Man am I glad that someone is willing to fix dead PS3s. You see, it was part of my childhood and since we don’t have clone based PS3s like the Famicom/NES (lol) it does mean less and less systems are available for those that want to try out the system. Keep up the good work and fix those bad boys.

I wonder why consoles didn't then do that, right no no longer have IHSs for the gpu and cpu. Considering that it's not intended for people to open it would make more sense to have direct die cooling.

I want a CECH-B01 so bad! The murdered-out look is too clean. The 20gb hdd is irrelevant as I'd slap an SSD in there, and 54MBPS wireless g is useless in 2024 anyway!

Do you remove moisture from the boards with baking? Some boards have enough moisture inside that they popcorn, and should be baked at 100-105C for 2-4 Hours
I do bake, usually for 2 hours.

Do you know what is applied on the 4 ram chips of the gpu ? It’s not thermal paste. Cylicon maybe ?
