Drove my T31 X Trail in the Indian Himalayas for a few weeks, driving and camping on the road. Had to cut out the DPF with a bit of help from a local mechanic as it couldn't regenerate and the low oxygen at high altitude wasnt helping. This aside we travelled in real comfort ( great heating / large sun-roof etc) on roads that were rough, with snow/ ice and rocky streams all the way on an amazing adventure. Love the X Trail. Enjoy!
Hey mate love the video I’m from Australia and have a t30 that’s been pretty modified and have to say they are just great cars on and off-road and love how you have modified this it’s a very sleek build.
I have the same xtrail t31 with 215/70/17 all terrain tyres. China special it seams to go every where I point it. I've had all the egr Blanked and deleted same with the dpf . It's done 180thousand miles still going strong
Hi I’m looking to get an Xtrail to take the Mrs / daughter / dog camping and do a bit of off roading. After searching online I see the 2.2 diesels are poor on reliability . Any recommendations? . Budget is about £4K Cheers
They are made for the Patrol (Had them shipped over from Australia) but I think the design was stolen from Ford. This was in Ingram valley... The public can drive there although I would not suggest driving up and down the same track all day long, the place is more a picnic area than an off road play area.
Hey, I’m looking to buy an Xtrail for overland style adventures, including camping on remote sand beaches. I want the same tire size and the lift as yours. Do you think a 2.5L CVT would handle it? Or should I look at Diesel+automatic / 2.0 Petrol + manual? There are many affordable Xtrails with CVT in a good condition on the market. Diesels are more expensive and mostly high mileage. So I can’t make up my mind. Any advice will be appreciated.
If I’m honest, I don’t really know. I don’t see why the tyres would fit any different just because of engine or transmission? I will say tho... These tyres do still rub a little.
@@mattrowers2590 CVT is a no go if you are planning to take it off road. It will fail to deliver the sudden power burst you would need at times to drive over ruts etc.
@@loveknowsnoborder thanks, that’s what I thought. I actually bought a Forester SJ and it handles deep sand nicely even though it’s CVT (but Subaru CVT appeared to be a whole different animal).

I ran Cooper light truck ATR 225/75 on my T30 for 50000 km. Bit of rubbing on hard lock but no drama. I reckon this has put an extra 5000km on the speedometer. Since gone back to street legal with Yokohama Geolander ATR
Hi, I'm so sorry for the late reply. The tyres are BF Goodrich KO2's and they are 225/75/16. The bar is just an A Frame of eBay... Nothing too special.
@@JTactical Hi mate, hope it's ok to contact you. I've just bought a T31 and I'm looking for some off road steels, where did you buy yours from in the UK? Cheers..... Mario
I drive a xtrail just like that. Even same color. I'm by no means a nissan fan or a particular fan of the xtrail but ill admit its quite capable for a soft roader and very reliable.

That sounds like an amazing adventure! It is such a great car, and the best looking of the T30/T31/T32!
2002 t30 xtrail here tough as nails with a good balance of off road capacity with a smooth balance of road driving

Thanks for the comment Isaac. My 1st Nissan was a T30... I loved that too1
I still think this style of x trail is the better looking, especially with a lift and tyres
X trail is brilliant. Great car. Love it.

Need this low slung bull bar on my t31 so I can sit a pair of sentinel lazers on it. Struggling to one anywhere that isn’t chrome.

What size rims and tires on the xtrail?
Nissan Patrol is like Nissan X-Trail's big brother.
It is. 😊 This is why we have started to kit out the X-Trail like this. We call it the Mini Beast. 😆
How much has the x trail been lifted please?
It has a 1.75" pedders lift on it, but I added an extra 30mm strut spacer on the front.
@@JTactical do you have any problem with the pedders?

xtrail rims and tires size???

Hello do you need to modify anything to use tire/rim 225/75 R16 on the xtrail?? Or will it just fit?
It will require a lift at least. We had to cut away some of the inner arch, but that may because we changed the wheel off set to make the track wider!

yes with 2inch lift that size works very well, nothing needs to be cut, same width as original.

I bought mine from tyresdirect.co.uk, but you can also get them from 4x4tyres.co.uk & mytyres.co.uk (I'm sure theres other places too)

Sure thing... I got this one: amzn.to/3eHhf5t
Hi my friend... Did you lift it the t31 and how you did it?
Did you have to buy new wheels to fit the tyres or did the stock x trail wheels fit? If so, where did you buy from?
Sorry for the late reply... I bought new wheels to fit these tyres. I bought them from 4x4tyres.co.uk
@J-Tac would you guys experience any rubbing with those tires? Especially if without the lift?
Sorry for the late reply... Yes, these tires will rub with no lift. (Even with the lift, I had to cut away inner arch!)
Hello super.......The lift kit and the size of tyres of the Xtrail T31????
BFG 225/75R16 set on steel wheels with 00 offset.
The X-Trails lift is a 45mm kit from Pedders and I added extra 30mm strut spacers up front.
howz 2006 nissan xtrail 2.0 disel version??? is it worth buying ??? till now 75k runs ... give me best advice plz
Way back when, I had a 2.2 diesel X-Trail... It was great. I'm sure if it's been looked after, it will still be a great vehicle.
Great 👍
Nice Video!
Is it petrol with CVT or diesel with automatic transmission?
The X-Trail is a manual diesel and the Patrol is an auto diesel.
That patrols got a really nice stance to it mate! What size lift and wheel specs?

T31 CVT or Diesel AT?
The diesels don't run the CVT. They have a conventional 6 speed auto.
What wheels are on the xtrail please
I would say 16x7+20 Sunraysia, or 16x7+18 King Terra, with 235/70r16 AT tyres
