If you’re planning on visiting the park I highly recommend checking out the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary literally next-door. As Taylor mentioned in the video there’s not a whole lot to do in the area but this is definitely some thing worth visiting if you find yourself taking a few rides on Zippin Pippin then asking yourself “OK what now”.

As someone who grew up in Green Bay, I’ve been going there since the 60’s. Up until the mid 80’s, all rides were just 10 cents, including bumper cars, Ferris wheel, merry go round, live horse rides, and a train, just to name a few. There was a huge pavilion where the bumper car ride was, but in addition, there was a section where food was served and it had about 50 old time pinball machines. Back in the 50’s, many dances were held there as well. It was a huge part of my childhood. Thanks for the video.
It's good to know that the rides are well maintained unlike some traveling carnivals. I've been there several times when I was younger. Great family atmosphere.
As a Wisconsin native it's the first stop on our annual summer vacation up to Door County. We get a break from the drive and ride the Zippin Pippin, eat some lunch, go on the big slide and the swings and meet up with the rest of the large group that is joining us. It's a nice little park to spend a few hours in.
zippin pippin was my first real coaster credit, having ridden it when i was only 7 years old. i have family in green bay so on vacation there, they suggested a visit to the park as a day trip. now its crazy to think that one little ride cemented years of being interested in rollercoasters!
I think it would be cool if more little Parks like this showed up in towns.

If you’re going to a Packers game in Green Bay, 100% worth a visit if it’s open
That’s exactly what I did in August of 2019 after a Lambeau Field Tour. It was right on the way to Milwaukee (our hotel) and it is one of the most out of the way credits ever so I went there and spent 40 mins in line for zippin pippin front row.
Bay Beach is a really charming park. I'm pretty sure it's mostly to captivate that "old vintage park" park feeling and thats what I love so much about it. Really hoping the city will invest further and add more thrill rides.

Meanwhile you've got smaller or similar size places charging $5-8+ to ride a crummy sbf Visa coaster. With or without holiday discount prices included. Meanwhile I wouldn't think twice if any had zippin pippin and charged basically the same or let's say $5 or included in like a $25-30 day pass/wristband.
I go to school in Green Bay and my friends and I will come here after classes some days and go on some rides to decompress. We literally just pitch in a few dollars each for tickets and we’re set for the day. It’s a great park for how small it is!
I'm so glad I went here as part of my holiwood nights trip in 2021. I wish I spent more time here rather than going to mt Olympus afterwards.
I grew up just a half-hour away from Bay Beach and I remember having some of the best times with my family there. Zippin Pippin is what got me excited about coasters, now I'm what you might call a coster addict 😂. I remember my first time rising SF-GAM for the first time, it was like Disney World since this place is all I ever knew. Also, as a side note, there's a wildlife sanctuary at the park which is actually really cool. In fact, most schools in this part of the state run field trips to the sanctuary and the park, it's remarkably common to see the place packed with students in the spring.
Zippin Pippin was my first coaster when it was at Libertyland in Memphis. It had buzz bars.
This reminds me of the city park in Guelph, Ontario. There isn’t a roller coaster there but they are very capable of adding one.
I took my niece there for her birthday and we had a blast. I spent 40 dollars on tickets and we rode every ride at least 6 times. It was cheap and so much fun!
What's crazy is the tickets never expire. My grandparents always had tons of tickets stashed up for us and I still use ones that are 10+ years old today... It's literally just like a park, you go do what you want, when you want. It's so different from any other amusement park.
You hit the visiting Lambeau Field right on the head 👌🏼 We stopped at Bay Beach to ride Zippin Pippin several years ago while in town. Quite a drive out to nowhere but such an unexpected coaster at the time

