I dont even play MW2 2022 and I still enjoy watching these videos. crazy how one guy is doing more for showing what the actual weapon stats do than the multi billion dollar company.
I find it annoying how many people complain constantly about shotguns, but no one complains about the SP-R at all, it's just as quick to kill but at waaaaay longer ranges and is much more consistent, I'm pretty sure people think you don't actually need to aim or get a decent hit with shotguns to 1 shot, which while it's true in some games, this is definitely not one of those games... Like the SP-R's only drawback compared to a shotgun is that you have to hit upper torso so just shooting center mass won't kill if you happen to hit the lower torso, but that doesn't really make it take more skill than a shotgun to use. I do believe within 1m a shotgun will one shot someone in 6v6 if even a single pellet hits any part of their body, but most of the time in my experience that doesn't really make a difference. Now the Expedite being able to be spammed and getting one extra almost instant follow up shot on the lockwood gives it more of an advantage up close, but the Bryson's don't have that luxury. Honestly I don't really care what people use, but hearing people complain so much about one weapon type while ignoring specific weapons that are just as bad/worse makes me want to rant lol.
Something that I love about this gun is that you can give it the shortest barrel, stock, and anything else that shortens it and still kick everyone's ass in the lobby
I just discovered you about 2 weeks ago, and your breakdowns have made me significantly better. My KD has been slowly getting better and better whereas before it was always about even. All because I understand how to set up my guns how I want them now. I thought I understood it before but now I feel like everyone who hasn’t watched your videos is just guessing like I was. I see more people online using the SA-B but I much prefer the SP. You can still be a quick scoping maniac with it. It feels heavier than the SA-B in a good way. Model reminds me of the M40A3 from cod4

As someone who has put an unhealthy amount of time into MWII sniping, I can give you sights that I recommend the most for quickscoping and actual sniping that make it way more comfortable SZ bullseye, Lachmann impact 9, teplo op 3, DXS coriolis (MCPR only), SPR 6.6x (really any sniper is decent with this but it’s best on the victus)
Agreed. As soon as I end up in a super sweat lobby the stockless, short barrel sab has to come out. The only gun that guarantees I don't get bullshitted
@@thndr_5468 it's a different timing. The ADS being off by a little is enough to throw it all off. One game of Shipment and you should be calibrated. I thought the SA-B was inferior until I put some time in with it.
@@JordTheeNord If you use a sniper a sniper, you'll lose your target more easily by not staying scoped. You can lose track of it or just let it run away by adding more time between shots because of all the re-scoping

If you use the snipers for quickscoping, yeah, what you say works (in short ranges), but if you play in bigger maps or warzone, you don't need to move so much in between shots, and people tend to have slower handling snipers there. Still, scoping and rescoping can be slower, in some weapons, than just shooting non stop, and you can have very fast movement speed while ADS (without loosing an stable sight). So, this is a thing that depends on the weapon and the ranges at which the gunfight takes place.
I always have to put a sight on the gun as I can never figure out where to aim with it, so I use a sight which slows the ADS just a bit but so worth it when you need to just sit back and reset a bit.

