Coma. If you dont free him from the wires before beating Queen, he will complain in the Light World about his arm being asleep and being unable to move it- which means certain actions in the Dark World affect those in the light world. So Berdly getting frozen and then the Dark World becoming deleted, essentially made him braindead- but not actually dead since he wouldve turned to dust in the Light World. I believe it is likely the first on-screen example of a monster "Falling Down"
I have a feeling now that in the next chapter, Berdly wil be in a "coma" in the hospital. I'd say that this theory may be become likely, if he's not in class at the beginning of the next chapter.

I feel like Susie will be a major antagonist in the genocide route. There are times when the game let's us decide her actions, but she disregards our input and does what she wants. She can't be controlled.
@@azarious644 There's most of chapter one. When you split up she goes with Ralsei asking "Why does Kris always get to decide?". Then when talking to Noelle her dialogue doesn't change no matter what options you pick.
It's interesting how Kris will always be the antithesis of the player controlling them. In the Pacifist playthrough, the "real" Kris seems violent, subtly sadistic and enigmatic. In the Genocide playthrough, everyone talks about how Kris has "changed," implying the "real" Kris wasn't as malevolent before being controlled.
From what we can gather; Kris may be a prankster and rule breaker, but isn't heartless. We get tidbits of his story and how his relationships prior to Chapter 1 appear to be vaguely positive. He misses Asriel. He is pained by his mother and father's separation. He's pulled pranks on his family and friends. But does seem to care for freedom from our control. Regardless of route; Kris is aware and semi-powerless to stop our control. Only in night, as the antithesis of the Lightners can Kris break free of our control momentarily. Our soul seems to have a major drawback when he separates us from himself.. I get the idea that Kris is a town prankster, and deals with struggles such as being the only human in a world of monsters. And to have lost his self control by our presence only furthers his inner pain that we neglect. Only briskly seeing glimpses of his reactions in specific dialogue and secrets throughout the Dark World and real world.
I like how Berdly genuinely becomes the hero on this route. It makes me feel really terrible for him; watching him try stop Kris from making Noelle more evil.
It's not required to kill everything before meeting Noelle. the important thing is that you backtrack and kill everything when you get Noelle. Encounters previous to the trash heap do *not* matter.
And you can recruit Mauswheel, Werewerewire, and Tasque Manager while on this route. If only Noelle fights, then Kris's max HP is 158 when they fight Spamton NEO, but that isn't different enough from 160 HP to really matter.
as far as i still see it, the player controls all, we make them do what they dont want to do, (which justifies kris's soul ripping cutscenes) and this kinda disproves the theory of "oh its all fake whcih was made in ch1 since noelle has major memory of the dark world trauma, and berdly is in, well a concerning state. the characters 100% different entity's than the player, this isnt your game, they have their own mental states that your SOUL can decide for them, unwillingly. Also remember "theres only one ending" thats right, cause your choices dont matter.
Spoiler allert. In the "good ending" cutscene, we see kris rip his soul and use a knife to fill the world with DARKNESS (within darkness lmao) so I have the theory that maybe kris love so much to be in thoose dream adventures with susie and ralsei that maybe he isn't ripping his soul away for escaping our controll but so he can be as dark as he need to create the darkness that will build another world, another adventure, forever and ever. Probably everytime we choose to do something bad in this game is just like the character itself is good with it because if the players themselves let kris get the darkness he need to make a new world then why should he bother ripping his soul apart? With the "bad ending" route we are probably helping kris without even knowing it
@@nonhotrovatounnomemigliore9221 spoiler I think it’s the opposite. I think the SOUL is something transplanted by this worlds version of Gaster. Probably when Kris went into or towards the bunker at the bottom of the overworld map the first time. Which is referenced of handedly by snowdrake and monsterkid when you take susie down there. My theory is Gaster is trying to stop the world from ending while Kris (not the player) is trying to get the world to end so ralsei’s prophecy comes true. Whatever we do to the people doesn’t matter because as long as we accomplish the goal of closing the fountains. At least in Gasters point of view. The reason Kris keeps putting the heart back in is so Gaster and maybe sans who for whatever reason just moved into town don’t catch onto to them. A thing I’ve noticed every time I hear the prophecy is that the hero’s only appear after the world has been sent into ruin. Chapter 1 and two arnt us fulfilling the prophecy and closing the fountains. They are the lead up to the end of the world. Prequels if you will.
@@Lazy_Spade spoilers (oh well I think that people who are reading this kind of comments are already aware that they contains spoilers so I don't bother anymore to say it) well I think your is a good theory even if I can't understand why would kris keep his soul inside his body if that is what controll him. I think the soul is like a container and maybe the darkness kris summoned in the epilogue of the second chapter is a manifestation of the darkness inside his soul and maybe the soul have to stay inside the body to get darkness but when kris wnat to release that darkness he have to rip his soul away so that he can act freely and reveal his dark self
@@nonhotrovatounnomemigliore9221 I think the darkness is supposed to represent in a sense creativity and self expression, freedom. And the reason he keeps the soul inside him is because if he doesn’t however free he may be Gaster or whoever put the soul inside of them will track him down and put even harsher restrictions on them. It’s like if you borrow your parents car without them knowing . You have to put the both the keys and car back the way the were to be undetected. Also I’m not sure if kris put the heart back at the end of chapter two. The darkness blocked somethings out. So maybe they’re free now

