every other video I watched had the column bolt on the floor not on the side. thanks to your video i didnt flame out and toss my tools across the garage. Thanks for getting it right.
To help drop the wheel spindle down to get the strut out with out unbolting anything stick a shovel handle into the rear frame where the suspension connects and pry down with it to give yourself space to get the strut out. This works for the rear.
Im happy the previous owner of my 03 Accord replaced the rear struts just before I bought it. The front struts are much easier to replace, where do you get your parts?
I didn't see that you replaced that L bracket that was removed. The bolt head was broken, that might have been a problem for removal of the broken bolt and reinstall. How did you handle that?
Hey, what about the bolt you broke off with the impact wrench that holds that bracket. I believe you have a loose brake line bracket rattling around back there.
On my car struts and shocks are not bouncing abnormally and feel good on the road although vehicle has over 100k miles. Having said that, I do hear a thump from right rear(I think) when I travel over uneven, patchy surfaces. Any ideas?
+d w Thanks. Yea I painted it for now, too much rust, I couldnt stand to leave it like that. Maybe I'll put some.undercoating on it to protect it properly later.
Well you did a good job it's an improvement I have an 02 Accord EX and I'm putting a set of cheap maxpeedingrods coilovers on from eBay hopefully they last .
Thanks Question I have 2011 Honda Accord Exl 2.4 I can replace spring struts to bigger springs because I have 20 inch rims on and it's rubbing let me know thank you
Thank you, I like your video, question: Are Monroe's good for a 2007 Honda Accord or are Bilstein's better? Also where can I purchase complete strut assembly. Oreily's is charging !178.99 for front and $203.99 for rear, does that seem correct? Thank you for your time!
@@speedkar99they used to be quality but franchising and ownership changes ruins everything! I got some front struts from 1A Auto and they were quit as can be
@@speedkar99 thanks for the quick reply! Just recently found your video enjoying them! Also sorry everyone compare you to Chris fix lol enjoy both of you but both of you have your own styles
Nice video as always! I want to replace these rear shocks. Will a V6 accord rear shocks and front struts fit onto a v4 accord (2003-2007). They have different part numbers but some person is selling a complete set OEM for cheap. I can’t seem to get a clear answer on the front struts. Have you had any experience or will it change the ride feel? If sppedkar99 can’t can someone give some advice on this? Good idea or bad idea?

+James Bailey Thanks for the tip, thats what I did but its hard to see it on camera.

I didn't need to replace that bolt right away since the strut bolt was also holding the bracket.
Hey, what about the bolt you broke off with the impact wrench that holds that bracket. I believe you have a loose brake line bracket rattling around back there.
Nah it's not needed
Great Clear video thx!!
+Chris Brown thanks, I'm glad you found it helpful
How me can get four Honda stream shock ship to Jamaica

What did you with a bolt that snapped off?? How did you replace it??
I didn't 😟
What did you do with the snapped off bolt
What happen to the bolt that you snap?
Ah who needs those 😌
Great vid. Did you spray something black on your suspension parts?
+d w Thanks. Yea I painted it for now, too much rust, I couldnt stand to leave it like that. Maybe I'll put some.undercoating on it to protect it properly later.
Isn’t there a cushion retaining bolt that needs to be removed before you can pull out the seat?
Depends who worked on your car last...
Yes nice touch with the paint you should have mentioned that in the video I had to take everything back apart and paint it lol
+Anonymous 84 haha yeah the rust was so much!
Well you did a good job it's an improvement I have an 02 Accord EX and I'm putting a set of cheap maxpeedingrods coilovers on from eBay hopefully they last .

My question is why are the rear brakes still drum on this particular 2003+ accord? I thought they were all disc by then.
+Jav Mann this is an LX 4 cylinder base model
Thanks Question I have 2011 Honda Accord Exl 2.4 I can replace spring struts to bigger springs because I have 20 inch rims on and it's rubbing let me know thank you
Try V6 springs.
Did the v6 strut work.Same problem
good job. did all 4wheels last week and links =]
Awesome! I got another suspension video coming soon...stay tuned
How did you take out the other end of the broken bolt?
I left it
IS this a similar process I can do on the 2009 accord coupe?
Yes but I imagine rear seats might be different
I’m guessing the broke bolt doesn’t matter
+Tha truth hurts nah it just holds a bracket.
I thought I would be the only one who noticed. Watched twice, yup.
Used superglue....quick fix.@@jaylutschkin3328
You're the man dude
what band did you use

+Tracy Simms Monroe's are only good because they have lifetime warranty. The quality isn't that great honestly.

Yes good tip
ALWAYS try and do the bottom bolt FIRST! If those suckers are frozen in place you'll thank me later :) Great video though. Love it.
Good tip
Awesome video. I wish I could get my new ones in so easy
Yeah it's Rusty

Were they the same?
What about that sheared off bracket bolt?
+Just In I left it. It's just the bracket. And it's held on by the strut bolt anyway.
Superglue !
Nice job
