The terrains they don’t like is sand and super fine dust the only time I’ve been bogged is when driving in sand I’ve never had problems on my vehicle in sand before but only now with these tyres. The bull dust in Australia is bad and catches every tyre manufacturer out but these especially love to dig and in the mud that’s a positive on the dirt that’s a must it digs and bite in and gets good traction but sand and dust it digs deep and gets stuck As far as the tyre goes they are an expensive tyre that’s why I got them to see what bang for buck I got and they were certainly good if you do off road driving. My next tire. Was gonna get the BG G KM3 but too expensive so I’ll go with these instead
Nice
Great video! super informative, I just ordered a set.
Yokohama has a truck tire manufacturing plant in West Point Mississippi. IMO they are much quieter on the road than most MT tires
Got it
I’m going to get a set of 35s for my F-150. Cant wait
Awesome, keep me posted!
Agreed
What tire pressures did you keep them at on your f150?
Would love to see a review of another MT, the Maxxis Bighorn 762. Do you have any thoughts on that tire?
Matt Great Review 👍 👍🇺🇸
Thanks The Vermonter
Thanks for watching!
Obrigado. Cumprimentos direto da Amazônia.
Great video as always and I remember your shop when I was in BBurg (go Hokies!) for grad school. Question though... @ 1:50, the siping only looks to be about 1/16" (or less) deep... is this the case? I'm considering putting these in 35x1250x17 on RRW RR7-H's on my overland/mid-travel silverado build but am curious how long the siping will actually last. If they're as shallow as they look, it's hard to call it a "feature" if it doesn't last the life of the tire.
I liked the old geolander Mt+. If this is a huge improvement over them I will be very impressed.
I like them too.
I appreciate all your videos. I'd like to see you do one on the Kumho Road Venture AT 51
Great suggestion!
Solid review.
Thanks!
Im thinking of buying KM3s for my off roading only 4runner. But these Geolandar tires $100 cheaper per tire. I need a dependable tire thats going to be aired down most of the time. The terrain is usually gravel roads, rocky shelf roads and mud. Should I buy these Geolandars?
Exactly the info I needed.
Thanks for watching!
Gotta do one on kenda rts. It’s on the up and up. Along with venom xt both are excelling in the markets
I will check them out.
Please review the Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015.
Got it.
I have a tacoma what do you think would be better for on and off road the Yokohama mt or the general grabber x3. Great vids btw keep up the good work!
Both! Pick the one you like better.
LT255 75R 17 fit nicely under my Tacoma
Great video brother!!!! Would you pick this or the newer Hankook MT?
Either one. This Yokohama is more aggressive.
Hey Matt thanks for another great review! Looking for tires for my lifted 4 runner was eyeing the Geolander MT, Maxis Razr, or the KM3 I do a lot of high miles but like everyone really love the look of the aggressive tire. (Any other suggestion are welcome)
If you want mileage, go with the KM3.
Thanks for the response!
@@CampusautoCo Hey Matt, love your vids! Ok, so KM3 or Dynapro MT2?
(Drum roll please....)
I run these on my Jeep (285 70 17), very happy so far
Awesome. Keep me posted.
How have yours held up? Thinking about getting some for my jeep. Do you do any trails, rocks, or mud?
Great video from thailand dude
Agree with Try It! Those would be perfect for a jeep and I could see getting alot of miles out of them! Would these be up with the BFG K02's?
I doubt they would last as long as the BFG just because of the more aggressive tread patter.
@@CampusautoCo ko2 tread depth isn't very good though. I currently have 275/70r17 Bfgoodrich ko2 tomorrow putting on 295-70r17 Yokohama G003's... Huge difference in depths.
The k02s are much worse off-road but last longer
so which way should the front be in regards to the sidewall tread pattern? is the tire facing the camera in forward position? I saw a guy have the left side of his truck with the sidewall tread facing aopposite direction of the right side.
So the sipping makes it so it’s better in snow. So be suitable for like winter.
I think it would be good. Particularly in deep snow.
Definitely getting these on my Taco. Do they have 295/70r17?
www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Yokohama&tireModel=Geolandar+M%2FT+G003&partnum=97QR7G003
I have a set of 290/70R17 on my 2020 Ranger, they're awesome thus far. I recommend lower tire pressure, 28psi has been good bc they're quite abusive at higher tire pressures like most E load on mid size trucks.
