Thank You Alfy .
Excellent video! I’m speechless!
Thank you!
Thank you as always for another window into your world.
Must be especially nice to have Devlin there to share it with you in real time.
Glad you enjoyed coming along and it is great to have Devlin on board for sure. :)
Great to see Devlin back aboard! “Skinnies” look awesome. It is very interesting to see the daylight so late in the 24 hour day. Thanks for sharing your videos with us!
Great to have her back on board and they sure were tasty! Long days this time of year and in late June the sun doesn't even set until after 10:30pm!
Thanks for another great video.
Enjoy the trip and the company!
Fair winds. Peace.
You are welcome and so glad you enjoyed it!
Can't wait to see all the new places on this trip and Devon's hair looks great.
We went to come pretty great spots this trip! Stay tuned and she reads the comments so I know she'll appreciate the compliment!
Very nice!
Great to see Devlin back!!!
Thanks and it sure is great to have her back on board!
It looks SO peaceful and cozy. 🌞 A good start of the trip. A little tip that I occasionally use: Add a little bit of cardamom and a small amount peel of a lemon in the dough for the pancakes - it’s a tastefull variation.
Looking forward to part 2!
Always peaceful and cozy on the water and thanks for that tip! I'll pass it on! :)
Your talk with RAN bought me here. I lived in BC for over 50 years and really love the ocean and the west coast. I now live in Calgary. Subscribed now and thank you for your channel. Safe travels to you both.
It was so great to meet Malin and Johan as they passed through Prince Rupert and thanks for checking out our channel! Wow! You lived here on the coast for a long time, but I know Calgary is a nice place too as I spent a lot of time there growing up (grandparents lived there). Hope you'll enjoy seeing some of the other episodes posted! Alfy & Devlin
Thanks for the reply Alfy and Devlin. Most of my 50 years were in the Vancouver area but my first 9 years I was raised in Kitimat. Was such a small town back then and Alcan was the big employer. I love the west coast and hope to someday be able to buy a boat and live on it somewhere on the west coast. Love the north just because of it's rugged beauty. Safe sailing and take care.@@lifeislikesailing
Most of my life has been in Vancouver as well, but I'll agree completely that the north has a rugged beauty that has to been seen and experienced to appreciate it. I've been to Kitimat many times and I'm sure it is a little different now compared to where you were there. All the best from us both!
Ist ein Super-Video!
Thank you!
Nice to see you guys together again on the water.....great video brother!
Thanks and great to have her along! :)
What a wonderful surprise to see the lovely first mate Devlin back again! Also the videography is some of the most amazing on the net. Y'all have more and more great cruises together and keep the videos coming. Take care, Craig from South Carolina
It sure is great to have her back on board and so glad to hear you are still enjoying the footage Craig! :)
Back Lets Go Sailing :)
Hi Alfy, " captian " (2:35 ) ;-) . Nice to see you in such a good company again. Waiting for the rest of the trip. Nice winds for Devlin and you

Hi Alfy. With the first mate back aboard I think this will Devliny be a good trip! 😉
haha, I think it will be! :)
Once again a great video ty
Thank you!
Nice to see Devlin again! Really enjoy the videos, amazing scenery. Hopefully there will be more salmon and halibut cooking coming up. Thanks!
Glad you are happy to see Devlin along for this trip and she is an amazing cook so I am sure there will be some clips of delicious fish meals coming soon! :)

Lovely as usual Alfy and good to see Devlin again :) thanks and best from Jakarta
Thank you and it it great to have her along this time for sure! Fair winds from British Columbia's North Coast. :)
lets go sailing :)
she loves it.
Thanks.
Nice video its good to have nice company on the boat sometimes.!!
Thanks and glad you enjoyed it! Sure is great to have good company on these trips!
Nice little video! I need pancakes now!!!!
I want pancakes now too. ha
Very well put together series of videos. Nicely shot and edited. I've never been north of Cape Scott although I've been all over Vancouver Island. I prefer sailing to motoring and going north into the inside passage is all about motoring and meeting tides & currents. You have the right boat to sail these waters, C&Cs go to windward like freight trains! Been to the outside of the Island yet? (I'm working my way through your videos and I may find that trip yet!).
Thank you and so glad you are enjoying the videos so far. Yes, a little harder to sail on BC's northern coast, but very beautiful and remote up here which is really great. I haven't been on the outside of Vancouver Island yet, but I am sure it will happen eventually! Fair winds in 2019 to you! Alfy & Devlin
Nice mountie sweater.
Thanks! :)
Moonshine i miss you !
Great video and hello from Winnipeg
Thank you and hello back from British Columbia's North Coast. :)
My brother and I use to call them Nummy Nums when we were little kids and the name stuck. I did not know to make them ahead of time and leave them sit before cooking so I will be giving that a try.
