I am an ex-muslim, born and raised in an islamic country under islamic rules. I was a proud muslim till the age of 27. When I was a muslim I tried my best to please God, but I was always feeling something is missing. I used to compare myslef with others and feel I am a better person than them. But deep down I knew I will most probably end up in hell. There was big void in my heart.
God saved me through his amazing miraculous way. I read the bible. It changed my entire world.I accepted Jesus as my lord and savior.
After leaving Islam I lost the chance of having successful jobs and material possessions and suffered from unemployment. But Jesus is worth my entire life my every single breath.
I am now 42 years and I am still in love with Jesus. I read my Bible every day and try to grow closer to Lord. Jesus is the only way! All praise to God. ❤

This isn't a mistranslation...its a readers error. He was 22 when he took the thrown. His family ruled for 42 years.
He first reign during his father sickness at 22, then he reigner again in his 42.

The two examples of numerical discrepancy here have to do with a decade in the number given. Ahaziah is said to have been 22 in 2 Kings 8:26; while in 2 Chronicles 22:2 Ahaziah is said to have been 42. Fortunately there is enough additional information in the Biblical text to show that the correct number is 22. Earlier in 2 Kings 8:17 the author mentions that Ahaziah's father Joram ben Ahab was 32 when he became King, and he died eight years later, at the age of 40. Therefore Ahaziah could not have been 42 at the time of his father's death at age 40!
Such scribal errors do not change Jewish or Christian beliefs in the least. In such a case, another portion of scripture often corrects the mistake (2 Kings 8:26 in this instance). We must also remember that the scribes who were responsible for the copies were meticulously honest in handling Biblical texts. They delivered them as they received them, without changing even obvious mistakes, which are few indeed.
@@OneGodhead Both numbers are correct (Kings and Chronicles speak of different details, just like the 4 Gospel accounts do): 42 is the age of the house of Omri when Ahaziah (whose mother was Athaliah, daughter of Omri of Israel) began to reign over Judah.
See 1 Ki. 16:23 (Omri), 1 Ki. 16:29 (Ahab), 1 Ki. 22:51 (Ahaziah), and then Joram 2 Ki. 3:1 - exactly 42 years.
@@gunstar168 it is a copyist error, my Bible version mentions Ahaziah to be 22 in both verses, you can’t say it refers to the house of omri when the verse says, Forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem.that would imply he had 2 reigns.

Ppl are so quick to rule an error in the Bible, I use to be the same way until I watched Kent hovind answering errors n the Bible.

The Jews are God's people. Prophesy states that the Jews will accept Jesus in the last days.. The Messianic Jews are currently the fastest Christian group in the world and especially in Israel. Someone needs to do a study on this as this is leterally Bible prophesy appearing right before our eyes! I felt drawn to the name when I was saved and born again in high school reading my Bible and a few days later a baby boy named Reuben ( a child I never met before) cried to be placed in my hands and stopped immediately after. Reuben “Behold a son”. It’s awesome to see Reuben receive the Gospel here! ❤
I saw Ruben in a video long ago and cried. Hes so sincere and hungry for the Messiah. I cried then, and almost again, seeing this. I pray that his life is for the Lord!

(Y. Ali) - "If thou wert in doubt as to what We have revealed unto thee, then ask those who have been reading the Book from before thee: the Truth hath indeed come to thee from thy Lord: so be in no wise of those in doubt."
(Sahih Int'l) - "So if you are in doubt, [O Muhammad], about that which We have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters."

● Omri founded his dynasty in 929 B.C. Ahaziah ascended the throne in 887 as a Viceroy. 929 - 887 = 42

representing the dynasty of his great-grandfather Omri. He was 22 years old at that time.