I do agree. Not sure why we couldn't just have 1 spr marksman rifle and 1 spr sniper. The SA-B stock and ammo could be attachments for the spr and the SP-X stock could be an attachment for the LA-B. I think it's weird too how the spr and SA-B have 7.62 nato and .308 as separate ammo types when irl they are basically the same thing.
The HDR isn’t a real gun and we don’t need the Rytec AMR (Barrett XM109) since we already have the Signal 50. Otherwise I agree with you that we should have had smth else instead of the SA-B 50. Idk why we need that. We don’t. Maybe not the Kar98k again but a different sniper like you mentioned. The SPX-80 (MSR from MW3) is fine though. It is similar irl to the SP-R 208, but that’s fine. @@bobdarrick2628 The SA-B 50 is just another R700. In MW2019, the stock on the SA-B in this game was just an attachment for the spr. The SPX-80 is actually the M2010 ESR, which looks similar to the MSR, but it's just an R700 in .300 win mag in a modern chassis. The LA-B is kind of weird. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be the M24 (military sniper R700) but from what I've read it was never chambered in .300 win mag outside of an experimental variant that was never adopted. Either way we basically have 2 marksman R700s and 2 sniper R700s when we could have just had one of each and had something fill one of the slots in each category.
i tried out every snipe and weirdly at first try i didnt like the victus but i tuned it for speed and now its my favourite sniper. Its just so freakin strong, it feels like if you hit anywhere the enemy is done.
Even without tuning, the Victus is just extremely fun. Feels like you're hurling a semi truck at the enemy player each time, especially with the sound lol
Thanks for the showing the kill zones. I use this and have got shots in first and still got put down. Obviously I missed the zone with my shot. I figured that was the reason I lost but wasn’t sure. Now I know thanks. Very helpful for sure.

The SP-R 208 is a beast of a rifle for sure, but the SA-B is the real speed demon. However, the SP-R 208 does seem to more reliably land those one-shot kills.
I’ve been using the SPR 208 since launch day it was my favorite marksman rifle in mw2019 and that hasn’t changed in mw2 still remains my medium to long range bolt action rifle almost always a 1 shot kill
I feel like the SP-R is a bolt-action MK2 in this game. If people wanna get follow up one shot kills, the ST87 bolt attachment is a must have for those who either wanna quickscope for gold or snipe at long range for platinum. Overall, anyone can find success with the SP-R.
@@tislukey4289 don’t be afraid of the meta I guess. But the meta for SMGs are Vaznev 9k, MP5 and Fennec 45. But you can do well and enjoy yourself when using the P90 for sure. Even the MP7 or FSS Hurricane. So the meta doesn’t always matter.
This gun and others like it are pretty broken because of flinch. I just recently got them all plat and can tell you this is one of the easiest guns to use in the game and is not fair if you don't already know the user is there. They will almost always win a 50/50.
@@kylerussell6 The lack of flinch makes it broken, and no impact of recoil makes it broken. The gun should have one, not both. If you're not able to hit someone in that chest within 60m in 2023 then you've been hacking too long. It's not like when I was a kid and they didn't put proper recoil on guns because people could hardly aim as it is. very average players can quick scope 1 shot with this gun (coming from a very average to below average player) or simply hold corners like the game is designed around.
the SPR-208 for me is a blend of rushing and sniping , also with SAB-50 (probably pronouncing wrong) when sniping there is a sudden jerk or jump when firing immediately or in general and maybe its just me
Don’t know about consoles, but this thing is such easy mode on PC. Through leveling up all the weapons it really made clear to me just how BS snipers and bolt action DMRs are, turns the game int a point and click adventure game.
Nice video! I was trying to get a decent build on this myself, wasn't sure which attachments would be more beneficial. A problem I always encounter with marksman rifles is which scope I should pick. I want a clear, non obstructive scope that I can see through well, yet also one that doesn't take ages to zoom in, and doesn't give your position away. Which means I'm stuck with very small/small or at max medium scope glint. A big scope glint does hide your body from enemy snipers, but you can headshot them if you aim at the scope glint. I'm curious about the MK2 Lockwood (Winchester Repeater or something like that) and also curious about the gun guide for shotguns. Shotguns have a lot of versatility and can be quite punishing in 6v6 when you cut the stock and barrel length in half.
@@LifeisYee it's probably because people tend to fight on-level with each other and their head heights are the same so their crosshairs naturally rest around head and shoulders height
i love how hold breath has always been push on your stick because i natural do it everytime i go for shots and forget if im holding it too long 😭😭 (sucks when i use dual scopes tho like the angel and accidentally swap mid shot)
Here are my ideas on how to NERF the SP-R 1) Force it to have a default scope on it 2) Make it lose its OHKZ beyond 50m 3) Decrease its ROF, increase its ReChamber time, increase its ADS time and increase its sprintout times
I would love to see a video on weapon fov. It seems to me once you ads the optic covers half the screen. When you don't ads it looks just fine. Or it's just the way my eyes are lol
The SP R is fun... but the SA B and MK2 are way more fun cause they're both a lot faster than the SP R. SA B with no stock the shortest barrel the ads rear grip a sniper scope and the faster rechamber speed is by far my favorite "sniper" in the game. With an MK2 secondary built the same way except with the ads lazer
my main issue with the sniper/marksman weapons is that they feel too easy to use in this installment. There's 0 skill actually involved, it feels like you're just clicking on people and they die.
It makes the "actual snipers" just good at WZ where you shoot so far away. Even Ground War doesn't need the Signal or the big snipers most of the time.
@@nijego right and these things suck at long range lol. Snipers are a 1SK out wayyy longer. Try sniping at 300 meters with the spr. It's just not as good as the MCPR or Signal
@Nijego That's fair. I've always been bad with any sniping at all in COD so a lot of them are similar experiences for me. When my friends and I played WZ1, I was the only one always bringing an RPG to not use Overkill or if I was I used an FAL with a SMG like the MP5. That was an amazing class, perfect for solos. I liked running just an AR or LMG with an RPG and not worry about Overkill unless we got lucky with cash or got a free drop by chance. All my buddies sniped and I DMR'd at most because I could never get used to the bullet speeds and drops. I level all the bolt guns with the fastest builds I can in Shoot the Ship and proceed to not use them much ever again lmao
the canted laser is 23ms slower to ADS than t he FSS OLEV but you get a very clear sight picture when you ads, any reason you prefer the iron sights? does that extra 23ms feel like a big difference?

