We attended Mass in a foreign country in a foreign language and received the Eucharist in the universal language of God’s love for us! ❤ Happy Easter!!!
Thank you thank you Father Mike. In May I will be 87 years old, and this is the Homily I've been waiting for all my life. The way you explain things, makes me understand and appreciate my existence in this world. Thank you very much. I have to add that if it was not for the pandemic I would not have found you. Everything has a reason!
Science tells us that the universe began 5.7 billion years ago. Like anything that had a beginning, the universe did not create itself. There cannot be an unending sequence of creation and created things, unless there is an uncaused cause behind it all. God is that invisible uncaused cause. Creation itself, indeed your very own personal existence, is incontrovertible proof that GOD exists.

Thank you Fr. Mike for a beautiful Mass and a stimulating Gospel that makes one realize their purpose on this earth from God and his compassion and gentle touch always. You are truly an Apostle of Jesus. ❤😅🙏🏻
When Mass was canceled, I was so grieved. I longed for the Eucharist. If you are not back to the Catholic Church, come back home. Receive your Lord and Savior--Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. You are missed. I am praying for you. Christ is Risen!
Mass being cancelled was the best thing for me because it allowed me to view the mass celebrated from different churches and get more in-depth with my catholic faith. A few years before that, I knew the importance of the mass and that I needed to have a relationship with the Lord but the Protestant non-denominational services were causing an itch in me that I was thinking of attending some and maybe even jumping aboard but the mass cancellation made me realize the beauty and truth of Catholicism

I remember thinking "They are removing the sacred for entertainment." I also remember thinking "All I want is the Eucharist." “I hunger for the bread of God, the flesh of Jesus Christ…; I long to drink of His blood, the gift of unending love.” - Ignatius of Antioch
I wasn’t going to mass when it was canceled but due to Covid I started watching mass with you and now I’m going to mass again but still watching your mass because I like both.
I was welcomed into the Catholic Church 3 years ago and I am now 71. I can see the thread running through and leading up to my conversion and I pray that you will too, God willing.

I crave peace, have worked two jobs for past 5 yrs to sustain my home as a single mother….the news is depressing, the world is in upset regarding politics, war…..hate.. some may say my life is boring but I am happy, I go hiking, look after friends, family, feed those in need, try to donate time, money when I can. I am a fall away catholic, mainly due to work, I haven’t attended mass for a long time, but you, Fr. Mike and hallow have helped guide me back to my faith and love of Jesus. For that I am so grateful, it has filled my soul with hope and guided me back to daily prayer (and mean it). God help us all.

During Desert Storm I was in 5 locations and the mass was always available. When I arrived in Al Masirah in Oman the priest had a mass kit that only had the Sunday masses so he celebrated the Sunday liturgy 7 days a week. I had a daily missal which I gave him and he cried he was so happy. In Riyadh the priest had to travel to different locations and had to celebrate the Sunday liturgy. I tagged along and heard the same readings and homily daily. It was so special celebrating the Eucharist in a place so close to where Jesus walked, in the midst of war. It's difficult for me to understand how a Catholic, especially with a family, could dispense with Sunday mass because of a vacation. I thank God for his grace and love in my heart for his priests and his mass.
Thank you Father Mike for another great homily. Yes, in my life, Jesus and the Eucharist are essential, always have been, always will be. I ask you Jesus to help me continue to be strong in my faith, for without it, I would be lost and my life would be empty. Happy Easter to you and all at Ascension and all listening today.
Going to weekday Mass has been life-changing, I'm able to get there everyday except Tues. The ways of the world seem foolish and trivial in light of Eternity and I never fully grasped that until I invested more time going to daily Mass and receiving Jesus in the Eucharist. Thanks, Fr Mike, yes this is so true. When we are confronted with the history of such evil, we then are faced with ourselves. How would we handle life in a concentration camp. It's hard for our minds to comprehend. God Bless. Claire.
There was a time in my life where I treated Mass and Jesus as an accessory. I would be relieved if something came up where we would not have to go to Mass… once Jesus brought me back to him last year, I have become enthralled with him… i thirst for wisdom and knowledge daily… i speak more and more to him every day, working with him to become what he wants me to be, listening for the Holy Spirit to guide me… The best parts of my day are when we talk and I learn… I am so grateful each week for our Mass time and everyday for the ever growing relationship we continue to build! 🙏🙏🙏

Fr. Mike, I continue to have difficulty with understanding why during Covid, at a time when we needed God in our lives more than ever, the church was closed. What was open were package stores, box department stores, etc. and we as Catholics cowered in our homes, as the disciples did that Sunday after Christ arose from the dead.
I think during covid, we could still go to mass online - not exactly the same, but we could still make a spiritual communion. Excellent idea to go to mass more often during the week.
I am always thought that going to Mass at least one weekend since childhood and always not eager to go for a weekday mass... Then one day, I happened to be free and tried to go last year. At first i thought it was crazy idea to go on weekdays but since then, I become addict to go even weekdays when I am free. Become a thing to go after working time to go for mass followed by gym or going to cell group etc. The peace that I feel after communion is insane.
His best homily yet! When he started into saying about being relieved or kinda happy that we didn’t have to go to mass, and that Jesus can be an accessory; I was convicted. Ouch! But a necessary ouch. It’s like when Jesus said, “you can’t serve God and mammon”……

