    I got peeling with the BIAB, I now realize I didn’t use the base coat because I was using clear. Still with the coloured ones, I find it odd because I’m an acrylic tech and can’t seem to see anyone using primer. Which is thought it needed. My nails didn’t last if I didn’t use a primer for builder gel with it when I did it again. Should I use the base coat instead?

      Hi! You don't need to use a primer with this product, I think it can even cause lifting with this brand. You only need to clean the nail well with pure acetone and then apply the BIAB.
      The basecoat is not necessary with the coloured ones, only with the clear and white. You can use it under the coloured BIAB's if you want. I find that it can help to have the product last longer, especially if you have weak nails. If you don't want to use a basecoat, you can also apply a thin layer of BIAB and cure that before you build the nail. ☺

    Do you use the lamp in between the thin layer and the dot?

    • @femdoesnails
      @femdoesnails  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, I don't! Not curing it makes it easier to spread out the dot 😊

      @@femdoesnails Thank u. Does it matter if i use a random lamp. It had just 1 option, always the same heat.

      @@Lou289 Just saw that I forgot to answer, sorry! The lamp needs to be powerful enough (48W). Ideally you go for the lamp sold by the brand you are using. The lamp by TheGelBottle is however made in collaboration SUNUV, a brand sold on Amazon. The lamp I use is also one by SUNUV and has similar (the same) specifications as the one by TheGelBottle. Been using it for three years and never had any issues even though it is half the price. I know nail artists who also use other ones than the one by TheGelBottle, even on their clients, and never have issues. So I do not think that you need to buy the most expensive one or the one by TheGelBottle, just be mindful of the specifications and be aware that not using a good lamp can potentially cause issues ☺

    I have the problem that my Biab will lift at the cuticles and the sides. How can I fix this?

    • @femdoesnails
      @femdoesnails  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! This is probably because there is some dead skin left on the nail plate. Be very thorough with your manicure. Go in with a buffer along the side walls and cuticle to make sure every bit of skin and natural shine is gone. Then use acetone to scrub the nail, again be very thorough. After the nail is completely clean, make sure you do not touch it before applying the product. Hope this helps! 😊

    Do you put your fingers under the lamp after applying the base coat?

    • @femdoesnails
      @femdoesnails  ปีที่แล้ว

    does the product (biab) keep it´s concistancy or does it get runny the longer you work with it in a warm room? because i need time to perfect and correct when i apply biab. but i find that other brands warm up and tend to spill over the edges of my nails when i take to long. even if i take a little amount 😔

    • @femdoesnails
      @femdoesnails  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does get runny in a warm room and similar to what you mention it can run into the edges so you indeed have to work very fast.
      I try, when I spread the product, to not go too close to the sidewalls immediatly as the product will run there anyway, I then use my fine liner brush to apply it there. I also read somewhere that curing the wetting layer can help with the product spilling! 😊

      @@abigailphilips825 not necessarily though 😊 you can choose between a 60 sec or 99 sec cure, depends on how sensitive you are to heat spikes. I also know a lot of people that use a different lamp without any problems ☺️
