Eddie V. You are truly an amazing human (🏄 surfer) being. I can remember a long long time ago when my life was aimless boring and senseless .I was a security guard on a construction site in Victorville California . With wood framed up walls a little drywall and no windows and I walked and danced and ran around inside the Halls of that unfinished building with my Sony Walkman headphones on for almost a year with nothing but Pearl Jam lodged inside the music machine that's all I could do that's all I wanted to do that's all I still want to do is listen in to your soothing sounds. Pearl Jam changed my life and I'm a very successful person to this day . Live- love - & - listen to your people Eddie.
My hero and inspiration. His music makes me happy and smile 😃 I listen to him mostly all day everyday. Thank you for encouragement and music.🤟 I love you ♥🥰
Eddie Vedder is the man with the most amazing voice. I love his shy ways. "Black" is the first song that I heard of his & I knew I had to find out who sung it. I have been following his songs ever since. I love this man.
I’m 70 and I love Eddie Vedder talent , his voice is outstanding. He puts his heart and soul into his singing. My eldest son who passed away 27 years ago who got me listening to Pearl Jam he also played musical instruments and wanted to be in a band. Eddie Vedder reminds me of my son, both with great character and work ethic and kind to everyone he meant. Every time I hear Eddie Vedder sing it reminds me of my son. Similar in looks as well. I will listen sometimes to Pearl Jam for hours. I feel they are the best from that era still great.
Much respect to Eddie Vedder! This was a very interesting Bio, & I really think this Rock Star deserves every single cent he gets. He is honestly a wonderful person who has never forgotten what it's like to struggle. STAY HEALTHY, in August 2020, everyone, & VOTE in November 2020! It will go down in history as 1 of the most important times to VOTE.
I was a terrible opiate addict, I was gonna end up dead or in jail, for longer than I'd already been, so I decided to lock myself in my room out on my grandparents farm, and listen to PJ for about 13 days...worked better than any rehab, I have 7 years clean this month..he saved my life
Why did they name their first album Ten? Because that was Mookie Blaylock's number! Eddie does a lot for the environment. He loves the ocean and ocean life. He and his wife do so much more for kids in hospitals and for the community that isn't listed because they don't do it for the cameras! He's truly one of the good guys.

Eddie landed in San Diego long before 1984. He was in my 6th grade class in 1976. He lived about 15 minutes from me. He was always kind and soft spoken. Really a cool guy.
Actor Johnny Depp was also involved in that. He and Damien Echols are close. He's on Johnny's Instagram page. Johnny and Damien share matching tattoos. I love watching Eddie and Johnny perform the song Society.
I like his sincerity... seems like an down to earth person and he definitely can sing. How he has helped people shows his compassionate heart. Thank you 😊
This band is unreal and they just don’t talk the talk... I’m proud to have been a fan from day 1 ... keep it going fellas... we all love what you stand for!
Eddie you are one of a kind!! I first heard your music way back when I was stuck in a war thorn country with bunch of my friends listening to “Ten” late into the night over and over again. It was 1993 and yes “Ten “ was released few years earlier and since my country was in turmoil we were lagging after the rest of the world for a few years. I was 18 and wouldn’t change a thing about anything I have lived trough as well as hearing you guys few years later than rest of the world. Universe brought it into my life at most perfect moment. Life was something of a survival mode mixed with lots of intoxication to bare trough those morbid days filled with innocent people being killed on a daily basis hunger, fear and getting trough it by killing precious memory cells was an perfect option. Life could have been easily lost but since that was our only reality we had no choice but make best out of it and come out “Alive” Thank you Eddie for trying to change the world and make it better place, for letting your true purpose shine trough and in that offer an eye opener to those in need. Your clairvoyant fan who still get goosebumps when listening to “Ten”Love and light !!🌸 888 comments 8 my life # and 6 my chosen#
He's a true survivor. The fact that he successfully avoided the band killer (Heroine) is just amazing. All the other grunge frontmen of his era has passed away. Mostly due to suicide and drugs but he's I, ao he's still alive
I visited Taos Pueblo years ago and was i was invited into one of the elders houses. There was a picture of Eddie on a table. Someone asked why there was a photo of him and the elderly man said it was his grandson.................
