I took my original off welded it and reground the teeth into it, it works but you will have to do it every so often. By the way my machine is only one year before it happened, crap metal.

Can you show how you put the shift shaft in the gear? Seems like the kit doesnt include that part to attach to shifter arm
What size socket did it take to remove the cover bolts?
I don't remember but am pretty sure it was smaller than 12mm, either 10mm or 11mm.
