Nice job paying attention to the audio levels. I know I give you guys a hard time, but your audio is always on point. One thing I would like to suggest, is update the songs you guys use! I like them, but different is always good and I know you guys produce, even if they are just 1min long tracks, fresh stuff is always appreciated and who doesn't like producing new tracks?

19:30 Is the O2 sensor getting plugged in right in the middle of the CAT? I would think it's more ideal to have the wideband/o2 sensor before the catalytic converter to get the most accurate AFR's for tuning. Or is there a different reason for it?
Most wonderful moment I had when swapping my engine out and all the work I put into putting a bigger engine in. Hearing that car fire up for the first time not even drivable but it could at least start was the happiest moment in my life. If you see my profile pic you can see I got a tiny car too and its definitely hard to fit stuff under the hood.

I've shared you're channel with mates out of our Mini club and at 22:54 on a Saturday evening 5 of them have just started watching Episode 1 and have said they now have to watch all of them :) I can't wait to see the finished project! Came into the comments as I was wondering why they didn't do that, especially since it was a rare wrench (in Australia anyway). Could have put another fitting on the gauge to move it out of the way too. Must have been some reason they didn't.
Lol 5/8 is 16mm I'm a heavy deisel mech in australia Imp spanners are still very common But I do alot of both 1/2 is 13 mm almost 9/16 is 14 5/8 is 16 3/4 is 19 7/8 is 22 15/16 is 24 mm

This is a great mod! One thing with the supercharger. I'm guessing the blower is already fitted but this particular supercharger has 2 gears in the rear which are used to run a water pump. It would be a good idea to take the back plate off, remove the large gear which is attached to the fork drive and fit a blanking plate. The oil in the gear chamber has a habit of leaking past the seal in to the rotor cavity and then the gears eat each other.
You didn't need to shave the "spanner", you could have removed the gauge, installed the pressure regulator and replaced the gauge. I do that kind of stuff all the time in the oil field. Can't wait to hear it run!

Mini owner number 1: If you drop a bolt, nut or spanner in a Mini engine bay it will not fall out on the floor but rather disappear into a black hole never to be seen again! I own a 1098 Mini. It is a short stroke version that was only produced in South Africa (Same bore as 1275 but shortened stroke). I have fitted a 40mm Dellorto side draft and it runs beautifully! Love your Channel! I also had a laugh that you are already on episode 6 and still not done. (which brings me to Mini owners rule number 2 Mini owners rule number 2: Take the time you estimate the job will take and multiply it by 10. You now have a more accurate estimate of how long the job will really take.
i wish u guys did the same or similar to an opel manta or opel gt from 71 i love those cars! and i cant find anything about them.. noone ever did some show about those fantastic and iconic cars!
I know here in US we have 10% ethanol in our pump gas and it destroys carburetors if it sit in there for a couple months. And eventually destroys fuel lines. Im curious how it reacts with modern engines when it's increased far past 10%. If you guys ever have trouble with fuel lines from running such a high ethanol you should check into the green shield fuel lines made by Acdelco. All the hot rod guys run it over here. But it looks like you have some good fuel lines. Can't wait to see it finished. Greetings from the states!
I make the corn juice and the difference between fuel and drinking Ethanol is the amount of impurities. Things such as methanol, propanol. UV and acedaldehyde is measured and has limits in the drinking alcohol while the fuel alcohol only has a moisture limit which would be about 0.6%
Might I suggest, whenever you need a flat spanner, visit a bike shop! Cone spanners for adjusting hub bearings etc are made from flat steel, thin enough to fit on the spanner flats without the locknut binding up on it. Sadly they're all metric sizes these days, but a stash of vintage tools such as those provided with your dad's old Raleigh 3 speed would probably do the trick for your Imperial testicles.
Just FYI you don't want to add pump to E85 or E85 to pump unless your pretty low on either. You don't want to mix them all the time at like 50/50. Wait until you get to about a quarter of a tank to switch over. Yes I know the flex sensor can read the difference but it's just better for the engine to not have such a vast difference of fuel regularly (:
Obviously you didn't read what I said, "Yes i know the flex sensor can read the difference" but you shouldn't be mixing a high amount of fuel like that. It's better to have at least 75% of one fuel, you get no gain by mixing pump and E85 it's stupid and could hurt your motor.

Next time before you grind down a good spanner, remove the fuel psi gauge, install bracket, then re-install gauge. lol

I own a 1098 Mini. It is a short stroke version that was only produced in South Africa (Same bore as 1275 but shortened stroke). I have fitted a 40mm Dellorto side draft and it runs beautifully!

I know here in US we have 10% ethanol in our pump gas and it destroys carburetors if it sit in there for a couple months. And eventually destroys fuel lines. Im curious how it reacts with modern engines when it's increased far past 10%. If you guys ever have trouble with fuel lines from running such a high ethanol you should check into the green shield fuel lines made by Acdelco. All the hot rod guys run it over here. But it looks like you have some good fuel lines. Can't wait to see it finished. Greetings from the states!

I make the corn juice and the difference between fuel and drinking Ethanol is the amount of impurities. Things such as methanol, propanol. UV and acedaldehyde is measured and has limits in the drinking alcohol while the fuel alcohol only has a moisture limit which would be about 0.6%

Anyone noticed that the temp gauge in supergramps is through the roof? I hope and assume that it's just off because they use the Haltech.
Love you guys. Couldn't you have unscrewed the fuel pressure gauge on the regulator to tighten the 5/8 bolt, instead of grinding the wrench?
Might I suggest, whenever you need a flat spanner, visit a bike shop! Cone spanners for adjusting hub bearings etc are made from flat steel, thin enough to fit on the spanner flats without the locknut binding up on it. Sadly they're all metric sizes these days, but a stash of vintage tools such as those provided with your dad's old Raleigh 3 speed would probably do the trick for your Imperial testicles.

Just FYI you don't want to add pump to E85 or E85 to pump unless your pretty low on either. You don't want to mix them all the time at like 50/50. Wait until you get to about a quarter of a tank to switch over. Yes I know the flex sensor can read the difference but it's just better for the engine to not have such a vast difference of fuel regularly (:
Flex sensor modifies the tune in realtime, if it was a concern, Haltech would say something about it.
Obviously you didn't read what I said, "Yes i know the flex sensor can read the difference" but you shouldn't be mixing a high amount of fuel like that. It's better to have at least 75% of one fuel, you get no gain by mixing pump and E85 it's stupid and could hurt your motor.
And this is coming from real world experience with a 1200hp flex fuel supra.
