I've been waiting for this to pop up on your channel! 🙂 I have to admit that the car exceeded my expectations when Matt brought it over to Wales. Whilst I've never been a massive TT fan I did enjoy the brief ride in this - cheers!
Hope it was worth the wait 😬 I certainly love the look more than the drive, can’t help but feel a more special version of the V6 engine would be more suited to a special edition TT 🤔 hope your recovered now and enjoying the Welsh roads again 👍
@@stoneautomotive Yeah, I agree mate - but still a pretty cool car, especially when they first arrived on the scene. It may not be the ultimate in driving dynamics but it didn't let itself down in Wales. 🙂 Talking of Wales, I'm hoping to get back behind the wheel soon and to enjoy a few more drives before the weather turns. Again, I'm so sorry to be the one to make everyone aware. Dave hurt my heart. This is such a great helping hand community. It's why I bought my TT (we're waiting on one more part, left out of the exhaust kit) and I'll be on my way home, stop in Winslow to get a pix by the flatbed Ford and certainly with a big grin on my face. 70 and 80 F all the way.
The MkI TT is a cracking bit of design inside and out. They looked incredible when the first came out. These are pretty cool for the rarity if nothing else. The engine is effective rather than emotive and the handling sounds typical Audi to an extent.
I still think they look great now, certainly becoming a rare sight 😎 Exactly that, does what it says on the tin but sadly no thrills.. can’t help but feel a more special variant of the V6 engine in the Quattro sport would have been more of a drivers car
@@stoneautomotive they’re great looking things and getting rare now. I guess the shitters are getting crushed now they’re not worth much or broken for parts. The V6 would have been a bit more interesting.
This was the holy grail for us TT owners back in the days, lighter, more hp, black roof, the rims, the Recaro seats, truly a unique version. Had the 225hp one, loved it for what it was. The line still looks modern, great designs never age.
Armrest update Fair warning. Dave from Kirbyprintedcreations has said the following on October 30, 2022. Is it Halloween there too ? “Dear p-1070, If you don’t like it you have to send it back kirkbyprintedcreations” To do so will cost about $25. I can’t figure out why Dave would want it back other than he knows the quality of what he’s selling particularly to someone in the States, as they would have the same reaction as I. So, Dave gets the sale, I get an out of the chute, failed product. It broke in half before it was ever used because the plastic walls are too thin. Just simply poor engineering. Great design as well as being about the only arm rest offering available. Regretfully, engineering and manufacturing is amateurish, unacceptable. I’ll be happy to send pix to anyone.

💯 agree with the feedback comment. Steering is very numb. It does feel special when you sit in there.. and its a nice punchy engine.

Could the lack of feel be due to the heavy steering and the weight of the car( I own the 225)
Really not sure, I think it was the engine more than anything (I’m really a naturally aspirated fan boy at heart)
