A pouty cat boy is easily among the best ways to make my day better! You did great with his initial hesitance and the way it melded with his needy for some pets and physical affection! His draw towards the listener's character was so sweet, too - you made the growing relationship between them such a delightful experience! Especially when it came to the actual pets and scritches lol - it was adorable! Thank you for this stellar audio, it so much fun to listen to!

Static did a great job! I've never seen their scripts before this was the first one and I fell in love.
Headcanon: the movie night visitors are Golden Retriever Pingly and his human, and would therefore have no issues with Cat Pingly needing pets the whole time.
Really, though, I need Mr Pingly as human versions of other pets, too. Naga Pingly, Rabbit Pingly, even Parrot Pingly or Turtle Pingly.
Or at least a part 2 where pets graduate to cuddles. Maybe in a sunny spot?

It's actually canon in the Pinglyverse that Pingly is indeed a tuxedo cat! So he would most definitely be a tuxedo Neko as well.

“Well I- I need you to uhm… pet me.”
I took a double take. *_“What?”_* I asked, before he scrambled to answer, realizing how it sounded. His plaintive cries at my window had been cute enough, and seeing his back peddling, made him even cuter- but he did need to calm down.
“It’s actually pretty important for my health too, ya know? like- how hugs are good for your health?” Gosh why was he so cute-
As he explained, and tried to convince me to pet him (which- I was already pretty set, I was gonna help him- he was too adorable not to- and he really did seem earnest.)
And he didn’t have someone to pay attention to him? Gosh though- the fact that he trusted me enough to come to me- and that he thought so highly of- cute?? He thinks *_IM_* cute?
“Eh- hey! You’re teasing me again!” I felt bad about it but I couldn’t stop giggling- he was just too cute!! But then, as he turned away in embarrassment he mumbled, “I don’t even know why I thought this was a good idea… shouldn’t have even tried to ask-“ he looked like he was about to go so I quick grabbed his sleeve, it was my turn now to calm down and explain.
“I’m not making fun of you.” I said, but I didn’t blame him for doubting that, I had been laughing after all.
“Yes I’m sure, I would like to pet you.”
As the petting began, he somehow got even cuter than before, leaning into my hand, looking like he was liable to purr any second- and his protests that he wasn’t cute did him NO favors- he wasn’t getting out of the cute allegations, any time soon.~
Poor guy really seemed to have needed it too, and I was happy to oblige. Aaaand then my friends knocked on the door. Though he wasn’t comfortable staying for movie night, (he did give a very logical reason actually-) I was encouraged by his saying we should do this again. I was very much agreeable to that.
His thanks and calling me cute again and complimenting my smile- gosh- cute didn’t *_beGIN_* to cover it anymore- he was abso-freaking-lutely adorable- I waved goodbye to him, watching him nimbly climb out and down, before the knock at the door came again, and I turned with a jolt. With one last look to the window, I went to the door and let my friends in.
_’you’d better come back tomorrow mister’_ I thought to myself with a smile.