Ok, fair that a shotgun has a wider range and all that but throw slugs on that and one shot someone after ADSing quickly and shout "QUICK SCOPE!" That's like... the samething... That being said, I do appreciate the information and recommendations. I haven't really... found my place yet... I've seen great success with the SPR-208 and KV-Inhibitor... but also the SVA-545... I dunno yet.
I know it was dominating the game for a while but, that OHK area is pretty small. I guess players have good aim. The godly aim-assist helps a lot as well.
Once you use it for a bit, it gets easier. The aim assist encourages slamming left trigger right trigger, so all you need for most kills is "centering" near the enemy.
@@eagle25311 This sounds like a cross platform problem and eSports concern more that the fault of console controllers. I have a PC and a PS5 for different games. Controller vs controller is competitive and works just fine.
On console, that re-chambering accuracy really hurts running around quick scoping (even iron sights) I don't know why, but taking a shot quickly after firing another, just sucks Miss way more
Do any of the optics with slightly different zooms change aim down sight speed? I swear they feel a tiny bit slower if they zoom in even just a bit more

Fr bro but I mean you can't really blame him tho because it is technically the fastest ads my man XA here was just trying to help average players to use the weapon and even then ppl are gonna hold corners and hardscoping more often than not since that's what the game encourages you to do. But yeah it doesn't feel like a fair fight when confronting someone building it like a bolt action pistol, it's just inherently cheaper and cheesier than using an actual sniper scope and it takes away the skill factor that quickscoping demands
is there any reason not to add the sharkfin underbarrel (I think that's that name), which claims to only add idle aim stability with no downsides? Or the laser that adds only ads speed with the only downside being a blue laser?

Not sure if there's a way to measure Aim Assist, but this and the SA-B both seem to have AA through the roof when running iron sites. Or even a red dot or VLK. I can't stand seeing people run these 2 guns with anything less than a 5.5x or so sight. It's too easy and I wish they'd nerf it.
This gun forced me to become a sniper player. I’ve always been a sniper hater in cod and fps in general but in mw2 you can’t beat them so you might as well join them
Use any shotgun from the 800 family along with the longest barrel you can use with them along with a choke, and you can beat them easily, no need to ADS
i really liked this gun and the SA B-50 i had so much run running around with it . high reward gun . but miss and you're dead most of the time . i think once im done camo grinding, i'll be going back to them.

