I'm in my O Level year and knowing my procrastinating mindset, i wanted to find some motivational videos. Then i found this video which has now inspired me to stop being a lazy person and actually plan ahead of time. This is day 1 of my new habit and i'll update all of you on my performance at the end of my O Levels. Wish me luck :)
This guy has a Video Production Company, posts weekly INSANELY high-quality TH-cam videos lately, gets into the Dean list, has to worry about his hairline, and STILL has the time to balance out his social life, friendships, relationships, and family. The way he sets up his uni life for success after he graduates (doesn't have to since he has his own company), always having a goal and plan, making sure he has content and memories so that he doesn't live his life in regret. Guys this man is from the future and is WAYYYY ahead of the curve for his age. Youngsters this is how you tackle University.
I have been using Active Recall technique for my past 2 papers - High Rise Construction (86%) and Safety Management (97%) and I crushed them beautifully. Thanks for the tips man Active Recall really helps. !!!!

This is the 5th time I have come back to this video to make one. I have only had max 1 resit per exam period. If you put in the hard work, it will pay off!! To everyone who has to study, GOOD LUCK!!! start of sem (make months timetable) split remaining time in n courses know what's in your exams and time left spaced repetition (3 sessions for 1 week 2 days interval and 1 for b4 exam, 1st two to learn properly, the others for active recall/pure memory/practice paper) tips practice time condition b4 exams enough sleep 6-7 hours
learning in uni vs learning in workplace is different. if you can, would appreciate if you can talk about methodologies of learning in the workplace. thanks!

once again a solid video by mr tamago!! but i have a few questions based on your schedule, it seems like this sort of time table only works if there is a study break: 1. what if you had new content to digest as final approaches? 2. do you still schedule exercise when grinding towards finals? 3. how would you practice active recall if you didnt have past year papers as guidelines for questions?
1. study finish all new content by the end of STRING 2, start practicing & recap on STRING 3 and the day before your paper 2. It depends, if I'm really drowning neck deep in revisions then I usually take a one week break from gym haha 3. As mentioned in the video, find a friend and quiz yourselves from the lecture material! I did this with my friend for another module this sem haha (thats the best you can do for retrieval practice)
im entering jc, i m scared im not able to transition well into lecture style from classroom style, r u able to make a video about what to expect, what to do and what not to? or sth like this. love this vid btw
jc has both tutorials (classroom style) and lectures. for tutorials, its not that different from secondary school lessons. you will get tutorial work (just like sec school homework) that u will need to do before attending tutorials. during tutorials, the tutor will go through the questions and explain the concepts required to answer them. the only difference for jc and sec school is that u have to be more independent, especially when absorbing and learning your content. for jc, content is taught in lectures. in an LT, its usually hard for students to grasp the topic when the lecturer explains it for the first time so its advised that you read up the lecture notes (which you will purchase/print in advance) before u attend the lecture. its also hard for students to ask questions during lectures, so you should arrange for consultations with ur subject tutor to ensure that u have a proper understanding of the topic. u can also consult on questions in tutorial homework that u do not unds. hope u understand how the jc lesson system works!

Sadly not all university disclose the chapters one need to focus on for exam. Often we have to cover the entire textbook content for our exam preparation which is much more tedious