What God says is wrong will be wrong. I can rely on that. To pray more - I look at muslim women and they pray 5 times a day. Five! it would be good if I prayed at least twice. They have a prescribed text, but so do I when I open the breviary. I even have English one. I actually like to watch muslim bloggers. They talk about kids, clothing and food, it's relaxing. I still don't want to read their BOOK but I like their HABITS, in every sense of the word :)

I am a child of God and also not a member of the Catholic Church. I have been told that I am not allowed to take the Eucharist because I am not Catholic. Jesus said: take this-my body and my blood. He didn't say: only if you are Catholic. I have struggled with this. Some of my Catholic friends have said-don't worry about it. Take the Eucharist anyway. Others say, don't because it's too dangerous. I can't think of one thing that would be dangerous in order to get more personal to my lord and savior. On the other hand, I want to respect the values of the church. It is so distressing.
For nerodivergent people, it looks a little different. We get distracted by things that don't "fit" with Mass. We have to discipline ourselves to the Mass just as others do, but it might take more energy. We are also invited to radically love those who are not participating fully in the Mass (and maybe sit up front to avoid the extra stimulus and just deal with the excessive incense). God gives us the grace to participate fully, but we need to want it.
During COVID I spent a lot of time searching for a church with limited access but at least I was able to receive holy communion Live stream is okay I suppose but it can’t replace being there
once I'm out, at least mentally, from a toxic environment - I mean from czech churches - I can continue with my plan - I mean "how to be a better person". Because I see that pattern - "in case nobody would like you and everybody would criticize you, and cast you out of all fellowships and deny you, you will be more and more unhappy and dark and evil, our Poor Little Scapegoat". People use this and absorb this like this is some law. No. The gravitational law is a law. This is only a psychological pattern. Everyone can accept or reject this pattern as soon as they recognize it.
I see mass as necessity, not accessory. But that's not to say that we were wrong for shutting down churches during the pandemic. I'd say the Christian thing to do would be to look out for one another and not be risking people's lives.
The sacrifice proved he was omnipotent. Let me explain. Jesus was considered the true sacrifice or the final sacrifice because before he died people would sacrifice animals for God to receive forgiveness from sins. But now that Jesus died, it is communicating to people that he is powerful enough to not even need an animal to die.
@@farmville69 I'm not questioning gads power. I'm questioning why he needed his son to dye for something that he created. Why didn't gad just snap his fingers or blink his eyes (or however he makes magic) to resolve the problem that he created?
Y’all folded. You undermined the entire thing by FOLDING to the lie. The cold of Siberia couldn’t shut a starving priest down, but there were plenty of fellow Christians willing to betray those who suggested secret Eucharist. Some priests were indignant to those who suggested secret Eucharist. I have returned and hope y’all LEARNED something. But I have doubts now.

They have a prescribed text, but so do I when I open the breviary. I even have English one. I actually like to watch muslim bloggers. They talk about kids, clothing and food, it's relaxing. I still don't want to read their BOOK but I like their HABITS, in every sense of the word :)
FR WALTER is a all around Fr. Mikes homilies. Can i kindly get some litrature on him. I would love to read
The book is called He Leadeth Me. I'm eager to read it. I facilitate a Book Club at my parish and may read this book with my members.
Second kidney!!!!!!! I’m sorry. I had to laugh. May the Peace of Christ be with all of you. Happy Easter Sunday. 🕊️🙏🕊️
Father, you are so handsome. Do you think watching you and thinking that how handsome you are, Is a sin for a married Catholic woman?
Father Mike, can you talk about the 3 day darkness? And what will jesus give us four heads up
For nerodivergent people, it looks a little different.
Great message 🙏
During COVID I spent a lot of time searching for a church with limited access but at least I was able to receive holy communion
Live stream is okay I suppose but it can’t replace being there

once I'm out, at least mentally, from a toxic environment - I mean from czech churches - I can continue with my plan - I mean "how to be a better person".
Regret, because i could worship at a big box store but could not worship at St JUDES in Lewes De
Can I have the name of the book written by father Walter?
The book by Fr Walter Cizsek is called He Leadeth Me
I see mass as necessity, not accessory. But that's not to say that we were wrong for shutting down churches during the pandemic. I'd say the Christian thing to do would be to look out for one another and not be risking people's lives.
If gad is omnipotent and created everything why did he need his son to dye for something that he created?
The sacrifice proved he was omnipotent.
Let me explain.
Jesus was considered the true sacrifice or the final sacrifice because before he died people would sacrifice animals for God to receive forgiveness from sins. But now that Jesus died, it is communicating to people that he is powerful enough to not even need an animal to die.
@@farmville69 I'm not questioning gads power. I'm questioning why he needed his son to dye for something that he created. Why didn't gad just snap his fingers or blink his eyes (or however he makes magic) to resolve the problem that he created?
Is Fr. Mike wearing two watches? Haha
Yes many Catholic priests wear two watches. They need to know the local time and what time it is in Rome.
@@rhwinner Ahh, interesting!
How many C…did u watched and made fun of while u visiting AK???
I'm a proud ex-Catholic.
@syan625 I'm an Animist.
That ex catholic remark made me shudder. Mama will get you back. Praying for allex catholic.
Just can't get my head around a rock or tree having a soul.... Bless you for listening to Fr Mike❤
I'm sorry that someone did that to you...
@@junesingh4293 Just so ya know I put my you know what up to the face of a virgin Mary statue.
Suis catholique en dehors de l'église...
Slow down your talking to fast
Wow! So powerful. Jesus is my necessity!
Thanks!
Thank you!
