Hi! Awesome content. Just wondering how the follower is supposed to know to put her arms around the shoulder of the leader in the shadow dip. I feel like you do it because you know what is coming, not because he is leading it. Is the leader just supposed to put your arms there? In a social dance? Just curious 😄
Hello guys. I just found your channel. You rock! Top quality, thank you so much. I hope to meet someday. Till then, stay as awesome as you already are.
The first preparation is very similar (bolero, breathing in), but instead of breathing out and releasing the follower to the back (which would cause the follower to do the body wave), you keep the follower up and you bring her slowly towards you (so, keep her in Bolero and bring her slowly towards you)
@@RobertoyMagdalena Ok thanks for the quick answer ! So I guess I didn't understand well the body wave, maybe ? In my mind for the big body wave : 8 - Bolero + push the follower's upper-back backward 1 - *Pull* the follower's upper-back forward and downward 2 - Raise elbows and release pull force. So are you telling me that for the body wave, I shouldn't pull the follower's upper-back on 1 ? Or does the difference between the Lean-In and big body wave only appears on the 2 ? Thanks in advance.
@@RobertoyMagdalena BTW for context, sometimes when I want to initiate a Body Wave the follower starts to do a Lean-In instead. So I'm trying to figure out the way to make it clear for the follower if it's gonna be a Body Wave or a Lean-In :)
Happy to help! The body wave would be: 8 - Bolero + small preparation of the follower’s upper back backwards (this happens by opening your arms’ frame) 1 - close your frame and go up, this causes the follower to come towards you and start the body wave 2/3 - Release the follower backwards by opening your frame diagonally down and backwards and giving the impulse in that direction 4 - You both sit For the lean in: 8 - Same 1 - Same, except that normally you are controlling the weight of the follower a little bit more 2/3/4 - Instead of releasing the follower backwards, you keep bringing her towards you. When you do this, the follower really understands that her is always staying on the front. So she would continue the beginning of the body wave by transferring the energy from the chest to her hips, and at the end she would have contact with your leg and her hips (and the upper body stays without contact). Hope that helps and I didn’t write it too confusing! 😊 we might do a video stating the difference in leading this types of moves, we just need to think of a good title for the video! :)
@@RobertoyMagdalena Ok thanks for the thorough answer, I think I get it now :) And yes, I think it's a good idea to make a video about this, not only to explain the differences between the two, but also to help better understand each move (and its subtleties) on its own. Seeing the contrast between the two helps understand each move individually in a deeper way (especially what happens on count 2). Here's a suggestion for the thumbnail caption : "Don't confuse these ! (she will thank you)" And for the title maybe something like "Clearer Leading for Sensual Bachata Body Wave and Lean-In" Keep up the good work !

How do you prepare and signal the Lean-In compared to the big body wave ? Seems very similar.

The body wave would be:
8 - Bolero + small preparation of the follower’s upper back backwards (this happens by opening your arms’ frame)
1 - close your frame and go up, this causes the follower to come towards you and start the body wave
2/3 - Release the follower backwards by opening your frame diagonally down and backwards and giving the impulse in that direction
4 - You both sit
For the lean in:
8 - Same
1 - Same, except that normally you are controlling the weight of the follower a little bit more
2/3/4 - Instead of releasing the follower backwards, you keep bringing her towards you. When you do this, the follower really understands that her is always staying on the front. So she would continue the beginning of the body wave by transferring the energy from the chest to her hips, and at the end she would have contact with your leg and her hips (and the upper body stays without contact).