Worked at a gas station in 1993. Carved "Eddie Vedder is God" on the desk that held the credit card reader. I'm 55 years old now and that seems kinda silly. But Goddammit Ed, you're still an absolute freak of nature. Thanks dude.
eddie is one of the persons who influenced my life so much that i still listen to their music till today!! songs from ten, vitalogy and vs, always always in my playlist!!
I remember one of the first interviews they ever did, that I heard, was for a Chicago music station and Eddie was amazing, so honest, I could tell shy, but straight, even then it was about the music, being sincere, what his fans wanted - not about looking 'good' and sounding like a pretentious prima donna which is how the interviewer was trying to angle it... Always loved him, deserves all the success and good will possible... And he's a unique performer! 🙏👍✨😎
I know that feeling of having bills at 16, I was forced to choose between work and school by my vice principal when he showed up at the place I was resting when I ran away from my step-mother's house. That broke my heart to know he also knows the pain of living an adult life while your peers were still living teenage lives. I don't know many people that have experienced this 😢💔 I have a deeper respect and admiration for him and his art now.
Eddie Vedder was my first love when I was 10 years old. I got the Ten album on my 10th birthday and the rest is history. I've always kept up with him and love him more than any musician.
Pearl Jam has always been my all time favorite, I like a lot of music. God Bless, Eddie Vedder, a true life saver and an Extraordinarily beautiful human being, thanks for sharing your God given talent with us, and using it so awesomely. I listen daily. Thanks
Thankyou EddieVedder for being you. You are a rare and wonderful person. The love of my life. Your passion for music, your fans, family and friends and people in general is what I love about you. Stay as you are and keep making this world a safe and better place through your music, hard work and your love of life 💗💗💗💗
Perhaps ONCE listened to, ONE of the most influential bands I have ever heard, Pearl Jam reminds me of a time when I was in late teens, great before college finals and higher further education, always follow your heart, otherwise you are wasting any gifts you have. Musik a great career, ART also is creative. Thankyou for some good times through listening to your MUSIC
Eddie by far my favorite musician. I love what he stands for and the message that n his songs. God bless him and hopefully he continues to share his music with us.
I love that he is so real and true to being an altruistic person and he has integrity and humility and he stands up for what's right and always has! I still remember those crazy Rock the vote commercials back in 92 I mean he was just hitting the scene and already helping make a very important message hopefully get across to the youth. I mean he was so young it's just adorable and then you look at him now and honestly he just looks so distinguished! He doesn't look old he doesn't look over aged from booze and drugs he just looks distinguished and full of character which we know he is. One of my favorite people on the planet for sure. I just love that we still have him. I mean so many around him have fallen I'm just really grateful that we at least still have Eddie Vedder and what a great guy he is.
yall came through seattle for the home tour.. thank you so much. i've been off/on the streets on the west coast for 15 years. it's been fun, life changing, and hard. your music has been so relative in it's many ways; and not to mention the donations i know ya'll make to services that have fed, bathed, and clothed me while helping me figure out what it means to be a human being around here. much appreciated.
I always enjoy hearing things about P.J. and Eddie and how other people came to find the band.e.g. someone told them, heard a song on the radio. I myself had just returned from Okinawa and the first Gulf War and was still pretty freaked about things. I recall driving up I-95 on a swoop home from Lejeune and getting around Baltimore listening to 98 ROCK when I heard my first PJ song. Being in Japan for 26 months I hadn't heard all the new realeases yet and really started catching them on the radio back in the states. I remember Nirvana Teen Spirit was really kicking ass, but than I heard Alive and I was hooked. I didn't understand Eddie's lyrics the first time, but could clearly hear the "I'm still alive". While I know now this is not the meaning of his song, it simply resonated with me about how glad I was to still be alive, even though I was unable to mentally quantify it at the time. Eddie pulled me up with one song, I've been a die-hard fan ever since. Saw my first show in San Diego in 93 freaking legendary.
@mark james I do. I've never shot anyone? Do you always hate with your heart? If so, Vedder hates you, as I'm sure he understands the price of freedom.
