You must submit a legible copy of your valid travel document which you will use to travel.
If you have a passport, you must provide a copy of;
• the page that shows your birth date and country of origin, and
•any pages with stamps, visas or markings.

This I think ideal when your visa is approved already. However when applying the most important when they evaluate your application is your capacity to make your trip. On how to show that is thru your bank statements which demonstrate the total cost of your intended stay regardless of how you plan your trip. I hope this is helpful. Thank you.

Hi ms libon! Nawala po fb ko so di ko po kayo don mamessage. Aask ko po sana if ano maganda gawin. Passport request na po kase ako and binigyan lang po ako 30 days na para maipasa yun. Kaso nandito po ako ngayon sa canada. So nag email po yun agency namin sa immigration officer if kung pwede sa may na lang tatakan ang passport ko kase sa may po uuwi di kami nakabook na. Pero wala pa po reply ang immigration if pwede almost 2 weeks na po natakbo po yung 30 days. Sa tingin nyo po ano po mas maganda gawin umuwi na po ako agad o intayin ko na lang po ang may? Pero pag may po inintay ko tapos na po yun 30 days na binigay nila para maipasa ko po passport ko.

Hello. You cant upload a folder on your gckey. And the system only accepts word, pdf, jpg etc, you can confirm which formatting are accepted by the system by logging to your IRCC portal/gckey account. Yes, need to scan all the docs.
Each section is designed for you to upload whatever is asked. For example Proof of Funds / Proof of Means - this section requires you to upload anything related to finances.

Hello Mam, thanks for the information. My wife and I are planning to travel this year and started the application on GCKEY portal. For some reason I do not have anything around Financials and Purpose of travel in my list? I do understand that the list is based on what I answered in the questionnaire, but just want to double check if this is normal? TIA
Just adding that I do have a valid USA B1 tourist visa which I can use till 2028. Can this be the reason I dont need to update anything around Financials and Purpose?

Hello thank you for your comment. Once the application is submitted there is no way for us to upload something on the portal.
The other option you can do is email them your additional documents. You may look for the email for canada visa so youll be assisted accordingly. Thank you.

Hello to answer your question regarding your friend's case, I don't think it is necessary but nice to have, if you are going to ask me if it is ground for refusal, my answer would be a no. Still, the decision still depends on her overall eligibility. Thank you.

Hello thank you for leaving a comment. So with visa upload as a proof of travel history right? Is this what you are referring to? You are having hard time how to put them altogether into a 1 file? If I understood it correctly then here's my suggestions:
- You may first capture all of your visas by taking a photo of each.
- After that, place them all into a Word document.
- Convert your Word document into a PDF file.
- Since these are photos, they might be huge files so I highly recommend you compress your newly saved PDF file via the Ilovepdf app. You can search for it on Google. With Ilovepdf app you can compress, merge, split your file. Just try navigating the app and you will appreciate its usefullness especially managing upload on your Canada Visa application.

Yes, no need to book for flight unless approve. All visa applications are like that. Its just presenting to visa officer the total travel cost versus what you have in your bank. Somewhat giving them snapshot that you can actually afford your trip. Thank you.

Technically you dont need to book for a roundtrip ticket, all you need is to present to the visa officer how much would be the estimated cost for your trip to Canada including airfare and accommodation etc. Thank you.

Hi, i’ve been trying to submit IMM 5257 form on the IRCC website but i keep on getting an error
“You have submitted an invalid form. Please complete and validate an electronic version of the application form, save it to yoir compiter, and upload it.
Note: You cannot scan an applicatoon form that has been scanned.
Yoi do not need to sign your application form. You must provide a digital signature once you are ready to transmit your completed application”
been trying without success, my adobe reader and browser are all updated. i manage to download the form successfully despite the error and also validated the form.. any advise?
I'm not too sure exactly what is the error. If you are able to download and validate it then what prevents you from re-uploading it?
Try doing the entire process after clearing cach and deleting browsing history. These are the basic troubleshooting steps that were too helpful in any cases. Hopefully it would work with you.

