Thank you Tatiana for your recipes. My husband is from Tbilisi and we moved from new york city to a town where there is no Georgian restaurants, so cooking at home is very important for us. Every recipe I make from your channel he loves very much. I am making a goal to cook every one this year! didi madloba :D
This comment is not about this particular video but I see that you are passionate about Georgian food so I wanted to ask you a question about another possibly-Georgian food. I have once eaten a corn dish which only contains corn grains. When I asked they told me they prepared the dish with ash. So each corn grain’s shell is half removed and they got bigger. It was of course very delicious. Do you know such a dish from Georgian cuisine? It is not possible to find it online. Maybe a very nish dish
@@GeorgianCuisineatTamadasTable Thank you for your reply. this dish is made by a Georgian woman so I assumed it is a Georgian dish but today I learned that it was a dish called ''Corn Nixtamalization with wood ash''. I am not sure how this old woman learned about it or if such a dish has a place in Georgian cuisine.

Thanks my friend😊

The description doesn’t remind me of any Georgian corn dish, maybe from other cuisine

It is called ''sirsvali'' by the way, maybe that makes sense.
😍
Gamarjoba.
Do I see right that there is no yeast or dough starter?
Is this sour cream necesary?
Can I substitute vanilla with lemon/orange?
No yeast or baking powder you are right. You can substitute vanilla but not with too much lemon orange as they will overwhelm the walnuts
Dear Tamada! What kind of vanilla should I use? Paste, powder or other?
Drops, vanilla sugar
@@GeorgianCuisineatTamadasTable Thanks!
