+Pelican Sport Sorry, didn't want to troll on Martys video but I own a 11.5 stryker sit on top.Is Pelecan ever going to make a cusion seat for the double decker so my butt don't hurt? I'm not as gifted as Marty when it comes to inventing awesome add on projects.

+368engbn You can go to Dicks Sporting Goods or Bass Pro or something like that and get stadium seat cushions. They work well if you need a cheap, quick fix.

+Nestor Nazario Oh wow. Thanks alot.I was looking into a sheet of formable foam. The foam is inexpensive but for some reason costs a fortune to ship through the mail.I never even thought of this product and never seen it at Dicks.I will definitely look into this.

marty, you camera work is better than most professionals. I really wish Animal Planet or Nat Geo would give you a show. Or at least a special. If you could do this on your own, I can only imagine the work of art you could create with a crew under your command. Keep these coming!

I do have to say myself, I am very happy in my decision to buy a kayak. I was inspired by you, along with other you tubers to buy a kayak, and then make things and modify it. Kayaks are cheap, fun, and easy to store and transport. Highly recommend you get one.

Marty, I think its great that you are getting sponsored by Pelican. Your videos are "Top Shelf" and you are a great promoter of Kayak fishing. I can see the day come when you have 80,000 subscribers. I am unable to use a Kayak do to both knees being not what they should. But I have the Pelican 10E with 4hp Tohatsu 4 stroke and 45lb Riptide Minn Kota and I really love the boat and how stable it is. Hopefully Pelican International will come up with a propulsion system like the Hobie has eventually and I think it will increase sales. Keep Paddling and Enjoying the the west coast area where you are. I am over in the Sebastian area across the state and alot of kayakers over here.

Marty as a after thought. One thing I would like to mention to you as food for thought. When your easing through the mangroves and its near impossible to cast your bait do to the close proximity of the over hanging mangroves . Consider learning a technique I use called "Shooting a Jig" for no better description. Its pretty simple. Since your a right hand caster. Take a 1/8-1/4 jighead and shrimp tout or curly tail. Hold the jig head at the knot, load the rod (pulling back like your shooting a bow) point the rod in the proper direction and release the jig and the line at the bail at the same time. Practice it in the yard or off the dock till your proficient. You can shoot a jig 15-20 yds once you get the technique down and fish under all those mangroves and you will be very pleased with the outcome.

So true...I'm a simple man that loves kayak fishing and I have a simple inexpensive kayak. I still get to the same spots that's my buddies get to with their expensive kayaks and catch the same amount of fish or even out fish them. It doesn't matter in what you get there as long as you get there and have fun.

something you said not to long ago has realy stuck with me. the gift from pelican prompted lots of negative post about the hobie. i was going to save up for one. currently i have a 12'6 ascend realy is a nice yak and i still have my first one a ten foot pescadore. both get the job done. You stated in your video what ever kayak gets you on the water is the best kayak. since i heard that it has realy resounded with me because it is so true.now my focus is going to be on learning how to make great you tube videos. have to save up for a good computer and buy some software that supports multi camera. by the way great job incorporating multicam editing in your videos . love em. look forward to many more from you.

excellent video, I would like to add "if there's a will, there's a way." I'm in a wheelchair and while visiting my uncle, I used one of kayaks that's not even designed for fishing at all. but I just took a baggy of tackle and my light action rod and managed just fine. not as convenient as having rod holders, but it can be done. the hardest part was positioning the fish in a way that I could grab it.

I will be moving to Florida very soon, grew up in tarpon springs but will be moving to Bradenton. How is the stability with this craft? I have been looking into a "perception striker 115 angler kayak". Again thanks for being such a great ambassador to this hobby and for being very so incredibly humble. Your a great guy and hope to meet you one day.

Great video Marty! Promoting the sport and encouraging others!!! Question though from an avid fresh water fisherman. What other safety recommendations, such as dragging your feet to avoid Rays, would you give for those like me that have never fished salt water/inland fishing. No recommendations are silly because I've wet a hook once in my life in salt water and that was from a dry boat!