So I have Toyo AT 2 xtreme in 35x1250x18....Do you think my mpgs will suffer alot by switching to the Geolander m/t s in the same size 35x1250x18?
Thanks ....Excellent video👍
Probably not much on a tire that big.
@@CampusautoCo Thanks....one more question...Would they be bad if I spend 90% of my driving on the highway?.....I won't heat them up and have a blowout?
Thanks again
@@stever4651 No, I don't think so.
@@CampusautoCo Thank you so much for your help👍
I have a mega cab ram that I'm thinking about putting these on. Will they still wear ok under high pressure? I dont haul a lot but I still keep recommend pressure in tires.
The wont feel as good as a set of all terrains.
I have been Duratrac in Tundra but I would to try this yokohama geolandar in my Lexus Lx470 27570R18
I have these now on a Titan XD pro4x and happy with them but is there an MT you’d recommend over these for wear ?
Maybe a BF Goodrich KM3
Well I think I just found the tire I’m upgrading my Tacoma to. I need just a little more than the BFG KO2 can give me in mud but want good snow performance and decent on road manners. And I like they make it in 275-70r17 because my 285-70s are just a little too wide for me
Awesome. Good luck!
I only can find 265 and 285 in the 17’s. Where are y’all seeing the 275??
@@jonathanmcdaniel332 he stated they made them in a 275 but looking online I’m in the same boat you are, everything is 265 or 285. I’ve been meaning to call my tire shop and see if they can get the 275. Might have to make road trip to campus auto lol
@@beardoggin8963 yeah I’m on ridge grappler 295/70/17 now. I’m not sure if I’d like the look of the 255/70/17 but love the weight drop. So I’m 255 or 285 debating now ??? Would love to know if a 275 is out there in a 17
@@jonathanmcdaniel332 Im torn as well I hate to lose all the height of my 285s if I went to 265s. But I want something slightly shorter and a little narrower. I guess I might have to call these guys lol
The open spaces between the block are too wide. Otherwise a good tyre, and good lookin.
Any issues getting general atx balanced?
Can I still use these for daily payment and weekend offroad
Geolander xat vs Grabber ATX which would you pick?
Grabber ATX
Yokohama G003 or Dynapro MT2, which would you choose?
Yokohama
Have you reviewed the G015?
Not by itself.
Why is it always jeeps? Ive outclimbed jeeps both on my 2015 Nissan xterra and 1994 Nissa Pathfinder with no heavy mods, just plain ole 3 inch lift on the Xterra and 6 inch on the pathy with Yokohama geolanders on both, now my D21 outclimbed a jeep also and the jeep broke an axle. Havent tried to outclimb a Toyota 4Runner yet but this summer it might happen
These came on my f150 here to tell you these are some serious rubber not my cup of tea I like all terrain can you review The Michelin At2 ?
I'll take a look at the Michelin. I was kind of waiting because the AT2 is due for an update.
@@fordmech7913 What tire pressure are you running for on road use?
@@donaldlavigne949 I was running as low as 30 psi still uncomfortable So I had made the decision to just go ahead and go with the michelin defender MS and I couldn't be happier
Kaizen (continuous improvement in Japanese) 🤙🏼
Yes
Had these on my rig for 65k miles
They look like slicks now
Towkeeyooooo. You guys talk funny back east.
Lol. It’s an Appalachian Dialect!
Yokohama or Honkook MT2 is a better choice ?
I like the Yokohama better.
How about use on a 2019 tacoma, I'd rather have a c load but trail grappler is 8 pounds or so heavier per tire 285 70 17
This would be a good choice too.
Km3, cooper sst pro or mt G003?
Can i have this tire on a 16 inch wheels?
How is the road noise on this vs km3?
A little louder.
Buckshot has a tire that looks just the same, but cheaper!!!
Yes they do.
Looks like bloody Toyo MT mate
Correct
Nokian rockproof
Really?
Why not..are they crap.. so many tires out there its insane 🙈🤜🤛❤
RAV4 fit😆
Review maxxis vs mickeythompson
I need to get some Maxxis. I don't have a supplier for Maxxis yet.
sipes are very shallow
I see that. Good catch.
