you keep saying its an early playstation game but its not. It came out in 2001, 6 years after the playstation came out. there's no excuse, Spyro came out years earlier and it showed how platformers on the PS should be.
Spyro came out pretty early on and set the standard for 3d platformers. Disney had the money so there's no excuse, I agree. :/

Christmas of 2000 in the UK - slightly after "Spyro: Year of the Dragon" released.
Technically, this game came out before the third movie, and takes place before it, hence why Jasmine and Aladdin aren't married yet.
Actually no, Aladdin and the King of Thieves was released in 1996, while this game came out in 2000
@@unrealdwarf1 My bad, I got the release dates mixed up. It probably does take place between the second and third movies, though, given how Jafar's dead and Aladdin and Jasmine haven't gotten married yet.

I never completed it no matter I try, the reason for that is the same problem you had which was the poor platforming.
but I still love this game.

Love this review. This is your second E-Heroes review I've seen (the other one is the in-progress DreamGear 140), and I must say, I think I'm gonna be hooked to your show now. You are awesome.
So you say it's hard to jump? Well I played once this on PC and I had graphic problem. There was no models, no floor, only few textures. And you know? I beat like 21 levels of 30. So I must be global elite in 3d platforms
...Aaaand Blip took down the whole channel. So much for seeing the parody song.

I wanted to see the parody
The game is set after the events of Return of Jafar and *before* the television series and Aladdin and the King of Thieves. Doesn't change the issues with the gameplay of course.

You know, when I first heard the name "Nasira", I thought you were talking about one of two female villains I remember from the show: 1) The woman that cast a spell on Aladdin to make him become infatuated with her, after trapping Jasmine in this other dimension, yet would some how allow her to see the world of Agrabah through water. or 2) The evil spirit that possesses Jasmine, giving her a goth appearance (goth by Disney's standards, i.e. wearing all black with black lipstick, black eyeliner and purple eye shadow), and wanting to kill the Sultan so she could rule Agrabah.

As far as i know, the was released initially in late 2000,
so definitely by that point in time this game wasn't exactly a "early" PS1 game released anymore. Just spitballin'.

Um, I remember when this game was brand new, that was in 2001. Last time I checked PS1 was released in Sept 1995. So um, this is NOT a early PS1 title. In fact the PS2 was out by this point when this shit pile came out.
And oh man, why do you own a copy of Aladdin And The Adventure Of All Time? I still remember Phelous's review of it well.
I play this game but only the demo version I never get the opportunity to play it in full version.

This was the last PS1 game from my childhood that I managed to finish...about 4 months ago, after using a level select cheat to skip over that aggravating Jasmine level...
To be honest, even the SNES and GEN versions wasn't that great compared to a chinese bootleg backport made by Hummer Team, which I can honestly say the best Aladdin game ever made.

I remember briefly playing this game when I was a kid and found the first few levels (especially Agrabah) too drawn out for comfort. I don't think I made it past the first Palace level...

I never got past the slide in the Cave of Wonders. Maybe if the platforming was easier (like in the first three Harry Potter games), more people would enjoy this game.

I love your work, Andrew, and I've actually been following your animation and such for the better part of a decade... though as a Megaman fan, I'm sure you can guess roughly when that would date back to. (As someone who also was interested in a more mature exploration of the series, I sympathize)
However, I must join those who are voicing complaint about Silent Bomber being placed in your bad games pile. Not that you aren't entitled to opinion, of course, but I'd actually argue it's a overlooked and under appreciated gem in the PSX library. I learned about it from a friend who had it and, as I recall, regarded it as one of his more treasured titles in the library, and through him I got to play it. I think even finished it. I recall it being hard, but rewarding, much like a game like God Hand or Dark Souls would be.
Actually, I'm kinda thankful it showed up in here, because for the better part of the decade, I've occasionally conjured fond memories of the game, but always failed to recall the precise title. '...something... Bomber.' And inevitably, I'd try to remember just what that something was, inevitably give up and resolve to EVENTUALLY pour through an archive of PSN titles till I found the right one, but never really did. I think I started too once... but there was a lot of stuff on that console. But now I have it cemented in my memory. I'll have to track it down again sometime. It probably hasn't aged well, but I think it's worth another look.

I'm beginning to wonder who steals the joke delivery from whom... Pro Jared, PBG, JonTron, Jirard, this guy - and ending it like Blockbuster Buster... I guess everyone steals from each other and in the end you don't even know who you're watching anymore. Also, Nasira looks like Cher.

Why does Disney always do that? Any time they want to make a follow-up to a popular title they always pull the "evil relative looking for revenge" plotline. In "Little Mermaid 2" it was Ursula's crazy seester! In "The Legend of Tarzan" Clayton's sister shows up looking for revenge, and heck I even count Zira from "Lion King 2" (even though she was just Scar's crazy obsessed girlfriend). The whole thing's actually quite cliche. There's even a fan theory that Mozenrath from the Aladdin series was supposed to be Jafar's freakin' son...it's just a fan theory though so take of that what you will.
