If we want to attract God's grace, we need to stop complaining and accept both painful and pleasurable situations as a grace of God. How do you plan to develop this attitude? Reply with your comments and inspire everyone.
By quickly remembering that God does everything for our progress in life and spirituality. I would rather think in terms of what is the lesson God is trying to teach me in that hardship and how God expecting from me to respond to it and will deal with the situation accordingly.
When we get opulences , enjoyment and fun in life we do not complain about it but when we get little hardship or rough patch in life then we start complaining to the Lord . The 2 Nd aspect of surrender is that NOT desire against the will of God and accept it as our Karma . Nice analogy by giving examples of Babaji in river and another of Lord Ram too . Thanks Shri Swamiji for the wonderful wisdom . A must watch for all and must read the book too 🙏
Yay! MMC Day #12 in about an hour! Its been such a great MMC journey so far. Watching, re-watching the Playlist has been such a great utilization of time. Contemplation on this amazingly divine knowledge and these MMC Videos is the key that is emphasized throughout these Videos. Looking forward to today's video to learn about "The Best Attitude to Deal with Hardships and Sufferings in Life". We need it for the testing times. Thank You for bringing this MMC series to everyone worldwide.
I am enjoying this journey too. Every video is a complete wisdom to contemplate upon. I loved the way Swamiji taking us from one step to the next through each and every video.
We must accept all circumstances in life as God’s Prasad without complaining. When we encounter hardships we must have faith that God is protecting us and the difficult situations for our own welfare. Thank you Swamiji for teaching us the second aspect of surrender.
Swamiji so beautifully says that we need to fulfill the three conditions for bhakti. These are are to wait for His grace, engage in anukul sankalp, and accept that our past karmas determine the current outcomes. Thank you, Swamiji.
The second aspect of surrender -- not to desire against the will of God. What is not His will? For us to be unmotivated, undevoted, and negative are all things He does not desire. Hence, don't be like that. Such a simple aspect of surrender explained beautifully by Swamiji!
Yes. Really simple. Yet, due to maya's influence, we fail to fathom that. Repetative contemplation of this thought to ourselves again & again can help us develop such mindset
Swamiji explains the best attitude to face problems. Accept whatever you get . Surrender is willingness to.have fairh in God. Swamiji explains it so beautifully with such marvelous stories.
That equipoise and that serenity when we learn to accept what we cannot change is also an act of surrender. We surrender to the will of God. Give me what ever I deserve, please God also give me the strength to bear it.
The story of the travel in the boat by various people and their reaction compared to the ascetic was really remarkable. When others were panicking in the face of danger , this person was calm and collected and in fact was helping God to carry on His desire, first by pouring river water into the boat in the face of impending danger, and then removing water when the danger was out. What a great example of not to desire against the desire of God.
Swamiji beautifully says that challenges in life help us to grow internally and become spiritually stronger. Our perspective toward these difficulties is what matters. If we believe that there is never injustice in God’s court, accepting challenges as a blessing of God will take us a long way. Thank you, Swamiji
Smita, it is such a good point that you make. There is no injustice in the court of God. The circumstances right now are what I am deserving of. I am grateful for the enduring presence of God in heart, mind and soul. I am grateful for my tiny role in the Creation of God.
Smita Mehta perfectly stated. ‘There is no injustice in God’s court’. I find accepting that which we cannot change as the hardest part of surrender. I’m working on it. 🙏
So many people are disturbed by the ongoing pandemic. Depression and anxiety have surged ahead. This video teaches us the importance of acceptance that brings about serenity amid calamity. Humble ourselves to the will of God because there is a hidden spiritual gift in a negative circumstance.
Very powerful video today. The second aspect of surrender is not to complain. How wonderful these gems of wisdom are! Really amazed by the explanation. Thanks Swamiji.
The story of the spider never giving up, story of the statue, all teach us that hard work and patience always pays off. Thanks for all the inspiration Swamiji.
Swamiji has shared an insight on Surrenderness. There is a great plan behind all creation for elevation of the souls. But what is required is complete faith on God n acceptance behind hardships n sufferings.
Swamiji has beautifully explained the best attitude to face problems. Accept whatever you get as Prasad of God. There’s a great plan of God behind every hardship faced by us for elevation of our soul.
A very good point to remember: The moment we think Why did God do this to me, the surrender has collapsed! Must move away from and discard this and similar thoughts strictly.
Allow the Divine sculptor to work on us with faith that He can only help make us perfect. It only becomes harder if we resist. This is so true Swamiji.
We are a living example of the coming generation. Definitely, behind this pandemic situation, some good message is there. We need to believe that. Surrender is only the way to get fulfillment and make our life meaning.
Hopefully so. We have to be patient all the time. Time will pass so also will all the bad time. Time is like a sine wave, where good and bad come one after the other.