Saying "It's horrible" isn't a cool thing to say. She is thinking that frying YOU is a horrible thing. Saying it's horrible means she isn't allowed to even think doing something bad to you. Saying it's natural isn't much better either
I know I'm extremely late but I just want to clarify. What she's most concerned about there isn't Kris saying it's okay or not; she's concerned about them replying to what she was thinking. We're literally invading her mind by answering - it doesn't matter what we say.
I have a lil headcnnon/theory on this, so ya know the first save file? it says: Kris but when you save, its YOUR name, like, THE PLAYERS NAME ITSELF! and at the end of chapter one.. (i think we all know this by now) you can sill control your soul! then at 19:29 it is stated that a voice unlike kris's voice was telling you what to do... something is wrong with our soul...OUR SOUL... its no matched with who we are supposed to be.. were supposed to be in our creation, our vessel... but somehow we ended up in kris's body instead... yet we choose to do these terrible things in this persons body, even if we dont know what happened in the time before... wait... remember the save file that had KRIS'S name on it?... if our name appears when we save, and kris, (the one we took over) has never been here before... and we are missing our VESSEL... did kris's soul end up in OUR body, and that save file was his??? who knows for sure, but thats just my idea on the whole ordeal...
Talking about "carry over ", Some of your choices in Chapter 1 DO actually have some impact in Chapter 2, even if minor: -if you don't meet Onion in CH 1, he will not appear tomorrow. -Not meeting Sans and then asking about his brother, he will be a bit suprised by the question, because...how the hell would you even know about his brother, anyway? -the trash machine you made will actually reappear in chapter 2, that was actually a really neat detail. -not really worth mentioning, but you keep the stuff you collected in the inventory. So... considering the MASSIVE implications the snowgrave route has (you know, cause Berdly very likely just DIED, and Noelle's psyche is already being affected by these events, even if maybe she's still not completely aware of it), not only i think the story will be heavily affected by it, but i have a bad feeling it's actually going to get even worse as we go...