That is a good nick name for them! :)
Great video,it's midnight here and guess what i'm craving? (pancakes mmmm :-) )...nice to see Devlin with you, some amazing meals coming i bet :-)...thanks for sharing.
Thank you and that would be a great midnight snack! Always amazing meals when she is around! :)
Good vid Alfy.
Thank you!
Devlin, make sure that you remind Alfie once in awhile, whose actually in charge. I did notice one request for your crepe mix. I grew up in West Van and my Mum was French Canadian. She would make us crepes a lot. Unfortunately I do not have her recipe. Please post your recipe. Have a great trip. Oh, I meant to mention that we did have a summer place up near Lund, for many years.
I think most men know who the real bosses are. hah I'll see if Devlin can post the recipe somewhere for you all! I have been to Lund, beautiful spot!
Our camp was about a mile north of Actrivita Reef. Ha, I can't remember how to spell it.
Which model of C&C is Moonshine, we have a C&C 37/40 currently in Grenada. Hoping to travel to BC's coast in the future. Nice shots of the scenery and charts. Very helpful, thanks.
Go to www.lifeislikesailing.com to see s/v Moonshine's specs. :) I hope you make it here for some amazing cruising! :)
Thanks for the reply. We may truck "Pisces" from Texas to Seattle, then head north. Grace a connection to Atlen from her youth. Would be nice to reconnect.
2:33 Nice to see "Captian" Alfy....
I caught it after it was uploaded of course. ha
No worries buddy, your videos are always enjoyable.... thanks...
Great to see you in a longer cruise.
I was wondering what Mustang life vest you wear. I’m looking for one for similar type of sailing as yours ⛵️
Always nice to get away for longer periods of time. The model is MD2953.
Great to see Devlin back 😊 looking forward to seeing your trip together! 👍
Thanks and great to have Devlin along for this one!
Thanks for another great episode !! 👍 Say hi to RAN when they come through...PS - How about a big trip over to and around Graham or Moresby Island? Any plans to ever show us that area?
Glad you enjoyed it! I hope to see them as they pass through, I'll keep an eye out for them. :) I def want to get over to Haida Gwaii when I can get enough time off to do that trip!
Saw your photo on RAN’s Facebook page. Look forward to your interview with them.
Is it warm enough for shorts a tee shirts. It looks chilly for summer. Cheers
It sure was great meeting Malin and Johan! What an amazing journey they have been on and I hope that one day I can see the world like they are doing. :) Stay tuned and you may see shorts and t-shirt weather soon, but yes it is often cooler temps here on British Columbia's North Coast.
the questions i always get... what's for breakfast, what's for lunch, what's for dinner....lol
Good questions! ha
Good to see you two together again. Will there be halibut fishing to look forward to?
I'm glad to have her along too and always fun to catch a fish! :)
Smile.
:)
Hi Alfy & Devlin, Ok you now have made me hungry, so can you please share to us all your pancake or crape mix, I can never get them right. LOL
Cheers
Again from OZ
I will see if I can get her to post it somewhere. :) Fair winds from British Columbia's North Coast. :)
7.8 is nice on her :)
My boat also needs a Devlin :) By the way is it never t-shirt weather where you are? I always see you in thick winter jackets or many layers.
I am lucky to have her along for this trip! We do have cooler temps in this part of the world, but stay tuned, you might see a t-shirt! ha
:) Cool. :)
How far south were you able to go in two weeks time?
It took me two weeks to get from Vancouver to Prince Rupert (without rushing it). So I'd give myself the same amount of time going south. :)
So are you having fog in the morning? I had fog every morning and fairly strong winds every afternoon!
Sounds familiar! ha
Alfie,
Great video as usual !
Can you hook me up with the metal worker that built your windlass platform ?
Be headed that way on Monday.
Hooked up with Ran. They are headed your way, such a sweet couple !!
SV Ulicia.
Thanks and I'll message the metal fabricator as soon as I can, just heading out for a couple days and be back on Monday. It would be great to meet Ran for sure if they make it this way. :)
on that beautiful 34 :)
:)
your channel has always had a good "feel"to it, but it seems to me it's better every episode in that regard.
just seems smoother, more seamless. the music has always been a good fit but seems even better to my ear.
my only hope is you're not a canucks fan. :)
So glad to know you enjoy the genuine presentation of my travels along the coast! Stay tuned for more to come. I have to like the Canucks because I am from Vancouver, but I'm not a big hockey fan anyways. ha
"......but I'm not a big hockey fan anyways."
then you're living in the right city. :D
thnx alfy.
Tom Hanks could easily play you....lol
well that would be a great honour! ha
:)