Very nicely explained by Swamiji on the 2nd and third points of Surrender. How important to keep our will in accordance with the will of God and at the same time not to will against the will of God. I loved the example given by Swamiji of the Sadhu who was in boat related to this. Later Swamiji explained how importance to see the hardships of our life are the blessings in disguise to move us forward to the higher level. Of course all the situations occur based on our past karmas and need to accepted and bear them as they come across in our life. I loved the story of Frog very much from the pastimes of Lord Ram where he places His bow on a frog. I very much loved the words that frog spoken to Lord to give the strength to bear difficulties. Finally Swamiji explained the story of Marble statue which revealing the results of bearing difficulties which made the marble look beautiful as statue where it was remained in museum forever. Very inspiring examples by Swamiji.
I will repeatedly contemplate on the spiritual knowledge shared by Swamiji and convince my intellect that Surrender to God is the key to divine happiness! God will take care of me in any situations since he knows what is best for me!
Oh God! I am your dry leaf, you are the wind. Take me wherever you want me to be for my spiritual benefit and my happiness! Thank you Swamiji for giving us the instructions and knowledge to help us reach the goal of our lives. #MindManagementChallenge #PerfectYourMind
We rarely complain when things go well so we should not complain when things do not work out for us. All events should be accepted as the grace of God that happen for His pleasure, not ours. Acceptance of events is surrender. Thank you, Swamiji.
How beautiful is the ascetic consciousness. So amazing everything is the Prasad of my eternal father. Tolerance of this pain is necessary for God to facilitate our growth.
There is a beautiful Bhajan which reminds me of this: "Karo Raksha Vipatti Se, Na Aisi Prarthana Meri; Vipad Se Bhay Nahi Pau Prabhu Yah Prarthana Meri
I found the Grandma Grandchild's example of the sweater knitting ,very pointedly illustrative. We see our problems from the grandchild's side as a tangle of threads, but God sees it from the Grandma's side as a beautiful pattern emerging.
Thank you so so much Gurujii 🙏🙏🙏🙏🌹 when I listened it I was just crying joyfully with full of tears in my eyes 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️ thank you GOD 🙏🙏 always be blessed much love and Regards from Kolkata 🌹🙏
i always see painful situations as the opportunity to improve so that i cant repeat that mistake in my future, as i cant understand , what that supreme want by my material mind , he is all knowing, just and fair, but sometimes , when i start saying, why this is happening with me, suddenly all these divine thoughts start coming in my mind
Loved the verse from Bhagvatam explaining how we can become rightful owners of divine love!! Keep waiting for grace optimistically, with body, mind and soul offering respect for God,accept the fruits of your life good or bad with equanimity!!
Beautiful Sher "Tere karm mein kami nahi Tu kareem hai, Kusoor Mera hai jhoota umeedvaar hoon mein" telling us to accept all circumstances as the grace of God.
Swamiji beautifully explains here about the best attitude to deal with hardship and sufferings in life. Life is a series of problem-solving opportunities. The problems we face will either defeat us or develop us - depending on how we respond to them.
I will do my best and will leave the rest to my all mighty guru because i have only the right for work not for the result "karmanyavadhikarste ma fhaleshu kadachana " thank you for the best explanation of surrendering to him
Wonderful lecture. God is only our well wisher, what God has done is good for us. Surrendering to God means we need to accept God's plan without complaint . Thank you Swamiji for this gems of wisdoms.🙏
The Creation has come about to help us transform into betters versions of ourselves! I never could make sense of this creation - no reason or rhyme. A strong and considerable opening statement of #MindManagementChallenge Day12.
Radhey Radhey everyone... yet another powerful lesson to learn here. Whether we become a marble on floor or the most amazing statue in museum is decided by our inner tolerance. The more we learn to tolerate, the more we surrender, the more we acheive.
Great story of Sadhu who kept filling the boat with Water as an act of help to God when the boat is sinking. Swamiji explains complex topics in a simple manner with fun filled anecdotes.
Bhakti becomes the inheritance of that soul that fulfills these 3 things - 1) To keep awaiting God's grace patiently, 2) With body, mind, and words offer your obeisance to God again and again, and 3) Accept the fruits of your past karmas, good or bad, peacefully.
Totally agree. Especially 3). God gives us outcomes according to a combination of our efforts, His grace, and past and/or present karmas. We do not know his 'formula' and should not try to figure it out. We must accept the outcome with equipoise and see how we can improve.
Yes. This patience is best illustrated in that story where Narada returning from Vaikuntha tells a cobbler who had enquired as to when he would get Liberation saying that he would get liberation after as many lives as there are leaves on the tree under which he is sitting.
God is always with we all. God is everywhere its depend on our mind that how our mind think about anything. Believe god be postive think postive and pray to god not to bring anything pray to god that give happiness .
Thank you for this great video! I need to constantly remind myself that any challenge I face is for my benefit. It is an opportunity to learn, grow, and reach my potential. Amazing discussion.
Accept what we cannot change. Not to desire against the will of God. It serves two fold, reduces anxiety and brings divine grace by being part of six steps for surrender. Wonderful Swamiji !
This is important to recognize. If we realize outcome is beyond our control, that will eliminate most of the anxiety that arises from uncertainty of outcome.
Giving our best efforts in everything we do and accept the fruits of the efforts as the will of God is the secret of reducing our stress & anxiety because we live in such a result & success oriented environment .
