She would have reacted very differently I believe. Bill Bell grew tired of Jill by the 1990s after Brenda Dickson was gone, so he had the character stuck with the same storylines: marrying John and cheating on him, feuding with Katherine, disapproving of her son’s girlfriend. If Brenda Dickson was still in the role, I don’t think that Jill would be fond of Katherine being her mother.

I may be wrong but I have the feeling that Jill is involved in this Will Scam. I read on You Tube that Catherine had a DNA done it showed that Jill was Catherine Daughter. But it also said that no one saw the results but Catherine. Who knows I wasn't watching the show back then I was working.After retirement I start watching All My Children until it was ended. Then I start watching The Young And The Restless because Angie and Jessie was going to be playing on the show. Who played on All My Children so that when I start watching The Young And The Restless because Angie and Jessie was my favorite on the show.

It made no sense. Why would Jill be excited about the woman who killed the man she loved being her mother? That would’ve meant that she was married to her “brother”, Brock at one point and tried to marry her stepfather also. Brenda Dickson’s Jill would have fainted after hearing the news.

I guess the revelation in 2008 that they weren't related shouldn't have been too much of a surprise. After all we only had Katherine's word for it.