I have been a fan of Pearl Jam for years!!! Chased seeing them for years and the greatest day I ever had was when they came to New York.. I told my husband use my card I don’t care about the price of the tickets l just want to see them live ..just once..it’s money well spent just to hear one of the greatest voices in rock history live and in person
I think an extremely important point as to why Pearl Jam still exists today is that fairly early on they allowed themselves to have side projects and solo careers. All members of Pearl Jam pursue other other interests, play for and with other bands, endorse their own charities and fellow musicians, create artwork, etc. The freedoms this gives individuals of the band allows them to not only bring new-found passions and ideas back into the band but removes tensions that come with the idea of placing a band above all else. Let us also not forget that though Eddie brought the final touch to Pearl Jam, the band’s Seattle Rock basis was Stone and Jeff, who had already partially fathered the genre. All Pearl Jam musicians, not forgetting Mike and Matt brought their own musical pasts to form a talent-symbiosis. This was then enhanced by not gluing the members permanently together but allowing each member to partake in the soup of music, art, family, activism and life.
Who's listening in 2022. That's a real hero. Never heard of someone else like him. He gives all his got. My favourite band from the 90s is Pearl Jam and Nirvana.
Some people don't like him because he's outspoken and opinionated with certain political topics. Personally that doesn't really bother me, especially with him because he does more than just talk. This dude has always gone out of his way to show his appreciation towards fans, and is very philanthropic towards many different groups of people. Not to mention, he's an amazing singer, songwriter, and frontman. I've seen PJ live three times and even though they're starting to get a little old they still fill stadiums and play 3+ hour shows with tons of energy and passion. He and his crew have been crushing it for 30 years without missing a beat. He's one of my biggest influences as a musician, I'd be flattered if I ever got the chance to meet him.
Hi 👋 I have always respected Mr. Vedder very much. He is a very sensitive real human being. @fvck ïtœl Chris could hit all the notes, he was just having trouble going back and forth. Vedder was watching, and decided to jump in and help. It worked, Chris dug it, and that's how they did it.
Thanks Einstein. Chris used to play guitar before becoming a vocalist. Life is crazy.
Hunger strike....great song
Love Eddie. Love Pearl Jam. Their music makes me happy.
Thank you for encouragement and music.🤟 I love you ♥🥰
Ya, he's a cool guy.
Musically, I'm more of a Soundgarden fan, but I've always liked Eddie. Nice video! Thank you!
Chris is one of the finest of musicians vocally(rip) but, Eddie explores new projects and his depth is uncanny.
Me too, but Pearl Jam isn't far behind.
I like how Grunge's Truth About isn't necessarily drama, and shade, just insight. It's refreshing.
Nothing but respect for this man
Eddie Vedder is the man with the most amazing voice. I love his shy ways.
"Black" is the first song that I heard of his & I knew I had to find out who sung it.
I have been following his songs ever since. I love this man.
YOU must be TONE DEAF !!
Ah good old Eddie. A wonderful soul. We need more Eddies in the world.
I was a terrible opiate addict, I was gonna end up dead or in jail, for longer than I'd already been, so I decided to lock myself in my room out on my grandparents farm, and listen to PJ for about 13 days...worked better than any rehab, I have 7 years clean this month..he saved my life
good job dude
Wow. MORE POWER TO YOU. ♥️♥️♥️♥️
@@lincolnjudge5230 well recording was 3 weeks. Many songs were written stone years earlier. The lyrics were written over a period of about 8 months from when they met eddie until they recorded for the 3 weeks. So 10 days, no
and ten hands on the album cover is a nice touch
Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, & Soundgarden.....
still listen to those bands daily as I sit in commute traffic for 2 hours coming home for work!
Eddie landed in San Diego long before 1984. He was in my 6th grade class in 1976. He lived about 15 minutes from me. He was always kind and soft spoken. Really a cool guy.
what he did for the west memphis 3, i mean, can i really say anything? the action speaks for itself, what a stand-up man. God Bless u Eddie
Thank you 😊
No day passes as i am listening to PJ's music. Every day, probably till i die....
This band is unreal and they just don’t talk the talk... I’m proud to have been a fan from day 1 ... keep it going fellas... we all love what you stand for!
What an amazing, phenomenal human being. Wish there were more like him.