I mean, just at the start, the fact that Kris and susie and freely get in and out of the dark world at will, various other hints from chapter 1, already seals the idea well enough imo. @@irisinmars It was a legitimate question as of Chapter 1, but now we have MUCH MORE evidence that tells us that, yes, the Dark World IS a real place, and our actions have consequences/repercussions.
I hear about people doing this run and talking about Kris manipulating Noelle. But Kris isn’t manipulating Noelle. YOU ARE. Even if you’re just curious about what’ll happen you’re still the one manipulating her. Not only do you choose what you say/do, but Kris can’t read dialogue boxes. They don’t know what Noelle’s thinking if she doesn’t actually say it out loud. It’s just like how people blame Chara for doing genocide. That was YOU. I feel like Susie will be a major antagonist in the genocide route. There are times when the game let's us decide her actions, but she disregards our input and does what she wants. She can't be controlled.
You mean in the first part of the first chapter
@@azarious644 There's most of chapter one. When you split up she goes with Ralsei asking "Why does Kris always get to decide?". Then when talking to Noelle her dialogue doesn't change no matter what options you pick.
Well, would ya listen to yourself or listen to some floating ass soul
Not to mention how pissed she would truly be if she found out what we were doing to Noelle 😭 she’s down bad

It's not required to kill everything before meeting Noelle. the important thing is that you backtrack and kill everything when you get Noelle. Encounters previous to the trash heap do *not* matter.
Huh. Didn’t know that. You would’ve thought that was the case.
And you can recruit Mauswheel, Werewerewire, and Tasque Manager while on this route.

@@JonnySpec You can't really recruit Mauswheel though because you need to recruit the sort of mice before that.
I actually found this one of the most interesting details in the route, for numerous reasons.
The little Gaster-ish bloop when you ”solve” the puzzles is so simple but sooo creepy
@@irisinmars 4:48 right there
as far as i still see it, the player controls all, we make them do what they dont want to do, (which justifies kris's soul ripping cutscenes) and this kinda disproves the theory of "oh its all fake whcih was made in ch1 since noelle has major memory of the dark world trauma, and berdly is in, well a concerning state. the characters 100% different entity's than the player, this isnt your game, they have their own mental states that your SOUL can decide for them, unwillingly.
Also remember "theres only one ending"
thats right, cause your choices dont matter.
I like your theory
With the "bad ending" route we are probably helping kris without even knowing it
@@nonhotrovatounnomemigliore9221 spoiler
I think it’s the opposite.
@@Lazy_Spade spoilers (oh well I think that people who are reading this kind of comments are already aware that they contains spoilers so I don't bother anymore to say it)
well I think your is a good theory even if I can't understand why would kris keep his soul inside his body if that is what controll him.
@@nonhotrovatounnomemigliore9221
I think the darkness is supposed to represent in a sense creativity and self expression, freedom.
So maybe they’re free now
Notice that after commanding noelle to use snowgrave you can hear kris’s talking sound.
They’re telling her to proceed, even though we can’t see it.

What does Noelle say if you pick “It’s horrible”?
I know it obviously cancels the genocide run. But I wonder if she says something sweet.
Actually the answer is the same and the genocide route continues
Saying "It's horrible" isn't a cool thing to say.
She is thinking that frying YOU is a horrible thing. Saying it's horrible means she isn't allowed to even think doing something bad to you. Saying it's natural isn't much better either
I know I'm extremely late but I just want to clarify. What she's most concerned about there isn't Kris saying it's okay or not; she's concerned about them replying to what she was thinking. We're literally invading her mind by answering - it doesn't matter what we say.
Everyone feels bad for Noelle but I feel bad for birdly they will have to find out at some point that he’s, gone.
21:06: If only Susie knew exactly what happened to her in THAT run...

Me too, like the Knight was taking over
So Kris bullies strong guys into becoming insane murderers. What a plot twist!
I hope part 3 has carry over so this storyline can carry on
Talking about "carry over ", Some of your choices in Chapter 1 DO actually have some impact in Chapter 2, even if minor:
-if you don't meet Onion in CH 1, he will not appear tomorrow.

So basically in chapter 1 Kris was typical Kris till the ending and in chapter 2 he begins slowly changing without his (true heart ? )and us who controls just makes it worse . Seems dope time to wait 15 years if toby keeps releasing chapters every 3 years
I hope noell is the secret or final boss of the next chapter
Kris could even have an act where he tells noell to stop and the battle immediately ends
