Exploring China. What China is like during Spring festival in Yuxian county

30th January 2025. Drive through magnificent mountainous scenery to Nuanquan Ancient fortress Town in Yuxian County in the province of Hebei. The town boasts castle, Taoist’ temple, opera house and folk house and is a unique and well preserved example of early Ming dynasty life. ,The purpose was to see the forging Iron Flowers Fireworks show and along the way we engaged in the traditions of fireworks as well as exploring the sights of this ancient town from temples, eating lunch on a kang, stumbling upon a derelict dye house to staying in an authentic courtyard home.
