My main issue with long road trips in EVs is the extra time it takes due to charging. If I had extra days to burn, it wouldn't matter as much, but I generally don't want to add a day of driving because I have to wait for charging up. A trip across the country added more than 10 hours to my trip compared to the same exact trip the year before in an ICE vehicle.
Enjoyed the video! Would've been cool if you shared the Model Y efficiency, it would have been interesting to see the difference between truck and crossover.
Cool, I do a similar trip during the summer a few times, from Jupiter to Cedar Mtn.....but not (yet) in R1S or Y....for now in my Toyota Tundra, but looking forward to doing it in my EV, when I get one (soon)
Thanks very much for the VLOG! Wonderful detail! Question, Jose: Did you have any issue with the Rivian Nav selecting your preferred CPO: Tesla chargers (in addition to the RAN). I haven’t road-tripped yet in my R1S, but plan to next month. And I’ve been rehearsing my trip on the Nav in my vehicle and in the Rivian app. Both keep selecting non-preferred CPOs (e.g. EA, EVGo, FPL Evolution, etc.). Sounds like your experience is different. Please elaborate. Thanks!
Thanks! When I planned the trip in the vehicle I made sure to select Tesla and Rivian only as my preferred networks and that automatically adjusted where I needed to stop.

Awesome video! Such a beautiful drive up through NC and TN! Thanks for sharing this, and looking forward to more in the future!
Great vlog man! Love seeing how the Rivian handles this kind of road trip down to Disney!

I was hoping I could but it was hard to rely on others and they didn't drive down with us back home.
Agree, have to stop for Buc-ee’s when you have a chance.

It’s a great time!

What adapter are you using for Tesla supercharger
I have the official one Rivian sent and my A2Z
Really liking the 2.2mi/kWh you're getting on your Outpost nAT's. I'm on a wait list for some in Canada.
They're amazing!
Jose, I think you were close to where I’m building a house near the Blue Ridge Parkway! We’re going to AirB&B it next year😊
I’ll reach out!
I’m getting a lot of steering vibration with my nATs. Do you experience the same? Rivian said it was tires vs. rebalance.
I had a little bit but its not terrible.
@@riviantrackr Are you still running 60psi on those? Or did you pull it back to 48?
@Jmf2332 55PSI is my daily
Nice video! Love the stats. Anxious to get my tesla adapter.
If you have no patience, grab the A2Z I love it and I have a discount code on the site
@@riviantrackr thanks!
