What is the point of Liz Truss ? Seriously, what is the point. Answers on a postcard. The woman is ridiculous.
Is she that ridiculous? Her policy ideas are basically mainstream conservative ideas nowadays.
The point of Lizz Truss was to obey her masters and empty the coffers as much as poss, so the incoming Labour Government will have less to spend on public services, as they knew they were already doomed electorally (you don't seriously think she was able to think it through, do you, lol)...Simples...>>>what she IS...
@@felixarbable Exactly and that's the problem. Anyway they are not policies its all just meaningless soundbytes, utter nonsense.Any working man who votes Tory is engaging in an act of self harm,
@@felixarbable Yep - utterly ridiculous (just like mainstream Tory "policies")
She promotes the British Lettuce Board around the world
No. Truss is not secretly working for Labour. She is not capable of workig for anyone except her own ego.
She works for think tanks like the iea.
Her ego is writing cheques that the British economy can't cash 😎 Ooof I've waited years for that joke to make sense.
Honestly I feel somewhat sorry for the Queen, she started with Churchill and ended with A lettuce, imagine watching the country you survived A War for develop into this situation whilst being the only person who both can and cannot fix it
Good watching. As a Yank, it was nice to have a break from the acrimony and doublethink of our politicians and pundits and listen to clever and cogent debate about power and elections in a country where the public good is front and center. I cannot tell whether or not I am being sarcastic.
As if we don't know that Truss is working for the IEA...
She’s a kamikaze pilot of politics . Problem is she doesn’t crash into the enemy but her own . 😂😂😂
The tories have had their day. The sooner the election is called and held the better
"Is Liz Truss secretly working for Labour?"
It certainly would explain a lot.
Like what?
Lettuce
Good of Daniel Finkelstein to spend so much of the first few minutes explaining why this wouldn't be worth watching.
That title is just clickbait!😤 Truss is barely mentioned.
Very disappointed in the audio quality in this, lots of multi-mic overlap, poor level for an audience member.
Matt is such a lightweight.
Is the 6 week PM earning payments of ex-Prime Ministers?
Please leave us alone.
Whether intentional or not Truss is an election asset for the Labour party.
Why isn't this video titled as a How to win an election? It just looks like a normal Times Radio clip
It's like when you have one of those arguments on the internet where someone says black is white and spends the next three weeks trying to prove it even though they realised ten seconds after they wrote it that what they said was dumb. I did think she was now in the pockets of big business, but they don't seem to like her much themselves. Instead, her new set seems to be the post-truth disruptors trying to convince everyone - for reasons best known to themselves - that nothing is real, and Truss is the perfect recruit given she's the one true believer in the cause.
8 May 1945 - Victory in Europe Day (VE DAY) - is a day etched in the memory of everyone who witnessed it. After nearly six years of war Germany officially surrendered on 7 May 1945
Was Liz Truss responsible for the sound quality of this event? Unwatchable.
I think she is working for herself. It explains everything.
Yes and the Liberals and the Greens and Reform and just about anyone who isn't a Tory.
I cant even remember liz truss was pm. 😂
Ha Ha, how desperate are the torys, to lead you by the nose.
Great content- poor audio
I'm not too sure if Truss is working for Labour, but Susan Hall certainly is.
I hope not ffs
36 mins in andrea jenkyns it wasgiving the finger as she left Downing Street
Not the vign
I suppose, she(Liz Truss) had done a great job for Conservative party during her time as prime minister & as members party, I guess she is like to do the same for labour party.
Ya reckon??
No she is just a annoying child.
The comments about Andy Street seem rather ironic 24 hours later :p
Yes and it transpired Richard Parker had won despite the Muslim vote collapse and Andy Street's personal popularity.
Truss hasn't the brains to even work for The Times.
Car Crash Cope is good to watch.
Her father was a Labour supporter, who disowned her at university when she got into trouble.... (drugs?)
Is she still addicted🫨
@@countycod123 She definitely is... look at the reports and images of her face when she gets under stress.
BS. Thats just an advertising gimmick. When will you people ever learn?

29:00 “Who could have foreseen that the Israeli government would hamper the supply of aid…”
I’m afraid pretty much everyone with a🎉 cursory knowledge knowledge of the region foresaw something along those lines, Peter. Both the long running trampling of Palestinian rights and territory and the character and observable behaviour of Netanyahu spoke to a likelihood that the Israeli government would punish Palestinian citizens for the horrific and barbaric Hamas terrorist attack on Israelis on October 7th.
That’s why Starmer’s line in that LBC interview caused so much upset. It’s also why “doing what is right” really isn’t such a simple question. Was it right to adjust and align Labour’s position with the UK and US governments or would it have been right to take a more supportive position of the rights of Palestinian citizens from the outset.

The Tory didn’t say I blame the electorate for losing
labour said it ,as labour lost votes to Galloway and mansleson knows it
and it was labour not tories Who said we’d have won. If it wasn’t for Hamas causing It
to not get Muslim
Votes go reform
A few corrections for your 6 line, no punctuation comment. It was neither labour or Tories who said that Gazza cost them votes. It was journalists asking members of both parties, parties responded saying it was a factor among many others. Both parties tried to point to more factors in interviews with channel 4, BBC, etc however everyone seem to ignore that bit. Not a Brit, so have no skin in the game.
@@plebius so it wasn;'t a tory which is what mandleson said
another light -hearted and informative episode, up here ALBA .
Why, despite all wearing mics, does it sound as if they're all in an echo chamber?
The cause is probably one of two reasons:
The mics are plugged into the building's sound system whilst the camera is relying on its own mics. So we're just hearing it how the audience in the room is hearing it.
Maybe they shoved a mic in front of a speaker grill to get a clearer pick-up but that's about it.
Or, they have got a feed from the sound system going into the camera, but the camera is also recording via its onboard mic and the editor has forgotten (or doesn't know how) to scrub the onboard mic audio. The result is a mix down with a washed out echoey mess like this.
@@CountScarlioni Proly the first theory.
Oh I see what you did there … tres drole 😂

peter Mandelson - slime personified
Secretly trying to introduce The Euro more like. (She is not my sister, who is secretly working in London).
Her husband was a rich man but lost all his money when arrested for ringing cars.
😂😂😂 yes
Mandelson getting a round of applause and cheering... 🤢🤢
Why is this guy here at all?! “I predicted these results beforehand and by the way, these elections mean nothing.” Pick someone who has something to contribute.
Please cover your mouth. It is very scary.
Is Times Radio working for Labour? Of course. There are so many questions which any journalist doing minimum due diligence would be asking Labour and Sir Keir. Times Radio is determined to get Labour elected at all costs, so they won’t ask any of them.
The worst thing is, if they raised their game to the bare journalistic minimum, their work might lead to a better Labour government. A Labour front bench which has had to face these legitimate questions would actually be a better Labour front bench.
Radio Times are working for The Feds. The same as every other TV show in the entire world. Havn't you sussed that yet?