It's more for following up on a long range shot where you want to keep your sights on your target.

I feel like the SP-R is a bolt-action MK2 in this game. If people wanna get follow up one shot kills, the ST87 bolt attachment is a must have for those who either wanna quickscope for gold or snipe at long range for platinum. Overall, anyone can find success with the SP-R.

@@tislukey4289 don’t be afraid of the meta I guess. But the meta for SMGs are Vaznev 9k, MP5 and Fennec 45. But you can do well and enjoy yourself when using the P90 for sure. Even the MP7 or FSS Hurricane. So the meta doesn’t always matter.
I use it as a light sniper on those maps where you wanna use a sniper but it leaves you too vulnerable to use an actual sniper
This gun and others like it are pretty broken because of flinch. I just recently got them all plat and can tell you this is one of the easiest guns to use in the game and is not fair if you don't already know the user is there. They will almost always win a 50/50.
It’s only a one shot kill to head upper chest shoulder. There’s clearly a skill gap. It’s not broken
@@kylerussell6 The lack of flinch makes it broken, and no impact of recoil makes it broken. The gun should have one, not both. If you're not able to hit someone in that chest within 60m in 2023 then you've been hacking too long. It's not like when I was a kid and they didn't put proper recoil on guns because people could hardly aim as it is. very average players can quick scope 1 shot with this gun (coming from a very average to below average player) or simply hold corners like the game is designed around.
the SPR-208 for me is a blend of rushing and sniping , also with SAB-50 (probably pronouncing wrong) when sniping there is a sudden jerk or jump when firing immediately or in general and maybe its just me

Don’t know about consoles, but this thing is such easy mode on PC. Through leveling up all the weapons it really made clear to me just how BS snipers and bolt action DMRs are, turns the game int a point and click adventure game.

Nice video! I was trying to get a decent build on this myself, wasn't sure which attachments would be more beneficial. A problem I always encounter with marksman rifles is which scope I should pick. I want a clear, non obstructive scope that I can see through well, yet also one that doesn't take ages to zoom in, and doesn't give your position away. Which means I'm stuck with very small/small or at max medium scope glint. A big scope glint does hide your body from enemy snipers, but you can headshot them if you aim at the scope glint.
I'm curious about the MK2 Lockwood (Winchester Repeater or something like that) and also curious about the gun guide for shotguns. Shotguns have a lot of versatility and can be quite punishing in 6v6 when you cut the stock and barrel length in half.

For some reason, people tend to hit the shoulders a lot more than they would think with snipers. I’m not sure why this happens though.
@@LifeisYee it's probably because people tend to fight on-level with each other and their head heights are the same so their crosshairs naturally rest around head and shoulders height
i love how hold breath has always been push on your stick because i natural do it everytime i go for shots and forget if im holding it too long 😭😭 (sucks when i use dual scopes tho like the angel and accidentally swap mid shot)
Here are my ideas on how to NERF the SP-R
1) Force it to have a default scope on it
2) Make it lose its OHKZ beyond 50m
3) Decrease its ROF, increase its ReChamber time, increase its ADS time and increase its sprintout times
I would love to see a video on weapon fov. It seems to me once you ads the optic covers half the screen. When you don't ads it looks just fine. Or it's just the way my eyes are lol

The SP R is fun... but the SA B and MK2 are way more fun cause they're both a lot faster than the SP R. SA B with no stock the shortest barrel the ads rear grip a sniper scope and the faster rechamber speed is by far my favorite "sniper" in the game. With an MK2 secondary built the same way except with the ads lazer

my main issue with the sniper/marksman weapons is that they feel too easy to use in this installment. There's 0 skill actually involved, it feels like you're just clicking on people and they die.

