    Connecting the hip with the dance partner also allows a counter the momentum caused by the upper body + being close also leads to a short lever arm of force. Especially tall women should make sure they counter well.

    Ironically, I have had 100% success doing Cambrès at socials while my closed position side waves are barely accurate.
    This video is super helpful. Thank you! As long as you prepare for cambrè by moving her shoulder down, and don’t let her fall by providing strong grip on her shoulders, it’s really easy to do this move.

      It always happens that some moves are more difficult to lead than others 😊

    A dance mate that was 1year in Barcelona told me, to lead this move fully out of my chest while arms and legs shoulders stay stable to give the frame. Now I am confused

    Thank you guys! And what about cambre in the open position, holding the arms? Is the technic the same?

    • @RobertoyMagdalena
      @RobertoyMagdalena  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly the same technique! It’s just a bit more difficult because in that case there needs to be a lot more tension in the arms so that the body reacts to the leading. We might do a video soon! 😊

    • @RobertoyMagdalena
      @RobertoyMagdalena  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! They are from Manuel Reina. Unfortunately we don’t have a discount code 🙁 we do use other shoes that we love, they are from Fuego. Check them out and if you like them you can get a discount with the code RM10 :)

    Nice video, but it makes some confusion about cambré and headroll which are different things. Maybe you want to state that and make it clear. Saludos

    • @RobertoyMagdalena
      @RobertoyMagdalena  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good idea! We will see if we make a video stating the differences.
      The head roll and the cambré are very similar, the body movement is pretty much the same, the difference is that the body movement of the head roll is a lot smaller and there is more emphasis in the head (and the leader’s hand). Saludos!!

    Is there another variation to this move where you bend the knees or "sit" as a prep before doing the Cambre? or is that another move completely?

    • @RobertoyMagdalena
      @RobertoyMagdalena  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there! At the moment we cannot think of a cambré that is done from the sitting position
