- Lenovo Thinkpad P1 is a beast with a slim body and carbon fiber case. If you are wondering if you should buy this machine or not, this video can be useful to give you a bunch of information about it. ;)
I hope I can help you with this video.
I would really appreciate if you want to support me: / techzact

This is the first one I seen with the French keyboard. I am considering a sale french unit at a very good price and wanted to see the keyboard. Seems ok. Thanks
It has Hungarian keyboard layout.
@@techzact thanks for the update. Otherwise it a great laptop
@@richardgilmore5607 You are welcome. I think that, too.
New to the challenge and it's the best one I've found. Am not sure what to buy and would like to know your guys opinion. thinkpad p1 gen 2 15':
-Intel® Core™ i7-9750H (2.60GHz, up to 4.50GHz with Turbo Boost, 6 Cores, 12MB Cache)
-16GB DDR4 2666MHz
-256GB Solid State Drive PCIe-NVME OPAL2.0 M.2
-NVIDIA Quadro T1000 4GB
El macbook pro 13' :
-1.7GHz quad‑core 8th‑generation Intel Core i7 processor, Turbo Boost up to 4.5GHz
-16GB 2133MHz LPDDR3 memory
-256GB SSD storage
It's up to what are you going to use it for? If you are a software developer, then the MacBook is the better choice, or if you like the macOS, and the user friendly setup, but if you want to play games, then I prefer the ThinkPad.
The touch pad is small to not interfere with the TrackPoint.
Yeah, maybe you're right :)
This is the most Honest Review of this
I also own the exact same but put another 16GB 2666mhz dimm in it
The Brightness is not a problem
I cant stress that enuff!
Thermals are also great
Hey! Thanks for the comment. I think the thermals could be better, but that's all. :)
Brightness is good, I think that too.
Any problems to update to the latest windows 10 compilation?
I haven't tried it, so I cannot answer your question, sorry.
@@techzact ok alredy buy my P1 and make all the updates with no problems.
Is this the second gen?
Sadly no. It’s the 1st gen.
looks like the first gen, the cpu is 8th gen.
The touchpad is in the right size. ThinkPads are real thinkers and professionals not foe snobs...
Yeah, maybe it's the right size, but it hasn't got the right mechanics. If it has, it'd be OK.
@@techzact Mechanics is a broad term. I have been using a Mac for the past four years with a mouse, and ThinkPad for the past 16 years without a mouse. ThinkPad is my primary laptop, and for snob value I use Mac (only for first time Director Level Meetings to show I am rich) the latest ThinkPad is P1 gen2 9880H, .. i didn't find any mechanical problems... So far...
To show I’m rich 😅 maybe the gen 2 has better touchpad, but the gen 1’s is terrible.
@@techzact Using P1 Gen2, i9-9880H, T2000/ 64gb/4tb/2160-nontouch- Dolby/ & my prime unit.. for ANN biomedical Programming..
Don't want to be harsh or anything, but in a notebook review I don't want to see your face that much.
Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it. :)