This was a park that I always went to when I visited my younger cousin, and I vividly remember trying to get her to go on Zippin' Pippin with me. I think I may still have nightmares of the last "deathjector" hill.
Used to work there, just like everyone in Green Bay in their teens. It was a hell of a fun time :D
Green Bay is most known for the packers , when you venture outside of football you see it's a beautiful place with way more to do and offer then one might think.
I'm from just outside Philly in PA but all of extended family lives literally 15 min from bay beach... ive ridden zippin pippin a few times and it's TOTALLY worth the side trip
I really thought it was a nice little park. It HEAVILY reminded me of Coney Island Cincinnati before they tore down the rides in 2019. Great review!
I think to give this place a bad review would be a crime.
My brother is stationed in the coastguard in sturgeon bay about a half hour away and l visited this summer and we went here little Amerricka my Olympus and great America this place was cool Zippin Pippin was awesome and is in my top 20 the park was well kept cheap and very pretty right next to Lake Michigan can’t wait to go back this upcoming summer
Go here every year since Green Bay is the closest city where there is stuff to do. The Zippin Pippin means so much to me!
I live near green bay wisconsin and i visit here with my family every summer! It is really nice and cheap! I would recomend visiting this amusement park!!
I live about 30 minutes away from Green Bay and we would go here all the time when we were younger, we even have pictures of me and my siblings in that little kiddie caterpillar ride. Maybe Im a little biased, but this place is super fun to hang out with your family and i would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area, just..yeah, as you said i wouldnt recommend traveling super far to get here unless youre really interested in the zippin pippin.
We go here every summer with my kids and their cousins (10 kids and 8 adults). We will be there for 5-6 hours and spend less than $50. It’s insane. They’ve just added a new ride called NebulaZ. Can’t wait to get on it next summer.
What's the most shocking thing is that Zippin Pippin has higher capacity than any of Mt. Olympus' coasters (30 vs 24) and when I went It ran 2 trains.
I'm surprised that Mt. Olympus hasn't fallen yet. That place is hella sketch, but that did make it quite fun, but in the near-death feeling type of way.
I used to go to Green Bay once or twice a year for the first half of my life & never knew this existed. Most likely because it was always during Thanksgiving or Christmas we went. Now I’m sad I never I went.

We made the drive after we finished doing all the coasters in the Dells, and got there 45 minutes before they closed. Got 2 rides in on Zippin Pippin, and it was totally worth it! 😃

I would bike here from the University and ride zippin pippin because why not! The lunch break thing is what I did a lot living there 😅

The only reason I go here is cuz I live about 45 minutes away, but I love coming here, mainly because Zippin Pippin is honestly fantastic. And while there isn’t a lot to do in Green Bay, it’s a nice town and heaven if you’re a Packer fan like me. However, just a short drive away is Door County, and there’s a LOT to do there. I would highly recommend spending at least a couple days there if you have time and you’re in the area. Tons of state parks, beaches, cute little towns with fun little shops and restaurants, etc.
Have you taken any of the trolley tours in Door County? If not, I highly recommend it!

FYI, Bay Beach Amusement Park only operates Memorial weekend to about Labor Day weekend because most of the hires are college students.
As a person who lives near bay beach, I never knew that it was so cheap! And so uncommon. Kids parents make it seem like it’s 100 bucks just to go there- I know mine do.

If every city had such a nice little park? The world would be a much better place. There is no reason something like Oscars wacky taxi style rides cannot be all over the place.

Fair warning, this park can get mobbed on weekends. We went on a Saturday in June a couple years ago and Zippin Pippin was probably about a 45 minute wait. That said, it was a nice little park if you don't mind trekking up there, and if you're doing a coaster tour of the area they've got the second best in the state.
Once, I had to wait nearly 1.5 hours, but it was packed with students on a field trip haha
i only had to wait 30 minutes in june or august.. i went on it twice

I did! I had permission to fly, wouldn't recommend doing it without speaking to someone from the park about it first

That slide is crazy it’s so steep it’s not much cause it’s a matt slide but for a matt slide literally the best it can be

Knoebels is not cheap. It will cost you $60 per book or more only for a few rides then you have to pay more just a ride them again. But I still like going.
My grandparents took my parents there, my parents to me there, now i take my kids there. Where else in the world can you entertain a family of 4 all day ( 7hrs ) for only $25 in 2022.
with the dells so far away from people in the area tho it's got its charms . i miss their old swimming pool (joking, it was disgusting)

Wow! It’s crazy how the cheapest coaster in the USA is here. Does this park ever adjust prices for inflation?
The coaster was built in this millennia so isn't even like they set a price ages ago and stuck to it - it debuted this cheap recently.
Look up the economy history of green Bay. Very very interesting what they did there with their NFL team. Place is insanely co.munity based.
They have raised with inflation they raised there tickets from opening day a hundred years ago from 10 cents to 25 cents if you can call that inflation

OK DON'T INSULT KNOEBELS. Baybeach is a shitty Park. Knoebels has lots of rewards, Golden ticket awards. You just offend a lot of amusement parks enthusiasts. But I will call out a lot of enthusiasts. You dissed Pennsylvania on quote. It's all good ppl have opinions. I do salty on knoebels comparisons.
How Lame Six Flags Magic Mountain is a lot better.
I mean, it's not built to be the best park in the world. It's meant to be a park anybody can go to and just hang and have fun, which it exceeds at. Of course the park with almost 20 coasters would be better lol
Well since SFMM is in California they'd be better off relocating what they can to make other parks better and to expand while Cali slowly dies and becomes worse and worse lol. Who even wants to travel there anymore other than to casually loot and get five boosters and nine masks like a crazy person.
