Paddy Mayne was a brilliant soldier and didn't know what fear was, I and lots of other people think it's an absolute travesty that he didn't get the Victoria Cross medal because he certainly deserved one and should have got one. Unfortunately some people higher up thought he was psychotic and that's most probably why he didn't get one. He destroyed more enemy aircraft than alot of fighter pilots managed to do and he wasn't adverse to taking out enemy aircrew while he was at it. I thought Jack O'connell was awesome as Paddy.

I love this show. My problem is that it's only 6 episodes. They just get a good rhythm going and it ends. Season 2 launches in the next few weeks in the UK, dunno for US, next year obviously. I am looking forward to next season. It takes place back in UK with the _Build up._ One of my uncles was part of that Regiment.
How can someone make a Show with just 6 Episodes and call it "Show"? The produce Shit i dont want to mention here more like the Folks of Harry Potter Voldemort but such Gems? That is a bigger madness that this SAS Dude.

How they can take a man such as Robert Mayne and turn is beyond me. The producers of this show don't deserve to be telling this story - they are filling it with Hollywood bullshit when it doesn't need any.

.... I mean at least he was nice enough to let that one guy get a sip of water
That one was a Jewish soldier who lost his family to the camps if I remember correctly. Nice for Paddy to like him!
By far one of the funniest scenes I've scene in modern media!

No disrespect, this is a genuine question. For which action should he have been awarded the VC?

This just reminds me of 80's action movies and how they were geared toward gay men.
