Egg artist here. This is one of the best tool videos I have seen. Good production values and content delivered in short & succinct format. Have used a Foredom drill micro motor for over 25 years to intricately cut quail thru emu and rhea eggshells. This new tool intrigues me with the extra power up to 50K. More RPM means less vibration in the shell resulting in smoother cuts and less breakage. I have an air drill but cleanup and maintenance is a chore - especially when I can do 90% of my cutting with the Foredom. Was just about to buy a cordless engraver for scratch eggs but thought I’d check out Foredom again. Good to see this new product. Would really appreciate a source for quality diamond burrs (ball, flame, disc and various wedge shapes). Am so exasperated with burrs which have a short use life!
Is Foredom going to release a brushless hammer handpiece? I was upset to learn that the current hammer handpiece is not compatible with my K1060 brushless Micromotor.

Awesome but you didn’t show us how to change the adapter when want to change from 2,32 to 1,8
can you use this with a hammer piece? then unplug that and use the brushless piece. switch between the 2 as needed?
could some one of your staff suggest which Foredom machine would be the best choice for carving 1 inch coloured slab glass. I Can supply more details if needed. Thanks

I am wondering if the handpiece is any lighter than the quick change. I am beginning to have issues with my hand cramping and getting spasms and am curious if the micromotor might be a better option.

The micro motor handpieces with the exception of the K.1030 handpiece H.MH-130 are all heavier than the flexible shaft handpieces. However, the micro motor handpieces are not much heavier and due to the handpiece cord set are much more maneuverable and easier to position and hold.

@Foredom Looks great- would love to see a companion of this and the 1060. I am trying to decide if I should buy a hammer handpiece for my 1060 or buy a new unit so I have 2- my focus would be metal engraving with some stone setting any advice,? I currently use my 1060 for power carving and love it!! Thanks.

Does the '1040' have more torque at the lower rpm setting?

how does Foredom justify $795 price tag for a micro motor..?
find a high quality brushless micromotor for less than that. brushless is superior to brushed, and pretty much all models are this price
My worst purchase! Don't buy this product! Three months after use, the handpiece stopped opening! The company said that this is my problem and does not want to repair under warranty - they demand money for it! The most terrible product and terrible service I've ever seen!!!
