Take note that Kurtz scripted an elaborate presentation for these epic coin routines. A lot of work. My guess is he did in fact perform for lay audiences as well.

The 3 fly idea was printed in Secret Sessions and was performed in 1984 by an incredible magician at an Abbotts get together it was actually based on the slippery Sam gimmick from Steve Dushek.
