This is the Quartz Casio Duro. A dive style watch with a claimed 200m water resistance and near i destructible build. It’s cheap. It’s tough. And it looks good.
I have the same blue Duro plus a green Duro. I switched both crystals to sapphire and the bracelets to solid stainless steel links with milled clasps, and it’s transformed both into something quite amazing. The beauty of the Duro is that people can use and enjoy them as is or modify them to their liking for not much extra money. Modding them for me has also been a fun learning experience and very satisfying. I’m not sure why Gates wears a Duro, and I don’t really care. I replaced and retired my 25 yr old omega constellation with the Duros, after omega wanted outrageous money to simply change a battery! I’m still way in front financially there. I have the black version and just ordered the pepsi model. The blue looks really good as well. They are good looking watches and seem to be very reliable. That said my day to day watch is my Timex Ironman. Takes a licken and keeps on ticken!
First thing I did with my "Gold" Duro, was to replace the rubber strap with a "Bond" type, NATO strap, where I cut off the extra loop. I've had it for a year. I got it from Amazon for $40 USD.
The main thing they need to change on this watch is the battery, it need to have a CR2032 battery instead of an AG4 battery...... longer lasting illumination would be nice as well, that being said its still a great watch
Totally with you on the lume. Batteries are super easy to change. I got screwed by a watch shop in japan. They wanted like 50 bucks and to wait three weeks. I bought a tool kit from Amazon for 20 bucks and a two dollar battery and I’m set for life lol.
@@Wristwatchmania I use needle nose pliers and put masking tape over the tips so they don't scratch the back to unscrew it, the tips of the pliers obviously have to be small enough to fit the notches though
I have the black version n your 2 right about the not worrying n living your life part... 😁 When I learned about this watch I was amazed n still is at the crazy specs for the value... 😁 The perfect Beater n diver too! 😍 What's more, I got mine preloved witha Bond Nato for only 20 bucks! Lol 😂 🤣 😂

Only down side I found is the batter died in a few months. I guess it had been sitting in a warehouse a long time and the bezel scratches really easily.

Love this watch, I have a green one and a black and blue one. Neither of them are on the standard strap, I didn't find it comfortable.
I have the black one & paid £55 from Amazon- I think it’s fantastic value & great specs / just ordered the blue one
It’s good. My battery lasted 3 months before it died though.
