To put it simply, the difference between PT and OT when it comes to clinical practice is that PT's are more concerned when it comes to the "gross motor" skills of the patient such as standing, walking, climbing stairs etc. On the other hand OT's focuses more on the fine motor skills of the patient this mainly includes any activity that involves the use of the hand and feet.
To those people who have been dreaming of becoming a neurologist and psychiatrist, BS-Psychology is a best premed. 🤗

Para akong nasampal sa katotohanan hahaha lol. Dream course ko ang BioChem (unfortunately di ako tinanggap ni UPM hmmp, ay char) , and I ended up choosing Chem E which I know na magiging mahirap, but I'll try to love it as much as possible. Chem E can be a pre-med naman siguro kaya go go, magiging Inhinyerong Doktor din ako☝️

Hello po doc! New subscriber here and I'm bingewatching over your videos. Grabe po ang helpful😭✊Sa totoo lang po, natatakot ako maging masyadong dreamer kase pakiramdam ko ang taas ng pangarap kong maging surgeon. Natatakot po ako na what if I only have the passion but not the brain. Palagi ko yung iniisip kase hindi po ako confident sa capability ko. I want to enroll either sa UST po or UP-Manila and take Orthopedic Surgery. Kaso, nagdodoubt po ako kung anong mas magandang Pre-Med course. Physical Theraphy po ba para mas makafocus sa skeletal system or nursing po?

I am taking BS Bio in UPC. grabeh ang lawak talaga. Parang ako ay nasa roller coaster ride. Taas at baba. on repeat yung excitement at parang nawawalan ka na ng kaluluwa pero buhay ka pa rin. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Pero hindi ako nagsisisi dahil simula't sapol hindi ko pa alam kung ano ang kukunin ko sa college. Taking BS Bio helps me in getting to know myself 💚💚💚

I am an upcoming college student, and due to the pandemic, wala pong entrance exams ang mga colleges and I just wanna ask po, since i already submitted my application in UP. ang nalagay ko lang po na courses are BS-biology and BS-biochemistry. so I was just wondering if for example po natanggap ako sa UP but yung course na napili ko is di na pedi. so papipiliin pa po ba nila kami ng other course if ever po? definitely nakatulong po ang videos nyo po in helping me find the Pre-Med course na fits for me but ayun nga po, di ko po sya nailagay dun sa application form. Hi! I'm an incoming college and I was interested in osteopathic medicine like Dr. Mike's. I was wondering what similar career path and the premed course for this? Kasi I think walang ganyan sa pinas
sa mga gusto mag neurologist try nyo rin BSRespiratory Therapy maka encounter kayo ng mga pasyenteng brain dead, may ICP monitor, mag apnea test, maka encounter din ng Myasthenia Gravis at Guillain Barre at kung pano settings sa ventilator para ma achieve mo yung alkalosis para ma prevent yung increase sa Intra cranial pressure without causing Barotrauma sa mga Cerebro Vascular Accident. pang neuro talaga yan.

Hello Nicole! I will be elaborating more on Nursing and Med Tech in the next Parts of our Vlog. For now, I think it would be wise to consider which of the 2 fields will you be happy to work in if you end up not pursuing medicine. Habang sinasagot ang tanong na iyan, mas mabubusisi mo kung ano ba ang love mo at not so love in each of the 2 fields. :) Keep me updated on your med journey Nicole. God bless you! :)

Thank you for this wonderful content doc! incoming freshman po ako this school year and same thoughts about pursuing bs bio. Torn in between pursuing bs bio and bs nursing (for pre med) since sobrang curious 'kong tao that's why gusto 'kong ipursue ang bs bio pero gusto ko rin ipush through ang pagnunursing (incase na hindi na kayaning tumuloy sa med school) may downfall sa work. But I think I'll go with bs nursing since atat akong magbigay med services sa mga kababayan ko. Respiratory Therapy madalas ka makaencounter ng CVA patient tapos mag order yung doctor ng brain injury protocol after ng intubation at CT brain alam mo na pH at pco2 na target mo at aware ka rin sa ICP monitoring. Madalas ka din maka encounter ng Myasthenia at Guillain Barre patient at weaning