The music of Pearl Jam was always on my side throughout my life bringing back lots of memories
Thank you for the experience
He's a true survivor. The fact that he successfully avoided the band killer (Heroine) is just amazing. All the other grunge frontmen of his era has passed away. Mostly due to suicide and drugs but he's I, ao he's still alive
I visited Taos Pueblo years ago and was i was invited into one of the elders houses. There was a picture of Eddie on a table. Someone asked why there was a photo of him and the elderly man said it was his grandson.................
@@grungestoryteller Oh poor you. Better keep off the meth
But yield ,i can't forget
Great to see someone who is extremely talented, fortunate and at the same time very humble!
His voice is amazing, he is in my eyes, the sexiest man that ever lived and he has a heart of gold. I seriously love Eddie vedder.
Me too! My pretend husband lol
My pretend husband too and im not gay! @@heyitsme6067
Idk how true that is... every account of his life I’ve heard has said he was from an upper middle class family 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
@@stephanherbert1803 Yes, but then his mom and step father divorced and he left home at 15.
They’ve always been one of my favorite bands. All the guys seem cool and normal
Love Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder. Their music makes my life whole🥰
Stay as you are and keep making this world a safe and better place through your music, hard work and your love of life 💗💗💗💗
Thank you Jennifer for your love and support. How long have you been listening to my songs?
Man I wish him all the best! I really love him as a human being. His songs will live in my heart forever.
Thankyou for some good times through listening to your MUSIC
eddie vedder is definitely one of the best men in this world. and pj is absolutely my favorite band.
Being overwhelmed by a need to not let anyone down...I SO get this. It is exhausting...
Can't get Eddie Vedder than this!
All love and respect for Eddie 💜💜
I LOVE HIS DEEP VOICE. HAD NO IDEA.
I love this guy so much that I named my oldest son after him.
Eddie by far my favorite musician. I love what he stands for and the message that n his songs. God bless him and hopefully he continues to share his music with us.
Mother Love Bone wasn't impressed by Eddie Vedders song because it ISNT Eddie Vedders song. This video has got it's facts all over the place
yeah this channel is drunk....
They created the music and sent it out to many artists to find a replacement vocalist. Eddie got the track, recorded vocals over it and they liked it.
@@tramenari Now thats what should have been said. Maybe even add that it was all made possible by Jack Irons
Agree...it states the members followed him to Seattle. Mother Love Bone was based in Seattle and Eddie came to them. Thankfully!!
Kevin- only a few of us know the truth. People may love him but I don't envy someone that can't or won't walk around freely in the town they live in
Wow you sense his life journey through his story telling ! Good man! 🙌🏼❤️
I've met him once, super nice guy. Stopped to chat and even gave me his personal guitar pic. Keep rocking on EV 🤟
The truth is he's an amazing lyricist and songwriter.
yall came through seattle for the home tour.. thank you so much. i've been off/on the streets on the west coast for 15 years. it's been fun, life changing, and hard. your music has been so relative in it's many ways; and not to mention the donations i know ya'll make to services that have fed, bathed, and clothed me while helping me figure out what it means to be a human being around here. much appreciated.
I didn't know he had a rough past, and music unites him with us
I always enjoy hearing things about P.J. and Eddie and how other people came to find the band.e.g. someone told them, heard a song on the radio.
Out of all the Grunge singer's he is still alive. Damn
God he was beautiful when young and what a beautiful voice!!!
Still is IMHO, beautiful inside and out!
We judge and think we know people, this guy came the hard way. Good story. I love his music.
This story makes me so happy. Pearl Jam and other grunge bands made music so much better for everyone.
We love you Eddie. Please keep on staying alive!
Grunge save my life.
I love you Eddie ❤️💙
I wish to see you live on future.
Love this man, got to talk to him on internet yrs ago. He sang a couple songs. Very sweet man.
He's a lot more thoughtful on the issues than his critics. He has genuine empathy and it comes through in his music.
Hi 👋 I have always respected Mr. Vedder very much. He is a very sensitive real human being. Happy to know he is okay notwithstanding the hardships ...and yes depression is a tough reality but Mr. Vedder and the band is very much loved. Thank you Pearl Jam,! Great quality people...and I often listen to him and them here in an awful city he knows well...Roma...Italia...he would probably say...change your glasses roberta...and be wiser! Hugs
He’s still my very favorite musician. This band ultimately saved my life on more than one occasion. #Grateful 💙
Thank you Stepho for your love and support. How long have you been listening to my songs?
