Nissan X Trail Vs Patrol Off Road
มุมมอง 120K4 ปีที่แล้ว
With the new wheels and suspension on the little Nissan X-Trail, we decided to take it on a gentle tour of the countryside. Lots of people ask me about the tyres on the X-Trail, they are BFG 225/75R16 set on steel wheels with 00 offset. The X-Trails lift is a 45mm kit from Pedders and I added extra 30mm strut spacers up front. This is the link for the X-Trail nudge bar: amzn.to/3eHhf5t

Nissan Patrol GU3 - Front & Rear Recovery Bumpers.
Very cool design.
If this is a bag that you want to get trough urban/near urban rural area 20-30km walking distance max to home or "emergency sleepover" at friends flat, then OK. If not and being more seriously emergency oriented: 1) Drop the umbrella - usgi style poncho is enough. Add more energy intake (food). Add isotonic powder, since when starting hiking a lot miles, next day it will be harder to maintain same speed and distance. Add few small candles - even the "tea candles" can surprisingly useful to keep you warm under the poncho, when risk of hypothermia is real. Or help start a fire in really bad weather. 2) Probably drop the trousers as well. You will have something on you already. Second socks always helps. Merino shirt will keep you warm even when wet due perspiration and rain. Perhaps merino long-johns if winter temperatures are a possibility. Real lifesaver. Use the saved weight from both for something that really can keep you warm under the poncho, since you like Helikon, then perhaps hooded Wolfhound with apex padding. Instead of gloves from "warm kit", add gloves that really add some protection for your fingers. Work gloves. You will probably need to do stuff that will do small cuts and bruises unprotected for your hands and the gloves you have on video will not survive long such work. For heat capture, if the work gloves are not warm like the thinsulate one, simply use your spare socks instead and save weight. 3) When you drink you last drop of water, you're done. No water purification tablets which essentially weights nothing. Add them. No metal container and way of starting fire to make safer water by boiling. Use weight for this instead of shampoo and shower gel...baby wipes are ok for obvious cleaning reasons which will happen after taking food 4) medical is really a small boo-boo kit for blisters and perhaps a small cuts. In emergency.. well you may suffer or come across worse. Few compressed gauzes, Israeli bandages and one or two SWAT tourniquet (rubber but strong and more importantly, correct width, which can be used for multiple other purposes - making compression bandage, fixation of broken limbs, better attaching bandages to harder areas like head etc.) - this will go much longer way. Add to medical also bit of petroleum jelly. Helps with the feet to stay OK, which is important, and also helps with starting fire, which is also important. Better than foot powder. 5) Add two ways of starting fire. Lighter is easy to use, ferro-steel rod is hard to destroy. 6) Leatherman MUT, with tools for maintaining and cleaning AR-15 is perhaps too much weight, if you are not wearing the AR-15 as well. Leatherman Signal or Skeletool would be lighter options, in case of Signal, doubling on ferro-steel and whistle. 7) Map of your area and compass for really bad weather would be also helpful, perhaps more than notepad and pen. Using map cover, you have area to write on notes anyway. 8) depending on your law, something for your personal protection would help as well. Probably UK law means no knife, which is one of the basics (and with the multitool one, you cannot button a wood etc.) 9) I find very useful and still enough lightweight small folding saw like bahco laplander. Will do more work than the small blades on your multitool, when it counts. But if you are in UK area with almost nothing to saw with it, well, useless. Since now it seems in UK you will have ban on hexamine tablets, well.. I would perhaps for emergency reasons simply add 50g ultralight gas stove and 200g small gas container. Warm water in a a bottle in armpit also can keep you alive when temperatures are problem. 10) Helikon Racoon is great small bag for this purpose. It is ideal to use the molle on the side for the water and metal container stuff, regardless of if USGI water canteen style or Nalgene style. Safe the interior space for other stuff mentioned above and get to the water more easily. You will also not go wrong if for almost same money you grab a bit bigger Ratel mk II bag. the few liters of space in almost same package creates a big difference in the end. 11) In modern world, without catastrophic event, most of the time you will survive with just your phone being on - call friends, emergency services, maps etc. So add battery pack, ideally which can also work as a heater for obvious reasons. Some solar charger perhaps if you aim for more days and have weight and space for it as well.
What modifications have been done to the x trail please
Is there a reason you chose Green Light Sticks?
Hi. Yeah, I the green (and yellow) are the brightest of the glow sticks. The red and blue ones don’t give off as much light.
You Brits better have currency in your pockets be for the government confiscate your cards as it confiscated your small knifes. You are in deep s…. Are you still free country or are you already a conundrum of slaves?
Need this low slung bull bar on my t31 so I can sit a pair of sentinel lazers on it. Struggling to one anywhere that isn’t chrome.
