might show you things you haven't seen as often
This is my first time to see this area on TH-cam... You killed it Michael! 💪👏👏
@@ThatPhilippinesLife Yes, these places look familiar. I think Baby Mae (Old Dog Paul's wife) did a video or two at this place a year or so ago.
How cold is that water can you swim in it if it was warmer outside
Oh yes it would be so refreshing if it was hot outside
You sound like Norm MacDonald!
Fellow Canadian must be the accent
I wonder how much water is in the river after a few days of monsoon rains or a typhoon.
i bet it washes over the roads sometimes
I'm really curious how much those houses are going for in US dollars.
I looked online and found empty lots going for P8k to 10k per sqm I did see one guy saying he has two houses there for sale but no prices
Oh and usd on the land is about $143 per sqm or 10.7sq ft
how did you hurt foot
Git smashed on my arrival to Dumaguete, the big push off the bus of people
@@ThatPhilippinesLife 😢 may that entire toe heal quickly in Jesus name! ❤
