76 is slow for the scom. I can bet you also have a defective ride plate, my 325 px is only hitting 76.7. put a straight edge on it and not one spot on it is flat and only the last 2" has a hard taper rather than gradually throughout. These skis are running 80mph with the scom only. Rivaracing machines the defective ones to the correct specs to get the speed you missing
Yes. To be fair, this test (I should have mentioned) was done with a full tank, storage bin full of crap & my son on the back with me. I did see 81 with those variables removed.
My stock '21 RXTX 300 hits 77 mph at 8000 RPM even with a near full tank of gas. But '21 machines were known for being quite speedy. There is a guy in our seadoo club that will pull away real fast on his '24 RXTX 325, but I will quickly hunt him down and blow by him. However, I do know that an unlocked 325 will eventually blow by my 77 mph machine.
I think it’s a bit mixed up with also wrong informations The new version of the map tuner or when it’s mounted on an international model it removes the GPS limiter complete ~80mph. -> this is also over the International speed limiter and let the unit run in the rpm limiter with the original impeller!!! In fact we don’t need to talk about that, this would void the warranty! This is nothing what’s available for the driver, nothing what is tested, approved or anything else..
@@midwestadventurelife And that is wrong. The international units are speed limited to ~76mph. If you install the scom there it remove the limiter complete and the unit hit the rpm limiter all the time under full throttle. The first version for the Us market also rises it only to the international speed limiter, now the scom also overrun the international gps limiter. This is not supposed to and it do more than 8250rpm… And this is nothing that is approved by manufacturer and a manipulation which void the warranty. So therefore there is nothing written from BRP as this is by fact against the warranty policy and nothing that is available and approved ;)
Also keep all the time in mind, That all this is against the type approval of the Unit. If anything happens the operator is liable, not the manufacturer.. So in fact this is against the Warranty and is case of engine damage this can void it by rights. -> so I would never mention that this is in line with the warranty policy as this can go really wrong and can cost 10k it it goes wrong.
@@TFWatersport I'm only seeing 8100 RPMs. Still well under the limit from BRP. I didn't say this was approved by brp, but I think you'll have a hard tome with any warranty claim. The SCOM has been around for years on the 300's
Just take it off before you bring it in. I don't believe they can see top speed, only rpm range and the stock limiter is in place. They'd never know. They also can't deny warranty work unless they can prove the scom was the cause of the failure
Great video. Nice explanation.
I have u all bet. I have only a scom. On my 2022 rxp 300 and want 81mph 79.6 on GPS
Can you unplug the Maptuner from the ski every-time you have a service then plug it back in after? Or will it play up?
Yes
Good info! Thanks is there on for a 2023 300 apex that won’t show up on a buds
This will also work on your 2023 300 ☺

Does MapTuner not drain your battery by leaving it connected all the time?
No, it 'goes to sleep' after a few minutes
Where do I buy it from
Nielsen Enrterprises 847 356-3000
I’m assuming it shuts off on its own…???…do you simply close the app..???
You only have to use the app to set it up, or to view diag. Yes, the item shuts down a few minutes after ski is off.
With the key out/off .. I can’t get the top right green light to go off ??? Any ideas ???
@@Sikhemi how long did you wait?
A few minutes…didn’t really count

Yes - this removes GPS limiter - but keeps the ski running in the Factor RPM limits

Any issues with the maptuner staying in place?
No, I have it zip tied off to the side, but am 3d printing a holder

Just the nano
Jeff neilsen just showed me a text message from brp stating that this mod void your warranty.