I have the same xtrail t31 with 215/70/17 all terrain tyres. China special it seams to go every where I point it. I've had all the egr Blanked and deleted same with the dpf . It's done 180thousand miles still going strong
That is an issue with most Radial Arm Saws- that is the base frame. I have a 10" Dewalt Radial Arm Saw from 1958 that I restored. The frame on mine is just a large steel square, so I imagine with each new generation, Dewalt change those frames. There are also several model types. I keep a dado stack on my RAS so I am not constantly changing out the tablesaw blade. Nice shop and great job!
Nice Video!
What size rims and tires on the xtrail?
my mums carolla could do the same
Going to water vs water what a sh it video
Awesome vid! Helped me do the same on my Patrol :)
i am moroccan i looking for where i can find it this pantalon please answer me
I couldn't tell if it worked or not
I klnow this is 5 years old but I will leave this for others before they screw their panels. Wrong screws, not designed for sheet metal. Use fine-threaded screws or better still, drill holes and use Nut-Serts / RivNuts. Never screw metal into metal without a sealant as you will most likely be using different metals that will corode. These plastic moulds are flimsy and should be bonded/sealed with Urethane sealant to body panels for sealing and strength.
Дизельный Х трейл красавчик, владею таким и доволен
Это очень приятная машина для вождения!
Imagine tech screwing your car
Thank you!
I followed the instructions, Then put the firmware onto the card and put it into the 3D printer and turned it on but nothing happens
This is very helpful, however, we're having a couple problems. We're using a 64gb Scan Disk. Will this still work? Once I followed all the steps and reinserted the SD, it said "cannot read disk." Thank you for any insight! @jtactical
Additionally, were we supposed to follow all the steps with the SD card IN...and then take it out...and then put it BACK in at the very end?
Good thinking J Tac, nicely done. I am setting up an old radial arm saw from my father. These ideas are great! THX pw
Territory vs patrol ;)
Territorys are toys off road
I've gotten up more slippery muddy inclines than I could in my locked ranger. AWD in them works alot better than most think.
Enjoyed your presentation. Some great tips. Cheers from Australia😊
PERFECT!!!!!
What a godsend Thank you J-Tac you have just saved me going insane trying to print on the Ender -3 V3 SE. It would appear that Mac users are the forgotten tribe. Any ideas on connecting via a usb-c cable directly from Cura? I think there is an issue between Cura and the silicon Macs. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Same issue last week, I’d say, you can always trust wd40 and a rubber wrench, fixed nicely, threads still work on both sides sunshade and scope, Just a bit of paint off the threads in the sunshade
Thanks! You could write everything down in the description so we could just cut and paste and then insert our device node. That would make it easier.
You are slow
Great video, how do you level the table to tbe saw arbor when the RAS is built into the workbench?
nice and staff but not really satissfying - i was hoping to see real uilding work
Hi the xtrail looks fantastic Any problems after you lifted the xtrail with driveshafts. Thanks
No problems to my knowledge... I don't own the car now, but still see it driving about.
Hey question, you know from compressor to the shocker XL valve, should the tub be 1/2inch air line?
Hello from Croatia , where did you get your intercooler , dawes and needle valve , and oil catch from?
T31 CVT or Diesel AT?
The diesels don't run the CVT. They have a conventional 6 speed auto.
А где бездорожье? Я по таким местам на рыбалку езжу на Ford Focus.
How tall are you?
183cm. (6ft) or 72 Freedom Units.
Where is the offroad part ?😊😊
I’d like to know your preference on blades for the RAS
Thanks great review, I bought a pair of shadow grey love them so purchased another pair Coyote colour and a pair of there Greyman jeans. Absolutely brilliant clothing
Perfect solution well done
love the concept..as i'm currently still building mine i think i'm going to try 3 slots maybe 3/8"...1 about 2" either side of the blade and one right under the blade..really enjoyed the video
Thanks for the comment. I think on my new table I might take this one step further and 3D print removable plates. That way I could experiment with different grid patterns, holes and slots!
Mon viking imow mi 632 fonctionne toujours , Normandie France !
Sorry to bother you again. I tried going back to terminal mode and formatting the card again but I am still seeing an image of a key where I am supposed to enter a password. It will not allow me to type anything in for the password. I thought the sd card may have been in the lock position but it was not. Any ideas:)
Type you Mac password
Having the same issues. Putting in the password, but it saying “operation not permitted” I am definitely putting the password in correctly
Yep, this works. Thanks.
HELP:). I followed your direction but when I get to the password there is a picture of a key. I'm thinking it means the password is locked?.?. Not sure how to unlock:(. This printer was donated to our school so we are not sure on what the password was set to. Thank you for any suggestions:)
Hi Lisa, the password will be the password used to log into your computer, not a password set on the printer. (I hope this helps!)
@@JTactical THANK YOU! I will give it a try when I get to school tomorrow.
Have you come across $hex ?
Dzięki - przekonałeś mnie , biorę 💪💪💪

Hi. Do you stil use the robot? What is your opinion after few years? THX
Hello and Yes! The robot is still in use and continues to make a great job of my lawn. (Looking forward to getting it out of hibernation later this year!)
Would work better for hoover style high speed suction. Probably too restrictive for larger dust extraction
