      When I'm gone they will find a German Stradivarius copy violin made in 1866. Some periodicals like a 1909 Sears and Roebuck catalog. A fully functioning hundred and fifty year old wood cook stove that I still use relentlessly..... Along with endless other items. 🖤

    One of my favorite houses you've been to. This house had everything, retro wallpaper, beautiful art deco fireplace and that last bedroom was just perfect. I loved the old rose wallpaper, the antique furniture and the photos of the family. Great find Adam. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. I'm so happy that it hasn't been destroyed by vandals. I hope they never find this one. Can't wait until the next adventure. Thanks for two in one week. You're spoiling us!

    The first kitchen you went in had so much stuff exactly like my mum had. The blue plate. the metal teapot in the cupboard, the round shaped insulated teapot ( the one you said looked like a coconut liner) The tea tray, the tins in the cupboard.. When you went into the extension kitchen, there was my very first cooker, the good old Creda Horizon! It was a really good oven in it's day. Another great explore guys.

    25:52 OMG! That little red wooden "doll thing" right in front of the wedding photo is a "Knitting Nancy" I had one for Christmas in about 1972. You wind wool around the little metal pegs on her head and a knitted tube of wool comes out through the hollowed centre..you could then stitch the tubes together to make things. I mean, places frozen in time to an extent where the past actually lives in the present day. Love this. The Quality Street tin took me back to childhood Christmas in the 70s and 80s. Loads of teapots ... they liked a cuppa. Adam, your videos are created with great respect and compassion for the land, structures, objects and most importantly for the families who adored their homes and surroundings. This most recent video presented you with numerous historical artifics. Have you and your best team members (Lisa and Dale) considered searching for families (some sad stories I do think) for them to add to or enhance family trees? My best!

    • @magsbrowne9693
      @magsbrowne9693 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      That thought crossed my mind also, about trying to contact family members. There surely will be descendents still alive who would be interested in their family history and having all those photos. I enjoy these 'explores' but I have to say, I feel a bit uncomfortable about them reading personal things, letters and diaries etc. And some of the people in those wedding photos could be still alive or at least their children. This was once a happy family home with a load of history.

    I’m commenting before watching all this video, that armchair cover at the beginning, my late Mum put the exact same covers on the armchairs in our old farmhouse kitchen, we had a big old kitchen at the family farm here in Jersey Channel Islands, my late dad would nap in one and my late Grandfather in the other after our dinner, for 20 mins or so, the item in the old dresser looks to be an old magneto from an old tractor engine. Love your videos, been watching for a while but it’s the first time I’ve commented, brings back a lot of childhood memories though having grown up in the 60’s and 70’s, keep up the good work, all the best, Nick.

    Lovely house, especially the bedroom with the cot in it…still looks beautiful after years since a baby has slept in there!!! Looks like they’d just gone shopping+would be back home soon…!!! Enjoying your videos Adam…really interesting to see these far off places that we possibly wouldn’t see if is wasn’t for you showing them to us…well done for finding them+showing them to us!!! X❤️🙃

    My favourite quote of the day?!.... " Mad little trinkets " 😂😍
    This one is making me so happy/sad nostalgic. I grew up in the 70s and we always spent a lot of time at my Nan and Grandad's and I'm seeing so much stuff that they used to have in their house...right down to the stripy deck chairs. The Mermaid biscuit tin and the Quality Street. As you walk through, I can imagine all the sounds that would have once filled that home....the sounds of life, love, sadness and happiness. 😭😭😭💕💕💕

    Other half thinks the broken roof in the extension kitchen may have been asbestos?
    If it wasn't corrugated? Hope the two of you are ok. Great vlog as per usual. Love from Tracy and Ken.

    I've been watching your videos alot to a point I'm addicted lol but lately all I've been seeing is you walk around but no spirit talking I love listening to what comes through what would be nice is if you could get a medium to come with you ....would be lovely to hear more . I would love to try and find the people's relations cuz sometimes there is family still around as we all full out with members of family for one reason or another. And be great if a musisum in there area could display photos as its our history. Love your videos stay safe