It makes the "actual snipers" just good at WZ where you shoot so far away. Even Ground War doesn't need the Signal or the big snipers most of the time.
I wouldn't say that, the SPX or MCPR can still Quickscope and give less hitmarkers.
@@nijego right and these things suck at long range lol. Snipers are a 1SK out wayyy longer. Try sniping at 300 meters with the spr. It's just not as good as the MCPR or Signal

@Nijego That's fair. I've always been bad with any sniping at all in COD so a lot of them are similar experiences for me. When my friends and I played WZ1, I was the only one always bringing an RPG to not use Overkill or if I was I used an FAL with a SMG like the MP5. That was an amazing class, perfect for solos. I liked running just an AR or LMG with an RPG and not worry about Overkill unless we got lucky with cash or got a free drop by chance.
All my buddies sniped and I DMR'd at most because I could never get used to the bullet speeds and drops. I level all the bolt guns with the fastest builds I can in Shoot the Ship and proceed to not use them much ever again lmao

the canted laser is 23ms slower to ADS than t he FSS OLEV but you get a very clear sight picture when you ads, any reason you prefer the iron sights? does that extra 23ms feel like a big difference?
A shame they never added the 3.38 lapua mags for more of a damage boost

Ok, fair that a shotgun has a wider range and all that but throw slugs on that and one shot someone after ADSing quickly and shout "QUICK SCOPE!" That's like... the samething...
That being said, I do appreciate the information and recommendations. I haven't really... found my place yet... I've seen great success with the SPR-208 and KV-Inhibitor... but also the SVA-545... I dunno yet.

I find the spr a lot more consistent than the sab 50 with the hit markers
I know it was dominating the game for a while but, that OHK area is pretty small. I guess players have good aim. The godly aim-assist helps a lot as well.
Once you use it for a bit, it gets easier. The aim assist encourages slamming left trigger right trigger, so all you need for most kills is "centering" near the enemy.
Mouse and keyboard is superior that's why they had to add aim assist so consoles could be competitive

I have a PC and a PS5 for different games. Controller vs controller is competitive and works just fine.
When my enemies using this rifle: 1 hit, 1 kill quickscope supergun.
When i'm using it: 1 month to ADS hitmarker machine.

Do any of the optics with slightly different zooms change aim down sight speed? I swear they feel a tiny bit slower if they zoom in even just a bit more
all optics decrease ads speed (unless it’s a sniper rifle w/ a lower powered scope, then it’s an increase) & higher zoom optics have harsher penalties

How is it a quick scope build if it doesn’t have a scope? It’s annoying how many people run around using iron sights and think they’re a great ‘sniper’.
Fr bro but I mean you can't really blame him tho because it is technically the fastest ads my man XA here was just trying to help average players to use the weapon and even then ppl are gonna hold corners and hardscoping more often than not since that's what the game encourages you to do. But yeah it doesn't feel like a fair fight when confronting someone building it like a bolt action pistol, it's just inherently cheaper and cheesier than using an actual sniper scope and it takes away the skill factor that quickscoping demands

Not sure if there's a way to measure Aim Assist, but this and the SA-B both seem to have AA through the roof when running iron sites. Or even a red dot or VLK. I can't stand seeing people run these 2 guns with anything less than a 5.5x or so sight. It's too easy and I wish they'd nerf it.

Use any shotgun from the 800 family along with the longest barrel you can use with them along with a choke, and you can beat them easily, no need to ADS

i really liked this gun and the SA B-50 i had so much run running around with it . high reward gun . but miss and you're dead most of the time . i think once im done camo grinding, i'll be going back to them.
I try and stay away from marksman rifles and stick to traditional snipers typically because the marksman rifles are easy to use and not satisfying.