There is an answer, but it is not quite he reigned at 22 and then 42, because if you notice 2 Kings has him die differently than in 2 Chronicles... There is a answer, and it comes down to acknowledging the context of both chapters... Please watch the video provided in the link:

First time i saw the interview with Ruben in another video, it really brought tears to my eyes. It was so powerful. Imagine how the angels in heaven rejoicing when this jewish man opened his heart to Jesus. The muslim young lady is so sweet. I truly hope she will open up her heart to our savior Jesus Christ as i also hope for all of the people. I can imagine how difficult it must be to turn to Jesus when coming from islam and jewdaism, where many of their families and friends may not eccept the turn from religion to Jesus. Wow. Ive watched so many of these over the years. This one with the jewish professor has truly impacted me. Ive never had tears over any of these engagements before. I know personally that when we pray, FROM THE HEART, from the depths of our soul as far away from our ego as we can get, and ask from God, he ALWAYS provides. I prayed for a testimony 2 years ago that i would be unable to deny so i could know Jesus and the gospel as true, i cried and cried through out being honest with Heavenly Father, and fell asleep for work, and awoke that night and got my testimony on the drive to work after first hand witnessing a miracle and getting to serve Christ while a woman who had just been hit in standstill traffic by a semi at nearly full speed was inside a crushed car called out for Jesus. I got to walk onto the interstate and answer the call for Jesus and pray for her in His name. Just moments before, I saw a super bright light in the sky so marvelous I recorded a video to snapchat "Wow, ive never seen such a bright star!!!" ... Moments later I come upon the crash scene involving 6 vehicles.. Read Revelations 22, verse 16. It confirmed to me this was a testimony given to both me and this woman I was able to be there for. ❤
So I'm watching this beautiful video and reading the comments noticing that many stated that they cried when watching the gentleman at the end. Why is it that when he decides to give his life to Christ, did my eyes start to tear up as well? What a beautiful moment.

There is a theory that says The 42 years is a reference not to Ahaziah's age
but where he came in the history of his family's
dynasty. Ahaziah was in the family of King Ahab of
Israel, which 2 Chronicles 22:2-3 points out. That
dynasty began with his grandfather Omri. The
lengths of the reigns of all the kings in this family
are as follows:
Omri - 6 years
Ahab:
- 22 years
Ahaziah (of Israel) - 2 years
Joram (or Jehoram) - 12 years

Since Ahaziah began to reign in Judah in the last year of Joram’s reign in Israel (2 Kings 8:25), Ahaziah would have ascended the throne in the 42nd year of that dynasty in Israel, which explains his being called “a son of forty-two years.” Ahaziah was a “son” of the dynasty of Omri, which was in its 42nd year when he took the throne. 2 Kings 8:26 gives us Ahaziah’s age, and 2 Chronicles 22:2 gives us the age of his family’s rule.

A number of English translations follow the Septuagint and translate it as twenty-two. For example, the New International Version says:
Ahaziah was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem one year. His mother’s name was Athaliah, a granddaughter of Omri. (2 Chronicles 22:2 NIV)
Thus, there is no contradiction here if the New International Version has the correct reading.¨¨

Ahaziah was 22 when he became king of Judah, however he reigned only for one year in Jerusalem also at the same time when he was 42. No contradiction but the devil will mislead you to believe there is. Read the entire story to understand in context. Judah and Jerusalem are different cities in Israel and Israel had many kings at the same time in different provinces or cities.
the three people Ray interviewed inspired me. The young lady was open minded and full of grace, I hope she will be convinced to come to Chris after she reads Rays book. The young man seemed very interested in what Ray was saying, I was reminded of scripture via this interview. Ezekiel 37:4 “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! 5 Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. “And the last guy, the older man, Oh, how I felt for him. ❤ oh my! When the Jewish man asked, “Is that all it takes?” I burst into tears. You see, as a former catholic I was STILL uttering , “If I can get there (Heaven).” Once I fully realized after my salvation that I DID believe and am saved, it was like a huge weight was lifted off of me with that knowledge! My husband sent me a John Mac Arthur deep dive video which explained my salvation in repenting of my sins and believing in Christ. I cried my eyes out. “Me?” I thought aloud. I actually have eternal life???” After that, I fully understood the work the Holy Spirit did in me!!!!❤. I hope they come to faith! N good job, Ray!
