the small items you said were weights for glasses, are actually casters. you used them under legs of tables/chairs etc. stopped them sinking into carpets and leaving great dents.

I recognise several lifetimes of possessions here, things my parents bought or were given, they're in their 80s now & things their parents had & passed down to the next generation. I do hope the things were sorted & given to charity or sentimental items kept, I'd hate to think everything just rots away. Thanks for the explore, loved it.

What a great cottage. There were some very rare figurines there (trinkets you called them). The little cup things you turned one over and said they were to put glasses on, are actually for putting under the furnitue legs or wheels to stop them marking the floor/carpet or moving. Thanks for this and using a light in the kitchen.

The silver scallop dish on the stand that you asked about is actually a candy dish, but many also use them for holding butter. Very nice find. Super good of you to try and basically not disturb anything. Hope your partner put the cover back down on the microwave before he left. Once they start getting disturbed they kind of lose that time capsule quality. That was somebodies life! A wrinkle in time.

I remember when my old mother got dimentia and went into a home, no one in the family wanted to clear the house out and go through all her treasured possessions because it seemed like such an invasion of her privicy. I bet the same happened here. The owners have probably died and the place left to a son or daughter living in another country. They could have left it as it was for the same reason. Not everybody wants to cash in as soon as they are left something, especially if they are older and don't need the money..

As I see you pass by some of the antique items, I cringe thinking that they will be left behind to decay and eventually disappear. Wow what a find! It reminds me so much of my grandparents house when I visited as a young girl! They always had loads of brass things, a brass bed pan to heat up the bed before bedtime was a favourite thing of theirs I loved. Thanks for sharing xx

Such a shame about the state of the large clock on the wall. I bet it was beautiful when it was brand spanking new 👌

The bulbs in the bathroom cupboard give off heat, like farmers use to keep the lambs and calves warm

This is a little treasure. A lot of the cabinets look to be from the early 60's. A lot of people had lots of brass and copper ornaments in the 50's and 60's.

Wonderful little cottage. So many beautiful things. I'm so glad you found it before others found it and took all of the brass, china and crystal. Such a shame though that the the furniture was left to to mold. The clock and China cabinet with the etched glass where beautiful. Thank you for another great video.

Missed you saying “little bits and bobs” 🤣 although you came close to it a few times. Nice find! Very sad about the urn and ashes, you would think someone in the family would take at least that.
