I saw him perform at a convention in the late 90's and unfortunately during the banquet show he had some challenges with some props and you could tell it bothered him tremendously. It took it out of the performance zone so to speak. Very happy to get a chance to see this footage.
hey Morris, this is me from your reply, on my magic page now. This effect is still strong for people and all ages. I used to finish by tying them together then the knots would fall off leaving one long rope.
Were they allowing Phones at the shows? Everyone would record on it these days and you can't trust people to turn them off and even the the Mogul on vibrate would loudly answer during your set!
It's AMAZING that this "procedral" approach has been railed against in the "Journals" and while I don't like the word "examine", He's proving without a shadow of doubt (at least in the spectators minds) that the MAGIC is HIM not some piece of strore BOUGHT apparatus. Of course,if they only knew the value of those three coins...that chinese coin is "collectable". Everyone loves a "story" but EVERY trick can't be one, anymore than every Blues has to be about losing a woman and a broken heart... great job guys I hadn't heard of this Pro,the working guys aren't drinking every night at the Castle.