Lahat po ng forms ko po I never signed them po. Pag online application po no need to print - ensure na may adobe installed ka para ma-manage mo ang pdf. Either you click yon validate po nasa pinaka top to madalas if wala ganitong option for you look for it sa bottom if wala pa rin then maybe hindi na need validate, for signature pag online put your complete name lang and date sa bottom thats it no need for traditional na signature. I did not upload client information(in optional documents section )…but after submitting files…there they are showing a required date but there isnt any option to upload the file… at the mean time they did not ask for additional documents…i have applied for super visa ….now what to do should i wait for their update or is there any options to upload such files?

Hello that is correct, when applying visas, roundtrip ticket is actually not required - the reason why i included those screenshots is to show to the visa officer the estimated amount of my travel costs, it would help them determine if i can really afford my trip to Canada. This is very effective formula based on my experience applying for a visa not only for Canada alone. Hope this helps. Thank you.

Apologies, try reviewing your file and re-upload again, for some reasons I couldn't determine what seems to be the error from your side, this is a form where you need to fill out completely and validate as well. So if you have validated it successfully I dont know what else is the issue. Thank you.

On your gckey there is a specific section for Invitation from anyone in Canada. This will get automatically populated only if when you answers all the question regarding if you know someone in Canada and you answered yes to that question then that section should be available on your gckey. Invitation Letter is just a supporting document, Cover Letter is your write up as to why you should be granted with a visa. Thank you.
If it’s not too much. Can I ask how much u showed in ur bank statement? I know it’s a bit personal but I’m just nervous since I got denied the first time despite having 10k cad in my bank account due to poor documentation. Just making sure the 2nd time I do everything in my power to get it
Apologies but I opt not to disclose. However, rule of thumb based on my experience applying visas is to make sure that you had sufficient document that can back up as to where you acquire the amount you had in your bank. Example, you had 10k cad but its not the amount you can actually get in the last 6 mos or unless you can show them you have been working for more than 5 years so thats why you already have that huge savings. Another factor is the number of days you wish to stay in Canada. Ideally, you should only declare 2 weeks - this is the safest, anything length beyond that is red flag. Thank you I hope this helps.

I am trying to upload all these documents for my grandma, I have 3 different files of her only 3 trips she has ever made outside of her country, which two of them were to Canada, but it only lets me upload one. I dont know if I understood the scenario corrctly, by saying you cant upload are you referring to the upload sections to be just one?
As far as I can recall, all the sections that will be created to each applicant for them to upload their docs are purely based on the questions asked in your gckey.

@@LibonMelangasTV Hi, I was referring to some of the supporting documents they ask like the travel history for instance. I have 3 different files of different trips she has done. The page only lets you upload one by category. The passport one for example, my grandma has two passports and they ask to provide all passports we have and also pages with any stamps or markings. Again, they only let you upload one file per category.
@@camaleon18 For all the sections - yes it is set up that way, you need to manage your files by merging your docs using another application. In my case, I used the ILOVEPDF app in managing my docs. It is a free application for managing PDF docs such as merging, splitting, converting, etc.

You may visit any photo studio just notify them youll use it for Canada Visa application - they are fully aware about sizes and specs. Lastly, request for the soft copy to be sent to your email and upload it to your gckey. Thats what I did. Thank you.

Yes upon submission is processing the payment parang check out sya pag nag online shopping ka ganun. 185 CAD yon akin dati for tourist visa not sure how much for student visa baka same lang. Hello yes for each section/tab don sa GCKEY I uploaded 1 file. Please try to search via google yon app na ILOVEPDF - very efficient in managing PDF's such as merge/convert/split/compress etc. Hope this helps. Thank you.

Hello po thank you sa comment. Ang sa naalala ko sa akin. No need na ng signature e basta type mo lang name mo don sa dulo ng form yata yon and then click on Validate button sa top. Goods na dapat after non. Pero click the Validate button once lang - only pag final na tlaga, kasi yata everytime i validate mo mag generate sya na barcode. Thank you.

Hello, after uploading it won't automatically sent/submitted to IRCC you have to click on the submit button on your application view on your GCKEY profile, and then process payment and submit, this is the last action, once done your application is sent to IRCC. Thank you.