When good things are happening to us, we never question God as to why he gave us all that but when something bad happens, we are quick to question God. If we believe that God has the best plans for us, it becomes easier to accept.
I love Lord Ram's story with the frog at Pampasur Lake. Such a great example of surrender or sharnagati. Accept hardships as the prasad of God! Cannot thank Swamiji enough for such wonderful wisdom.
To seek Inner Beauty we have to align to Gods will and accept pain and hardship, that Sculptor names God will chisel us into a wonderful human being adorned with great qualities.
If we put forth our best efforts, and even then have failure or suffering, we should know it as the mercy of God for our own spiritual growth! "Everything is the Prasad of my Eternal Father/Mother".
Divine Love is inherent property of God and to receive it we have to meet three condition, namely keep waiting for His Grace, offer your body mind to God and accept good or bad situation without any complain. Thank you Swamiji
We should always have fith in God that what ever he does is for our upliftment. A true devotee never questions Him, but accepts all in stride as His desire.
If we want to attract God's grace, we need to stop complaining and accept both painful and pleasurable situations as a grace of God. How do you plan to develop this attitude? Reply with your comments and inspire everyone.
I will try to develop the habit of no complaining .
I am convinced with the power of habits explained earlier by Swami ji.
By quickly remembering that God does everything for our progress in life and spirituality. I would rather think in terms of what is the lesson God is trying to teach me in that hardship and how God expecting from me to respond to it and will deal with the situation accordingly.
Be patient with hardships we cannot control with understanding that it is part of God's bigger better plan.
1. The hardships that make us better.
2. Our pain and hardships won’t last forever.
3. We are not alone.
By looking at the hand of God in all situations
The second condition of surrender is not to desire against the desire of God. Thank you, Swamiji.
Great
When we get opulences , enjoyment and fun in life we do not complain about it but when we get little hardship or rough patch in life then we start complaining to the Lord . Very true, we never complain when we receive good fortune. We always complain when we receive hardship!
Great
Yes, I loved the example of frog , who just asked for ability to bear the pain . #Perfect mind

Example of Grand mother explaining about her knitting is so appropriate to understand the master plan of God .
Grandma's story once again shows how Swamiji picks a simple story to explain his teachings so that we can understand.
Yes, we can't understand His plan till we get His vision.
@@akaul7431 well said , when we cannot understand his vision best possibility is to surrender

What a beautiful story from Ramayan! Words of supreme wisdom from the Frog!! Great mindset to have everything as a " Prasad" from God
Absolutely loved that episode!
Couldn't agree more. I always love hearing didactics from Ramayan.
Very wise Frog Indeed. These stories are so inspiring yet so easy to remember and the way Pujya Swamiji narrates is unforgettable!

Amazing points for total surrender !! #perfect mind
God is always with we all. God is everywhere its depend on our mind that how our mind think about anything. Believe god be postive think postive and pray to god not to bring anything pray to god that give happiness .
Loved the first two mandates of surrender,2nd one is almost reiterating the first one from a different lens!!
so true, ie to agree & not to disagree to God's will.
Thank You Swamiji 🙏
"faith", "acceptance" are the buzz words, beautiful lecture!!
And humbleness
Thank you so much😊,,
When good things are happening to us, we never question God as to why he gave us all that but when something bad happens, we are quick to question God. If we believe that God has the best plans for us, it becomes easier to accept.
Very true. This attitude will help us maintain equanimity in negative and positive situations.
Absolutely correct. Swamiji gave an example of the frog in this video.
I love Lord Ram's story with the frog at Pampasur Lake. Such a great example of surrender or sharnagati. Accept hardships as the prasad of God! Cannot thank Swamiji enough for such wonderful wisdom.
Very true
To seek Inner Beauty we have to align to Gods will and accept pain and hardship, that Sculptor names God will chisel us into a wonderful human being adorned with great qualities.
So nicely said.
Really loved this parallelism. It brought the point across with ease.
We accept pain and pleasure as prasad from our soul beloved God. Grateful to Swami ji.
If we put forth our best efforts, and even then have failure or suffering, we should know it as the mercy of God for our own spiritual growth! "Everything is the Prasad of my Eternal Father/Mother".
Have faith in divine plan when you face hardships and and feel blessed that these challenges are there so you can grow and rejoice
God has a divine plan for all of us for our own benefit and that is my faith & belief.
Very well said
Divine Love is inherent property of God and to receive it we have to meet three condition, namely keep waiting for His Grace, offer your body mind to God and accept good or bad situation without any complain. Thank you Swamiji
What is Surrender - willingness to have faith in God and also accept what we cannot change because of will of God 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Well said!
We should always have fith in God that what ever he does is for our upliftment. A true devotee never questions Him, but accepts all in stride as His desire.
हे मेरे स्वामि जी आपकी कृपा के बिना शरणागति कदापि सम्भव नहीं है।🙏🙏
Waiting anxiously for mmc next video

This reminds me of a story Swamiji mentioned in other video. Life Isn’t Determined By The Cards You Were Dealt But How You Play Your Hand.
