Israel is not standing with God. Jeremiah, Isaiah, and Ezekiel all show God consistently saying that He will come against Judah for rejecting Him. And no, these books are not just ancient history. They are _end-time_ books. God saying He will not abandon them doesn't mean He will never correct them for their rebellion. He's done it plenty of times before in 1 and 2 Kings, and He will do so again in the near future.

Did he ever answer the question of whether or not America could turn this around? Hanson also said he wasn't sure if America is in decline. Well, I'm just a nobody, but I believe America is in decline and nothing short of America repenting could turn it around and I don't see that happening. That said I subscribe to Hanson channel and have much respect for him.
